Author has written 16 stories for Kingdom Hearts. Wow, it's been a while! Eh, let's see, lemme pull up one of those little personality profile deals for those of ya who don't know me. Nickname: Dual Currently: College Student, part time barista Gender: Female...the jury's still out on whether or not that's a good thing. Favorites: Anime? Most everything from Naruto to Death Note to Ouran, and way too many more to count. Manga...Saiyuki's amazing, Hana Kimi is wonderful, and Reverse is the most interesting, anti-stereotypical get-together piece I've ever had the pleasure of reading. And Video Games...Kingdom Hearts, of course, which the majority of my fiction focuses on. I also love the Final Fantasy series, Zelda, and .hack//G.U., which I swear I'll one day drabble something on. And Reborn!. Always Reborn!. Fanfiction: A Long, Hard Road, by Twig. This fic isn't available on ffnet, and for good reason: it's descriptive and absolutely unashamed of itself. And it has no reason to be; it is, without a doubt, the most beautiful, perfect piece I've ever read. I have plenty of favorites on ffnet, but this his one... it's just wonderful, beautiful, inside and out. A warning, however: Don't read this story if you don't have an entire day on your hands, if you're in any way opposed to Sephiroth/Cloud, or if you want smut in the very first chapter. This is a work of epic proportions, and it took me many, many hours to complete. Let me just say this, though: I read this fic back in April of senior year, in the middle of studying for AP's and finals. I didn't care: I began it around 8PM on a Tuesday, and didn't stop unti 2 AM Thursday morning. I skipped school to finish, because I couldn't leave the story behind; it had ensnared me in a way that no other had ever been able to do, and in a way that no other has done at that time. It just tears at your heart in a thousand different ways. If I ever become half the writer that Twig is, I'll be more than happy with myself. My OTP: Zexion/Demyx. Why? Who the hell knows? Neither of them are my favorite characters - that spot is taken by Sora. And there's absolutely no canon evidence that could so much as hint them as a pairing. But...ack. I can't articulate it, and the closest I've ever been able to come is this: A Dissertation on Zemyx. I fell in love with this pairing maybe a month after KH2 was released, after stumbling across Real by Oblivion Sky. I was one of the first Zemyx shippers, and I will always maintain that I'm the most faithful. So yeah, I love Riku/Sora. I adore AkuRoku, Marluxia/Larxene, and countless others. But Zemyx is my OTP, and it'll probably stay that way for a while. Pairings: ...way too many to account. Current OTPs are Zemyx and GokuTsuna of KHR fame, but I'm a fan of way too many ships, both slash and het, to list them all. Dual's Rant of the Year: My philosophy on romance is this: all cynicism aside, I believe in what I tentatively call "One True Love." /Cringes/ Which is why, for the most part, I choose one pairing and I stick with it. I've got exceptions of course: I like Enishi/Misao just as much as Aoshi/Misao, for example, and Cloud/Leon almost as much as Cloud/Seph. Why? Because all are wonderfully complex characters whose interactions would be a sight to behold. However, when I choose a pairing, I typically refuse to let it go. I REFUSE to read Riku/anyone but Sora. I REFUSE to read Axel/anyone but Roxas. Because I believe in One True Love, and I stick with it. So there ya go.
