I just sorta started this writing thing as a hobby after watching FFVII:AC for like a week straight. Most of my stuff is FFVII. After finishing the whole Full Metal Alchemist anime series I have also delved into that part of the writing mind as well.
I haven't had any inspiration for anything other than FFVII and so I apologize if it gets old, but I don't want to change it. I just want a good thing to keep on going and am afraid that if I change, it'll go away, ya know?
As you can tell, I've focused on FFVII since they made a movie and just because I love the pairings.I'm a hopeless romantic secretly at heart and love the coupling of Cloud and Tifa above all else. There's just so much you can do with them. I don't exaclty like Cloud and Aerith together and before any of you freak out at me, it's for this legitimate reason: Aerith is supposed to be with Zack...Zack is supposed to be with Aerith...Cloud and Aerith are just too confused in the beginning to see this...and that's the way it should be.
I don't exactly shy away from the darker side of the characters as well so when I say I like happy endings for the most part, I don't stay strictly with happiness. Happy and sad go hand in hand in my view and so there will always be heartache and pain somewhere in my stories...either as a focus or just in the background, but it'll most likely be there. Just thought it would be nice to warn you, is all.
I get inspired mostly from music because music is like the fuel of my life and so if I include song lyrics, I try to make it a point of what song and by who in the A/N; just to give you readers a feel of where I was coming from. I tend to have fun with author notes and so I suggest you take a look when they're present, since I like to explain/rant/apologize/ramble/give credit a lot in that little section. My disclaimers are also very...odd and usually worth a laugh, or so I've been told. Hope you enjoy, and even if you don't, reviews and constructive criticism always welcome, just warn me ahead of time and be gentle if I don't know you, please.
I tend to write most of my stuff at the early morning hours and usually after a lack of sleep and/or major caffination/sugar supply so that might explain some of it...I guess the rest is just regular me. Scary, I know, but it keeps my life interesting most of the time.I think I've rambled on long enough but if yer still asking "what else is there to this MakoRain person?" then drop me a note, I'll see what I can do.
Prefferred pairings/readings:
FFVII: Cloud and Tifa (obviously)
Zack and Aerith (no matter what I think of Aerith personally, I can't help writing these two together since Zack needs love)
Tifa and Zack (oddness I know but I love thinking of how this would have been if things had been different)
FMA: Roy and Riza (they are perfect for each other and they'd so be together if those stupid rules weren't in the way)
Ed and Winry (the growing up together angle is so cute ,even if this is a somewhat abusive relationship)
That's about it for now, I've been spreading from Anime/manga and games to some book series but these are my most dominant focuses when reading fanfics.
A special mention for a picture I found on photobucket.com that looks remarkably close to my 2006 Halloween fic "I put a spell on you." Take a look, it's really good and the drawing and story go so well together. If you know anything, please, let me know, I'd like to talk to the artist since I love this picture so much, it'd be awesome if my writings inspired artwork since I can't draw people that well.

SOLDIER: This is another story that became more than I thought it would and I am right now at a loss as to how to write the rest. I mean, I know what I want to happen, but I just can't seem to get the words out right. Chapter 16 was added 2/9/07. There will be around 23 chapters for this story and so again thank you for your patience.
-I have a new series called "My Soundtrack" which is basically songs that inspire me to write oneshots or just short stories in general for FFVII. It hasn't expanded to any other series and I don't think it will but hey, ya never know. If there are any readers who are interested or have a good song they'd like to offer for a writing piece, just let me know. If there's a story there, I can try and write it, and if not, I'll let you know why...please don't take it personally.
I could go on and on as to what I have in mind, but I don't want to say one thing and then do something else so I'll leave it at this and if other fics become posted, feel free to check those out as well and please, let me know what you think.
