Name: Please, call me Billi.

Muse: Cadmus-Aedan

Species: Dragon, miniature. Blue. (The muse, not me.)

Likes: Being a Christian -- it's an adventure that I wouldn't miss for the world! Reading. Writing (why else would I be here?) My computer. Christmas! Fairy Tales of most all varieties. Apples. Hats -- weird ones. Wooden pencils. Compositions books. Grammar: I'm wild about it. The smell of freshly washed (but not dried) laundry. Playing the piano. Bach. Almost all music. Acting. Middle schoolers. The smell of someone else making dinner.

Dislikes: Swearing. Flames. Authors who stop writing their stories in the middle. Mary Sues. 'Your mom' jokes. Not knowing what a word or abbreviation means. (I had a lot of trouble with that upon first coming to FanFiction. Since then I've discovered a marvelous website that explains a lot of that.)

Things I feel strongly about: I am very pro-Christianity; it's a lifestyle, not a religion. I am also pro-life! Abortion should be outlawed. I do understand that some people aren't ready to be parents, but according to my Christian beliefs, everything happens for a reason. Also, I think homosexuality is very wrong, and I read no slash stuff. Ick. Also, no incest. That's almost worse.

My opinion on ships: I stay away from them. Never really liked water... Besides, after the almost Titanic-like sinking of the HMS Harry/Hermoine, I am very wary of even beginning to think of a pairing.

Favorite Books: Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, by Jane Austen, Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkein, Mere Christianity, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Screwtape Letters, by C.S. Lewis, Left Behind (series), by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, Ella Enchanted, by Gail Carson Levine, Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, Redwall (series), Castaways of the Flying Dutchman (series), by Brian Jacques, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, Dead Bunnies, by Bryan Currie, The Prince and the Pauper, by Mark Twain, any and all fairy tales.

My favorites lists: I don't choose my favorites easily. The vast majority of my favorite stories are COMPLETE because it's hard to tell if a story is going to keep being awesome throughout the whole thing (at least it is for me). In order to be a favorite author for me, I have to like ALL their stories.

My Stories:

Courage Strongpaw: This is about where Mara came from, a sad-ish story, actually. Surprisingly. My first fanfic ever! I will re-write sometime. --grin--

Not All Surprises Are Pleasant: (AKA: Nasap) This one is a Fairy Tale with a plot of my own invention, though many other fairy tales are mentioned near the end. It is also my first experimentation with humans, and I guess it's going well -- no one's flamed me yet! --holds up fire extinguisher-- but I'm prepared! Yes, I know the basis is a bit clichè, (is it just me, or are arranged marriage fics everywhere!?) but I promise it gets better if you hang with it! Due for a rewrite.

Mary and Joseph: Just a little ficlet volunteering how things might have happened if Jesus were born modern day. Yes, it's complete. I have no wish to entangle myself in the research that would be most inevitably involved if I were to continue. At least, not yet... besides, if you want a good modern day Jesus story, read Eli; it's a fantastic book.

Odds and Endings: This ficlet ends 'Not All Surprises Are Pleasant' much more thoroughly, exploring snippets from the lives of Dannlin, Sarah, and Rose, as well as Faidn, and even Karl! I might even throw in a couple Nre/Carvin scenes, if my reviewers want me to.

Not All Princes Are Nice: This is a change of pace from Nasap. It's actually a stand-alone prequel about Nre's parents (Gloria and Thomas) and Carvin's father (Jared) that I was co-authoring with Cimh. It's very lighthearted and much more typical than Nasap. Basically, this one is for fun, and to get Cimh to realize she's not bad at writing. Although, now she's given the whole thing over to me, so the lightheartedness is going to be a bit tougher to muster without her!

Not All Books Should Be Read: (Called Jab for short, due to the original title: Judging a Book. I'm considering reverting to this title, but then I'd really have to change either Nasap's or NAPAN's title, and I don't know what else I would call them) This is a sequel to Nasap, following the adventure of Carvin and Nre's eldest daughter, Lilliana, who is a bookworm of the most stubborn nature. She finds a book she must read and, well... Not all books should be read. In case you're interested, this has some of Rose's backstory, too, along with the return of many Nasap characters like Sarah, Dannlin, Faidn, Carvin, and Nre.

I Do, But That's It: Begun in a fit of wounded justice, this story turned out to be more than a muse-soother. It's one of my more serious ones, about loving who you're with, even if it's not who you'd choose.

Highest Room, Tallest Tower: My first oneshot! It's a little drabble type of thing that I did to amuse myself and try out a different style, and it actually turned out alright!

Real People: I'm not sure exactly what to call this one: a compilation? It's going to be a story where every chapter is a oneshot of a Biblical event, retold in detail. It's meant to open people's eyes and help them remember that people in Bible times were real people too.

Somebody Spiked the Creek: This was written as a prize for Clar the Pirate, using mostly her invented characters. It's my own version of "Brother and Sister," a Grimm's fairy tale. If you enjoyed Samuel the Ridiculous in I Do, you might enjoy this little oneshot.

Roderic's Birthday Party: This is what happens when Billi has a crazy idea and runs with it. Meant purely for amusement, and containing, I'm sure, any number of typographical errors, due to the lack of proofreading, it's very strange. I tried a different style, and even a different tense. First person present tense -- scary! It is rather entertaining, though, I believe.

Scars' Barrow: I'm not sure what to call this one either. It is going to be six chapters, and the first and the last are like a prologue-epilogue sort of thing. The four in the middle each have two oneshots in the them. It follows the song "Scarborough Fair" which is one of my very favorite songs ever, and has a lot more meaning than some people give it credit for. The herbs in the chorus (parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme) each have meanings, and it's those meanings I've based my oneshots on. If you don't know the song, you can listen to Simon and Garfunkel's Canticle version at this link. Personally, I think it's rather too slow, but it was the best version I could find.

The Blooper Reel: This is just a hodge-podge of assorted scenes, arranged with barely any order, but with a few general classifications to keep you from being lost. It's for those who enjoyed I Do, and might not want to let go of the characters quite yet.

Dagger and Peas: All the description you probably need on this one is in the AN at the beginning of the story. Suffice it to say: it's a oneshot that has something to do with the Princess and Pea and features a very active narrator. Slightly po-mo, I've been told.

Joslyn: Written for the ficathon in the ACA forum (link below), this is a very direct allegorical retelling of a sort of Beauty and The Beast tale. Second person, this is a very Christ-centered piece. Personally, I think it's one of the best things I've ever written.

Strangled Ebb: Also written for the ficathon, this is a oneshot retelling The Little Mermaid from the witch's point of view.

'Pename here' drew a portrait of Roddy (from 'I Do, But That's It') Take a look.

Lobuck wrote a story about Faidn (from 'Not All Surprises Are Pleasant') link.
