WELCOME TO THE PROFILE OF DIGIARI!

(I used to be Ari Elisianete.)

I MADE MY ICON, SO DO NOT STEAL IT!

!UPDATE!

I have completely revamped and rewritten my profile. Enjoy the new, more organized white space!

FANFICTION IS BEING WEIRD.

Forgive me for the screwyness of my profile. D:

ABOUT ME

You remember the girl that sat at the back of your class (or, very unwillingly, the front) who was always staring off into space, probably thinking about something completely different from Earth? That was me.

I usually don't talk to people unless they approach me first, sometimes not even on the Internet. I'm not shy, I just never talked to people when I was little, so I guess I never learned how. I'm getting better, though. x3 YES, I use smileys. I am very well aware that writers really shouldn't use them, but they have their charms, and I don't overuse them.

I'm fourteen and very skeptical. I understand that America is not the only country in the world, and that there are other cultures that do not gorge themselves on ignorant politics and hamburgers. I also feel sorry for the state that the world's gotten itself into.

I appreciate fanfics that are well written, with a good plot or development and...spell check. I can't stand plots that use sexual scenes just to move the story along, or to describe a scene that the author has simply been dying to fangirlishly write--even if it means putting a character out of their personality. However, I admire fanfic authors who show restraint and have these scenes only when it is necessary to the plot or character development.

!UPDATE!- July 9, 2008

I now have a LJ account! It is listed as my website, and here is the link otherwise. If you have an LJ, feel free to contact me there. But please mention that you've heard of me from fanfiction, because otherwise I'll think you're some random person (and I won't respond). D:

!UPDATE!- March 13, 2008

Browsing on another site recently, I found a thread discussing pairings in FFX. I posted my pairing beliefs, which included Aurikku. Apparently this particular pairing was being discussed at that moment--very angrily. People were insulting and belittling them, and as soon as I'd posted I knew I'd made a mistake.

I refreshed to immediately find that people were telling me about how I was a sick piece of shit who deserved to die a slow death and rot in Hell, along with more statements that I probably shouldn't mention.

I couldn't believe it. Are people on the world wide web so cruel? I have my beliefs and they have theirs, and while I was accepting that one or two of them thought that Auron/Seymour was cute, they were insulting me like I was an animal who had invaded their religious faith with blasphemy. (I guess this is how religious wars are started?)

Come on, people. I have my reasons for believing in the pair, and besides, these two people--Auron and Rikku--that I was getting death wishes over...they're fictional. Ones and zeros. What was programmed to happen in that game, or what was drawn in your favorite anime or manga--what happened there is absolute. The story never changes. We fanfictioners just fantasize about what we wished could have been.

And I wish more people understood that.

FAVORITE PAIRINGS

First off, let's get something straight: my opinions are mine, and your opinions are yours. Neither of us have the right to flame each other about our beliefs like animals with torches--debate intelligently, maybe, but flame and fight? What's the point? These are fictional people in a fictional world, and all we can do is fantasize. (I wish more people understood that.)

FFX

Tidus/Yuna- They're so cute together. Plus, the pairing actually HAPPENS, though that's a bit of a win/lose situation. Since it happens, it leaves little room for imagination in fanfictions.

Wakka/Lulu- Again, it happens. And I think that they actually go good together. Their kid is so cute!

Auron/Rikku- Holy crap. I love this pairing, especially because it doesn't happen. Now, before your eyebrows reach your hairline and your eyes explode, let me defend myself. Personally, I say screw all age gaps. I have no trouble ignoring the gap here, especially because there's a bit of an age gap between my parents. Plus, Rikku's a smart girl. Hyper, but smart. If she was about as brainless as the average girl my age, then I would NEVER approve of this pairing. Also, (And I thank anyone and everyone who helped make FFX for this) Auron is not a pervert. If he was, then I don't think I could let that slide either. And come on, people. They friggen COMPLETE each other! The one full of life, and the one with no life at all (haha). The hyper one whose head is in the sky, and the quiet, down to earth one who's seen it all before.

Oh, and I hate the Rikku/Gippal pairing. It's too...typical. D:

HELLSING

Hmm...I'm not sure about this one. I've always believed in Alucard/Seras, but upon completion of the chapter where Pip/Seras becomes cannon, I started to swing to Alucard/Integra; HOWEVER, I do not support Pip/Seras, even if it is cannon.

As for Alucard/Seras or any of my other various beliefs, only time will tell.
