Current Manga Obsession : Fruits Basket

: have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons :

Hello! Welcome to my profile~ I love to write. I tend to ship kind of unpopular pairings, so if you want to talk about anything, send me a PM! I'm willing to beta for you if you like, and I love to read other people's fics and help people get better at writing.

: I have measured out my life with coffeespoons :

I tend to update kinda irregularly: this is pretty much due to school and stuff. I'm in college (shocking!) so I don't have that much free time. If you want to read more of my stuff, I'm on LJ as commodoreschick. Typically, you'll see new chapters from me or new stories during the times that I'm not in school, like winter vacation, a ton during summer, spring break, etc.

Or just whenever I have a few spare moments.

: I have heard the voices dying with a dying fall :

Q: Why are you always doing a barrage of updates and killz0ring the Tsubasa fanfic page?

A: I'm not doing it on purpose, I swear! Currently, and probably for the next two weeks or so, I'm going to be updating like crazy so that I can finish my fanfic100 table for Kurogane before it hits its second anniversary. If you're curious, the table's at my LJ along with my progress. I just can't stand letting the thing sit around for another year because I won't have time to work on it until next summer.

Q: What's up with you only writing during summers? Why not just the whole year?

A: I live at collegeland over the school year. It might seem weird to people, but I'm studying to become an astrophysicist, and I have LOTS of work to do. So much so that it prevents me from doing a lot of fun, on-the-side stuff that I would normally like to continue during the year. Basically, I end up posting massively in the summer because it's the one time I have free time. That, and Christmas break and spring break. So, I post a lot in the summer to make up for all the time that I'm not posting during the school year.

Q: How are you not dead?

A: I die periodically and then come back, all phoenix-like. That is just how it goes.

Q: What keeps you going?

A: Good music ("Viva la Vida" is such a Jade song), a Kurogane obsession, and reckless diligence. Once I've set my mind to something, I do it. Recklessly and with great abandon.

Q: So...your favorite Tsubasa character is Kurogane, right?

A: I'm not really sure. I've always been caught between Kurogane and Fai, and it was a really tough choice for me when I first claimed my 100 table about which to do it for (I almost claimed two separate tables and decided not to at the last moment). I chose Kurogane because I understood him less and figured that writing a ton about him would force me to figure him out. I love Fai, and I also love Kurogane. It's like an onion, writing, finding out more reasons why Kurogane's so awesome.

Q: Why 'cryptically'?

A: I honestly have no idea. It's a mystery.

Q: How can you want to be a scientist? You can write in words that don't explode my brain!

A: I like science. I like writing. I try to be good at things I like. Plus, I get to wear a lab coat. :D

: beneath the music from a further room :

Current Projects! (these will be the ones I update most) :

Of Origami Cranes and a Paper Heart (Tsubasa) : a KuroSaku romance! ha! Ah, crack-parings. How I love this one so much.

Promise Me This (Tsubasa) : KuroTomo at last. I've been secretly shipping this without really writing on it, so here's my contribution to the fandom. I originally intended it to be oneshot, but it evolved into a full story.

// --> :on hold: Romance in Three-Fourths Time (Harvest Moon) : Still not sure if it's DoctorxClaire or GrayxClaire. Hmm... //

I want to write a JadexTear fic for ToA. I have no idea why. This might be due to insanity or just my reaction to getting out so many Kuro fics in such a short span of time. Who knows...
