Important
So, yes. I have been taking a lot of time off recently. But, uh, this isn't a job. It's a hobby...well, an obsession, admittedly, something that I've been addicted to for the past few years. And while I love writing dearly, I've seen what happens to people who write all the way through their study period, mock exams, second study period and then their actual exams.
Because that's what I did last year. I think I was writing Reset, The Stage and For Truth. A lot of oneshots. As a result, I nearly failed my Math exams and didn't do anywhere near as well as I should have done on English.
So this year, I'm going to give this studying thing a shot, which means no more writing during class time (which is generally how I manage to get so many updates done), and instead of writing every day after school, actually doing my homework.
There will still be sporadic updates, of course, and I've still got one set of holidays before my end of year exams that I'm not crazy enough to study through. Probably the most worked on fic will be Ozymandias, as it's a collab and bellzooks can take over when I can't work on it.
Anyway, according to the poll so far, you guys are being great with the idea of me not being here for a few months, although understandably a little pissed off. But there's not much I can do about needing to get into Yr 13, unfortunately. And as soon as my end of year exams are over, I have a whole eight weeks off over Christmas, so updtes will not only resume as normal, they'll increase! Hopefully.
Profile
Hi! I'm Feilyn!
I'm sixteen and terrified of it, female and less terrified of it, and live in New Zealand. Which is not scary at all, and in fact rather boring.
I've faced two birthdays on this site, so I guess I've been knocking around for about two years now. It's fairly safe to conclude that anything written before I turned fifteen should be burned, yet I can't bring myself to get rid of it. So, tread carefully around anything written in '06, yeah?
I'm a snarky, socially phobic teenager who likes to pretend I'm smarter than I am. I have a deep passion for reading, writing, dancing and classical mythology and could quite happily babble on at you for hours about all four. I'm a gamer geek, and when it comes to fics I'm a sucker for a happy ending. Yes, those two points are unrelated and no, I don't know what they're doing together.
For the obligatory 'dislike' column, I'd say people who withhold chapters to get reviews, scary fangirls and people who don't write in full words. That last is a strictly practical thing - I'm actually incapable of reading even basic text speak.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand this is pretty much the only warning you'll find hanging about from me - I support love. I've written het, gen, shounen and shoujo ai as well as threesomes. Threesome, incidentally, is not synonymous with porn.
All right! Before I get on to the fic info, which is probably infinitely more interesting than this babble about me, I should probably inform you that I have acquired a typo fixer. My regular readers all know how chronic I am with the typo thing, so I am paying the wonderfully amazing cricketchick1990 in an epic Ichi/Ruki fic to go through all of my fics and fix the errors. I fix her typos, she fixes mine. Only difference is, I'm bribing her for mine, because there are so damn many. Fics, that is, not typos. I hope.
Feel free to add me on AIM, my screenname is xfeilynx because feilyn was already taken.

Ozymandias
The Naruto/Bleach crossover that I am currently working on with Bellzooks.
It's up!
I know. It's quite possibly the worst possible mix we could have come up with. A crossover. With two fandoms notorious for really, really bad crossovers. And on top of that, a collab.
What this space is dedicated to, quite simply, is begging. Please give us a chance!
The title comes from the poem 'Ozymandias', written by Percy Bysshe Shelley
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shatter'd visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamp'd on these lifeless things,
The hand that mock'd them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains: round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away
Wikipedia says it best - 'Without directly stating it, Shelley shows that all works of humankind - including power structures and governments - eventually must pass into history, no matter how permanent they may seem at the apex of their influence.'
This theme of Ozymandias carries through to the power struggles in both Bleach and Naruto, so we thought it was rather apt to use it as a title. Finding a title actually did give us huge problems, because Naruto and Bleach are so epic. Blaruto or Neach doesn't quite have the same ring.
All right. So. Ozymandias is indeed set in the Bleach world, because the Naruto abilities merge there better than zanpakuto would slide into Naruto. However, the characters have not simultaneously died and gone to Soul Society, and we're not only using Naruto and a few select other characters. We are writing this story as if Bleach and Naruto are one, in the Bleach world. We have merged the plots of these two epic stories into one, which means a few things have had to be left out for plot and character's sake, and new things have come about. It's not a simple rehashing of the two stories. Me and Bellzooks really have put a huge amount of effort into this to make sure it comes off as a plausible, well-rounded fic like any other she and I have written.
Philyra and her beta poptate have very kindly stepped forward and offered to design zanpakuto for all of the Naruto characters appearing in Ozymandias, which makes them epic and awesome and downright amazing.
Currently Bellzooks and I have posted the Prologue of Ozymandias and are desperate to see how it goes down.
Anyway, the story is posted on my account in the Bleach fandom because it's set in the Bleach world. If you have any questions, just PM me or Bellzooks.
The Lost And Found series (Bleach fandom)
There are technically three parts to the series. The chapter fics, which represent the core of the Lost And Found theme, the one-shots, which either do that or simply tell a story about the established pairings that has nothing to do with being lost or found, and The Stage: Byakuya Style by Namimakura. As the title infers, it's my story The Stage written from Byakuya's point of view. It's incredibly awesome, and if you enjoyed TS, you're sure to love TSBS as well.
The series was born from an intended HitsuKarin one-shot that turned into a chapter fic (the original Lost And Found), which turned into the series as it’s known today. I have no idea how it happened, but somehow between last September and now, this thing became epic.
So, a bit of background knowledge. Each fic in the series is not self-contained, which is why it’s hard to establish a reading order. They intersect and even when one fic finishes, you’ll find the story of the central pairing continues in another as a side pairing. Each chapter fic is a romance, generally romance/drama, but as one reviewer put it, the main characters are not isolated from the rest of the world. Nor is it a happy road for…actually, for any of them. Although I specialize in happy endings, the series is called Lost And Found for a reason and whether it be lost love, lost life or lost limbs, everyone has lost something.
The majority of the series is set after the Winter War, which lasted about a year and the shinigami won. Ichigo killed Aizen, Orihime destroyed the Hōgyoku and several main characters died – Renji, Gin (and Tousen, etc.), Zaraki, Yachiru and various others, but those are the important ones.
Okay, so here is the suggested reading order!
Coming To Terms – chapter fic, Ishihime (loss of innocence)
Foreshadow – oneshot, HitsuKarin
Lost And Found – chapter fic, HitsuKarin (loss of lives)
The Stage – chapter fic, Rangiku/Byakuya (loss of lives, loss of love)
The Ring Hunt - oneshot, Ichi/Ruki (lost ring)
The Joys Of Youth – oneshot, Rangiku/Byakuya
Truth Or Dare – chapter fic, Momo/Shuuhei (loss of lives, loss of love, loss of sanity)
Musings – oneshot, Rangiku/Byakuya
Upcoming in the series (in no particular order)
Ichigo/Rukia
Kiyone/Ukitake
Isane/Ikkaku
Chiaki/Yamamoto
Tatsuki/Chad
Yuzu/Hanatorō
And a second-generation fic with Yuki, Maiko, the IchiRuki kid and Masaki’s orphans. As well as the recently added Ryuu and Sora, along with the Tatsuki/Chad child.
