Oh, where to start, where to start: 21, female, college senior at one of the United States' eight original Public Ivies where I'm studying speech disorders, rhetorical studies, and interpersonal/organizational communication. I'm originally from the UK--born in Wiltshire and lived in Hertfordshire until a month before my fourth birthday. UPDATE: I'm currently studying abroad in Scotland at the University of St. Andrews. Words can't begin to adequately describe how beautiful Scotland is. Truly amazing! I thank Jesus Christ for all of the wonderful opportunities He has blessed me with thus far and what He has promised to do in the future. 11-17-11: Playwright, Dr. O.M. seems to have taken a particular interest in my short, impromptu monologue. Said, quite pointedly, "You want to write." 01-08-12:As I return to Scotland this week, expect writing to be sporadic and the same to apply for updates. There is one final project in the works before I take a brief hiatus so as to dedicate myself to academics. I'm of English, Tuscarora and Ethiopian descent. Music is significant in my life--I've played the flute since fifth grade, the piano and piccolo since the ninth. My only sibling is a brother, two years my senior, attending graduate school in Romania and studying what can best be described as a combination of public policy, history, and ethics. Having done more than my fair share of theater acting, I'm now taking a hiatus from the stage to focus on writing. I've starred in adaptations of A Raisin In The Sun, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Lakota Woman: Siege at Wounded Knee, Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and As You Like It. I'm a published poet and have written a few short plays as well. Musically speaking, I'll entertain anything that piques my interest and is enchanting enough. My favorite artists include, but are not limited to: Allen Toussaint, Mavis Staples, Beyoncé', Maroon 5, J. Cole, and Michael Jackson (R.I.P. Gone Too Soon, But NEVER FORGOTTEN).
