Inuyasha, Gundam Wing, Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin, Air, Chrono Crusade and Gundam Seed have to be my all time favourite Anime. I'm a high school girl, and is in year 11. I love to read fantasy books which is rare as I hardly ever read so it has to be good. Drawing and painting is my passion, and hope to be able to write a good story. I found this site about a year ago and my friend and I are the only girls in my year that love anime and manga. I love AFL and my team is Geelong. GO THE CATS! Shinsei (She - nn - se - ii) Means Pure
Shinsei is an Inuyasha character and is used in 'What Was Lost'.
Shinsei had an Older brother; Junjouharen (see below Akuinneu) and Older sister Migaru (see next character). When they she was five, Migaru seven and Junjouharen ten, Migaru was kidnapped and was not seen for nine years. When she came back she was known as Meido (see next character). She killed Junjouharen in front of her. Meido also was going to kill her but due to Junjouharen's magic, she fled. Shinsei has hated Meido since. Shinsei then met Ametsuchi (see below Meido), who taught her all of the spells she knows. He also taught her how to fight with the Tentaikei Yari (Heavenly Light Spear).
Meido came back after Ametsuchi died to steal the Reiteu no Kaimei (Sacred Book of Darkness) to undo the magic Junjouharen did. Before she could get it, Shinsei sent it along with the Sword of Yume (Dreams) to a different time. Meido was so enraged she almost kills Shinsei. She however didn't and Shinsei still doesn't know why. She became the goddess of heaven and the keeper of the Reiteu no Kei (Sacred Book of Light) after this event happened.
She was good friends with Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's father, Inutaisho, before he died and become almost like a sister to Izayoi when she was pregnant. She met them when she was wounded by Meido and Izayoi healed her. When Inutaisho died, she swore to protect Izayoi and her unborn child. Inuyasha remembers her as the 'woman who played with the half-breed'. She was the one who gave Inuyasha the ball that you see him run for in flashbacks on the series. One day she didn't come back.
Shinsei was captured by a mountain ogre who had a grudge against her deceased master. She was able to escape by getting a hold on a Shikon jewel piece and kill the ogre. She then searched for Sesshomaru or Inuyasha. She found the Lord first. She was angered at Sesshomaru when he didn't respect his father’s wishes for the Tetsusaiga to go to Inuyasha. She also hated the fact that Sesshomaru attempted to kill him. Sesshomaru also told of what happened to Inuyasha and Kikyo, about how they were 'betrayed', about Izayoi's death, about Naraku and about the Inu-gang. She finds Inuyasha and Kagome when they are being attached by Meido. That is were What Was Lost introduces her.
Shinsei is a tall, beautiful woman. She has hip long light brown tied in a loose ponytail at the nape of her neck when she fights, healthy pale skin and had a body like an athlete. Her eyes are gold irises and pupils and the rest white. They always shine. Her clothes are like a warrior, but hold class. She wears a white halter top, a yellow skirt that reached to her ankles with slits going up on the side and stopped mid thigh. Pale orange three quarters skin tight pants are under the skirt. White flat ankle length boots, and yellow and gold cape that reaches the ground that is tied around her neck completes the look. She also has strapped to her back Tentaikei Yari, though it looks like it floats just above her back.
Meido (Meh- i - doh) Means Underworld--- Migaru (Mee- ga - roo) Means Light
Meido/Migaru is an Inuyasha character and is used in 'What Was Lost'.
Before she became Meido, Migaru was the Older sister of Shinsei and the Younger sister of Junjouharen. When she was seven she was kidnapped by Akuinneu (see below Ametsuchi). He then taught her the ways of the Underworld and became a dark witch. He also taught her how to use the Naiangu Muchi (Dead Dark Whip). That is when she ceased to be Migaru, but Meido. Akuinneu told her if she was to become goddess of the Underworld she had to kill Junjouharen. She did what she was told. She was able to wound him greatly and was about to kill him, till he sealed Akuinneu in stone. After that he died. Shinsei attacks Meido and was wounded and fled. Because she was able to kill her Older brother she became goddess of the Underworld.
Meido goes looking for the Reiteu no Kaimei to un-seal her master. She finds out that Ametsuchi has it and that he is dead. Meido had no idea that Shinsei now protects it. When she comes across Shinsei she is opening a portal to another time. Before Meido can do anything about, Shinsei throws the Reiteu no Kaimei and the Sword of Yume into the time portal. Meido becomes so enraged that she was very close of killing her. However, she doesn't kill her due to the fact that Migaru is fighting the evil that Meido is. Yep, Meido and Migaru are a split personality. Because of Migaru, she couldn't kill Shinsei and still can't.
For revenge she discovers that Shinsei has become friends with a pregnant woman. She also finds out that the woman is carrying a hanyou. She decides to kill her, for revenge. Meido however did not expect Inutaisho to be the father and mate. He fights her, and realizes that he can't win by strength so he seals her into scrolls. He hides her in a cave that will only allow Shinsei to enter when Inutaisho discovers who she is. Meido is sealed for years.
Naraku finds away to go thru the barrier and gets Meido's Scrolls, the name humans and youkai give them. He then unseals her by using the Reiteu no Kaimei he got from Kagome's time period. Meido is reborn. Later in the story she gives the Sword of Yume to Naraku to increase his power. However he doesn't have it for long as Kagome gets it because Souta was the next master in line to get it after Ametsuchi. She was able to use it due to her blood line with Souta.
Meido is a dark but pleasant looking woman. She has pure black gloss hair that stops at her hips, pale death looking skin and black irises and pupil. There rest of her eyes are pure white. There is no shine in her outline eyes. Her clothes are made for nobility, unlike Shinsei's. She wears a dark blue skirt that hits the bottom of the floor and clings to her like the fine silk it is. Her top is of the same colour that hugs her form like a second skin. The sleeves flare out on the elbows and reach to her wrist. It stops just above her navel. A cloak of silver and black, mixed together that also reach the floor with a collar that covers her neck and has shoulder pads that point at the end complete her look.
However when she was Migaru, she had hip long, strawberry blonde hair, tan skin and soft pink irises and pupils. Because you only see Migaru as a child, she wears a pale violet skirt that reaches her knees, a dark violet singlet top. Brown sandals and a different shaded cape tired at her shoulders finishes her child clothes. We don't see her in any other clothes when she is an adult, but her dark clothes.
Ametsuchi (A - meh- sue - chi) Means Heaven and Earth
Ametsuchi is an Inuyasha character and is used in 'What Was Lost'.
Ametsuchi is Japanese, but traveled to Europe when he was twenty-six. That is where he learnt the power of Heaven. He was taught by priests and monks of a Venice Church in Italy. That is why Shinsei spells are in Italian. After he was taught he become the holder of the Sword of Yume. It is one of the most powerful swords in the world. Ametsuchi returned to Japan and traveled the land helping the sick by healing them and fighting evil. That is why people started to call him the God of Heaven. He came across a fourteen year old Shinsei and decided that he would teach her the power.
Ametsuchi was asked to heal a child Sesshomaru and become partners with Inutaisho. They agreed to fight along side one another when needed. He asked Inutaisho to create a spear for Shinsei, who was now sixteen. The Lord agreed. Ametsuchi then taught Shinsei to fight with the Tentaikei Yari. He was entrusted the Reiteu no Kei by the monks at a temple. He was the only one in the land to be able to open the book and read the spells.
Before he went to battle, he told the monks that if he died, they would give the Yume and Reiteu no Kei to Shinsei when the time was best and when she looked twenty. Ametsuchi did die in battle against youkai that was going to kill his village he protected. His soul sometimes comes to Shinsei when she needs advise, even though he is going against the rules. Ametsuchi is greatly missed by Shinsei as she saw him as a father, and he saw her as a daughter.
Ametsuchi has curly short fire red hair, pale red colour eyes and pale looking skin. He also has freckles across the bridge of his nose and elf like ears. He wears a gold and red robe that reaches his ankles and is long sleeved. The sleeves droop a little around his wrists. The cuffs, collar and bottom of the robe are outlined in blood red. His shoes are brown boots and has a sparkle gold cape that is held by red clips on his shoulders. He looks around in his late twenties, though he over four hundred years old.
Akuinneu (A - kuu - nn -eh) Means Evil Destiny
Akuinneu is an Inuyasha character and is used in 'What Was Lost'.
Akuinneu also traveled to Europe. He, however, is half Japanese and half Swedish. That is why Meido can speak Swedish. He is the son of an evil witch. He was taught how to control his power. When he was older he needed to pass the information onto someone else. He kidnapped Migaru and corrupted her soul with evil, creating Meido. He made her Naiangu Muchi and taught her how to do everything. Akuinneu told Meido that to become goddess of the Underworld she had to kill Junjouharen, the only person who can beat him. He went with Meido to watch him suffer.
He was delighted that Meido was about to kill him till white and orange balls circled him and he become stone. The only way to awaken him is to use the Reiteu no Kaimei and the ingredients that are needed, including two pure sacrifices. He however is never awaken because Inuyasha destroys his statue.
Before he become stone he was an ugly person. He had greases black hair, light pale green colour looking skin and black hallow eyes. He wore nobility clothes. Dull black shirt, dull black pants and a shiny coat that was kept open. The coat touched the ground. The end of it was red and in the middle it faded into black, creating a fire type look. He wore no shoes.
Junjouharen (Joo - n - jo - ha - ren) Means Pure of Earth and Beautiful
Junjouharen is an Inuyasha character and is used in 'What Was Lost'.
Junjouharen is the Older brother of Migaru and Shinsei. By blood he is only an Older Half brother to them, but they never find out till later in the story. Junjouharen has an Italian mother, who was the step-sister to Akuinneu's mother. Junjouharen's mother is pure, not evil. He was born very powerful and couldn’t always control his power. When his mother died he went to live with his father, who had a two year old Migaru and a newly born Shinsei. When their parents left them he took care of them, telling them that he was there full blooded brother and never told anyone his heavenly power.
When Migaru was taken, he became very protective of Shinsei. When Migaru came back as Meido he knew he had to free her by fighting her. Junjouharen, however, didn't have the heart to kill her and decided the next best thing. When Meido was about to kill him he sealed Akuinneu in stone, a spell that his mother used to seal her step-sister; Akuinneu's mother. He gave his final strength into the spell and died because of it.
Junjouharen was a very good looking man. Shoulder length blonde hair, pale orange irises and pupils and a well toned tanned body. He wore an orange long sleeved shirt, black pants and white boots. He also had a dark and light orange cape that was tied around his neck. He also carried a sword that was unnamed.
