Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter. Hullo everyone. By the fact that you're reading my profile, I assume that you know my penname is Shikatanai. I usually go by Shika around here, as it is somewhat shorter and simpler to type. I am 22 years old and double majoring in English Literature and Humanities in Teaching, with minors in History and Religious Studies. A little bit about me... I love to read, write, and draw. Other favorite activities include talking to myself on crowded buses, devouring souls, and venturing into public dressed in outlandish costumes. An interesting question that a lot of people ask me after reading "Gabriel" is what ethnicity I am. Now, I find this quite flattering, as I've had people of Indian background asking if I shared their culture, which I interpret as me doing a good job. Actually, I'm homegrown American. My grandfather is from Algeria, and a lot of the French influence in my story is from him, but other than that everything has been researched. I have a deep fascination with other cultures and I do try and keep everything as true-to-life as I can. For those of you who would like to talk to me, I welcome emails. I have not forgotten about them, by any means. Plots still dance in my head. However, as some might recall from author notes, several years ago I was diagnosed with carpal/cubital/radial tunnel syndrome(s). This makes typing difficult and extremely painful. While I still intend to continue work on my stories, my priority is finishing school without needing to amputate my hands.
