Author has written 19 stories for Andromeda, Earth 2, Firefly, StarTrek: Voyager, Casablanca, Cutting Edge, Early Edition, StarTrek: Deep Space Nine, and Battlestar Galactica: 2003. According to my parents, I started playing with sentences and words as soon as I learned how to read. I've been writing since elementary school -- journals, poems, stories, you name it. I write for myself, not because I want to but because I have to. When others enjoy reading what I write, it's just icing on the cake. I wrote Voyager fan fiction (mostly J/C) from 1999 to 2002, but after the series ended I lost interest in writing fan fiction, although I continued to read it. After a while I figured that I probably was not going to write fan fiction any longer, and began to view it as a pleasant thing I'd done for a while before moving on. I was wrong. I started writing fan fiction again in late 2007/early 2008. At first, it was Firefly, which I still enjoy and don't intend to stop writing. But then, almost by accident, I rediscovered Earth 2, which I'd seen and absolutely loved during its initial run. I'm writing both right now, with a much heavier emphasis on Earth 2. There was just so much that happened there, and so much more that could have. I'm a D/D fan but my favorite episodes are the ensemble ones set during Winter Camp, and it shows. In addition to Firefly and Earth 2, I've been going back through my Voyager stories. Some of them make me cringe and will no longer appear anywhere outside my hard drive. But some of them are worth another look; I'm working on editing and reposting them. In real life, I'm a thirtysomething, crazy cat woman in training. Those are my two "little girls" in my profile picture. I live and work in the Atlanta metro area, but I'm originally from North Carolina. Yes, I have an accent. No, I'm not a redneck, but I will firmly correct anyone who even suggests that barbecue could be red. During the day, I live in a cubicle. At night and on the weekends, I live in worlds of my own making. When I'm not writing or playing on the Internet, I enjoy many different activities such as reading, volunteer work, travel, hiking, cross-stitch, photography and music. So I stay busy. Life's more fun that way. You can find out more about what I'm up to by checking out my LiveJournal. I'm always looking for new online friends, so feel free to drop a line if you're so inclined! | |||||||||||
