ME
What can I say? Well, I'm a 23 year old Literature graduate and now journalistwho took an avid interest in books at an early age and has loved them ever since. For as long as I can remember, I have held onto the dream of being a writer (Quickly glossing over the short-lived notions of being an astronaut, princess or Formula 1 driver! heheh XD) There's little that can beat curling up in front of the fire with a hot chocolate and losing yourself in a favourite book - shame it's so hard to find time. I long for the day I can take time out to do just that and honestly say there's nothing else I should be doing ...
As for the sort of stuff I write ... whatever pops into my head really. I also write some fanfics which I can't post here as there isn't a category for them which is partly why I haven't been around much and I've been getting into writing original stuff too. I just love writing, period.
FAVES
Just some of my favourite things - a constantly changing list. What can I say? I'm fickle ... :p
Movies: The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Gladiator, Armageddon, anything by Hitchcock, Sixth Sense, A Knight's Tale, Phonebooth, Pirates Of The Caribbean and probably many, many more I'm overlooking.

Music: Green Day, James Blunt, 3 Doors Down, U2, Matchbox 20, Lifehouseand loads more.
Writers: William Shakespeare (that's the three years of English at uni showing, lol!), J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, Maggie Fury, Joss Whedon, Tony Jordan and too many more to name.
FAVE QUOTES
Just some of the best lines around …
From Angel:
Cordelia: Why didn’t you tell me you were half-demon. I thought we agreed secrets are bad.
Doyle: I wanted to tell you. I was afraid… I thought you might reject me.”
Cordelia: I rejected you way before now. So you’re half-demon, big whoop! I can't believe you'd think I'd even care about that! I mean, I work for a vampire! Hello!
Doyle: It’s true. I just—
Cordelia: What do you think I am superficial? I mean you are half demon that is so far down on the list. Way under “short” and “poor.” Is there anything else I should know?
Doyle: The half-demon thing—pretty much my big secret.
Cordelia: (disbelievingly) You were so… brave.
Doyle: You think you say that again without so much shock in your voice? You’re steppin’ on my moment of manliness here.
Cordelia: "I'm not a sniveling, whinny, little cry-Buffy. I'm the nastiest girl in Sunnydale history. I take crap from no one!"
Angel: Am I intimidating? I mean, do I put people off?
Cordelia: As vampires go, you're pretty cuddly.
Doyle (to Cordy): All I'm saying is if you and I ever hope to take that cruise to the Bahamas together, we're going to need a lot more clients of means.
Spike: What do you think all this means for that Shanshu bugaboo? If we make it through, does one of us get to be a real boy?
Angel: Who are you kidding? We're not gonna make it through.
Spike: Well, long as it's not you.
Doyle: You know, there's a lot of people in this city that need helping.
Angel: So I noticed.
Doyle: You game?
Angel: I'm game.
Gunn: You take the 30,000 on the left.
Illyria: You're fading. You'll last 10 minutes at best.
Gunn: Then let's make it memorable.
Spike: In terms of a plan?
Angel: We fight.
Spike: Bit more specific.
Angel: Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon. Let's get to work.
From Buffy:
Spike (about Buffy): I've been alive longer than you and dead longer than that. I've seen things you couldn't imagine. I've done things I prefered you didn't. I've never had a reputation for being a thinker. I follow my blood, which doesn't exactly rush in the direction of my brain. So I make a lot of mistakes, a lot of bloody calls. A hundred plus years and there's only one thing I've ever been sure of... you. I'm not asking you for anything when I say I love you. It's not because I want you, or can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you and I understand with perfect clarity what you are. You're a hell of a women. You're the one, Buffy.
Buffy (about Dawn): I'm counting on you to protect her.
Spike: 'Til the end of the world... even if that happens to be tonight.
Giles (about Spike’s chip): There’s some sort of illumination emanating from it. It's blinking.
Spike: I don't care if it's playing “Rockin' the Casbah” on the bloody Jew's harp, just get it out of me!
Giles: Anya, there's a bottle of Cognac in the cabinet next to the sink. Can you get it for me?
Spike: What? You're gonna get snockered now?
From Pirates Of The Caribbean
Elizabeth: That's it, then? That's the secret, grand adventure of the infamous Jack Sparrow. You spent three days lying on a beach drinking rum.
Jack Sparrow:Welcome to the Caribbean, luv.
From A Knight’s Tale:
Roland: Who are you?
Chaucer: Lilium inter spinas; the lily among the thorns. Geoffrey Chaucer's the name, writing's the game.
(Blank looks from the group)
Chaucer: Chaucer? Geoffrey Chaucer? The writer?
Wat: A what?
Chaucer: A wha- a what? A writer! You know, I write, with ink and parchment? For a penny I'll scribble you anything you want, from summonses, decrees, edicts, patents of nobility… I've even been known to jot down a poem or two, if the muse descends. Probably read my book? The Book of the Duchess?
(More blank looks)
Chaucer: Fine, well, it was allegorical.
Chaucer: Thank you! Thank you - I'll be here all week!
Chaucer: Oh my giddy aunt.
Chaucer: Uh, are you blind? Didn't you see the flag drop?
Will: Yes, I saw it, okay?
Wat: I know… you want to drop behind for a more dramatic victory!
Will: Look, Jocelyn told me I should lose to prove my love.
Chaucer: Oh, God - I'd rather you were blind.
UPDATE
Time for writing fictionis pretty scarce right now butit's still the bestform of escapism I know sojust stay tuned - updates will be sporadic but then what's new?
Anyways, massive thanks to everyone has reviewed my stuff so far - it really does mean a lot and all criticism, good and bad, is much appreciated. :)
THE FICS
Despite appearances to the contrary, I haven't abandoned anything but the fic taking most of my attention right now is my newest venture: a fanfic based on the tv series, Lost - I'm loving that show and I'm a massive fan of Charlie! And DriveSHAFT, of course. ;) I'd really, really appreciate any comments on that one 'cos I've put a hell of a lot of effort into it - I haven't even started any other Lost fics and don't intend to until I finish this one! It's called Getting Lost and it's a bit confusing to give a summary of since it kinda takes a similar format to the show and switches between life on the island and life in flashbacks. It focuses on Charlie and his relationship with Claire, but there's wider implications for the other characters since it hints that he knew something would happen to the plane and that he had already dreamt about the island - just go have a look-see, lol!
