Age: I wouldn't trust what people place in this category. Nor should you.

So, uh... finally decided to do something here and, well... wow. I mean, I'm looking at how much space there is as I type it's pretty damn barren. Right then, I am, quite frankly, bored stiff. And procrastinating, but that's another matter entirely. So, to those poor souls unfortunate enough to stumble upon this forsaken URL, I figure that I might as well provide you with some reading material. Doubt you'll actually read it -what with, you know, the writhing in agony and all-, yet why not?

I've hung about this site longer than I've been a member, which is really a pointless bit of information, but it may just give the illusion that I at least know my way around this place. I don't write much, as evidenced by the one fic down below, though I do enjoy betaing. ... hmmm, what else? Ah, yes. I enjoy intelligent discussion, so if you're feeling shy, go ahead and PM me. One, two, three and cue the cricket chirp. I do have the occasional thought on this, that and the other, so I suppose that I might as well put a few down in the...

Opinions Section

Slash: Personally, I don't really have anything against this, apart from intolerance gathered over a substantial period of time. This is because of fangirls and fanboys. They go against canon often, grammar is brutalised and molested for jollies, characterisation is terrible, I'm petrified of reading any lemons that they may write, their motives are often ridiculous, et cetera. It's not all bad, just done by bad writers most of the time. Just too cynical and jaded to go near the stuff now.

Lemons: Again, a similar situation to Slash. I don't really care, but a lot of people know squat about writing it. As such, they'll often turn out trashy, inarticulate wastes of time. I'd throw in some advice, but everyone is so eager to condemn these days, it's just not worth the heckling I'd receive.

Rape: Look, for all that this is an extremely controversial subject, I do have some things to say. However. I'm afraid that if I do say them, I'll influence some fool fan already deluded into thinking that they're talented and 'special', inevitably ending in the blame landing squarely at my feet. Despite that, I do side with members like CalliopeMused and Kayasuri-n in saying you should not write rape. In fact, most people on FF.net have neither the skills nor the talent -let alone a proper understanding- to even think about writing about rape. So it's not even a matter of 'don't' any more. You simply can't.

Flames: At least put some effort into flaming. Let me put it this way; If there is no 'l33t' speak, if you make an effort to properly utilise good grammar and if there is at least one reason, no matter how meagre, for why something sucks, I shall not report you or whatever. That's a promise, so there's no need to hide behind anonymity. Otherwise I shall do my best to exact revenge.

Reviews: I like a review as much as the next writer. It gives birth to a wonderfully tingly sensation that is really quite enjoyable. Cue the mocking... but even if you think there's nothing worth reviewing about in a fic, the kind thing to do is to simply leave a word of encouragement. Hell, most people won't even care if it's misspelt. And to all you writers out there, if you've never turned off the block on anonymous reviews, try it sometime. It may be bad every so often, but it can definitely be worth it at times. Oh, and, if you ever receive a review from me, then I'll always say 'Keep on updating' at the end. Unless, of course, it was horrendous, in which case said signature-of-sorts will be missing and I never want you to go near a word document -openoffice, whatever- again. But now I realise something could go wrong, so if the review was otherwise positive, it would be safe to assume that something did indeed go wrong, like... an avalanche or something

An Uneventful Death - Naruto - My first official fic on the site. Not terrible, but there's room for improvement. Still, I'm just happy I completed something!

Notes:

Ahh, this is so... pitiful! But... maybe I'll have something up in a month or so. Not sure. Still, there's a chance.
