Author has written 28 stories for Greek Mythology, Beauty and the Beast, Vampires, Gone with the Wind, Anastasia, Harry Potter, Bones, and Batman the Animated Series. (CURRENT STATUS: So many assignments. So much reading. So many essays. And an exam. I am still finding time for writing and working on "Wolf Wolf" and "The Battle With the Heart Isn't Easily Won." I'm most likely not going to update until March. I'm currently working on the next chapter of "Don't Judge a Goddess by Her Cover" and "Jacquette's Story". I have plotted out a new Hades-Persephone fic. I'm also experimenting with a possible Artemis-Hermes oneshot and an Eros-Psyche fic and a Snow White fic and a Northanger Abbey fic. Keep reading and reviewing to get your favorites to the top of my schedule!) Current Obsessions: Being Erica, lipstick, Do You Want To Know a Secret by The Beatles Hobbies: I sing. First Soprano! A lot...musical theater, pop, opera, jazz, French love songs, ballads, Disney classics...English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Latin... I draw and paint. I sketch clothing designs. I'm fairly good at sketching faces, things I copy from magazines. My work with flowers is magnificent. I mostly sketch or play around with watercolors. I love old movies, fashion, and museums. I've read a lot over the years. Now I mainly make time for romance novels which are fast-paced and engrossing and perfect for my hectic schedule. I go through as many of them as I can when I'm not writing essays and leafing through Biology textbooks. I have a ton of books lying around that I want to start once I have some reasonable downtime from the hectic insanity that is college. Anyway, the point is I love reading so feel free to ask me to review or beta for you if you like my work. About Me as a Writer: I've decided to replace my music recommendation section, at least for the time being, because I get a lot of reviews that have led me to the conclusion that I would be better served if I cleared a few things up. I won't say that everything I've written is brilliant. However, I love what I do. I love writing and I love being able to give you these stories with a little piece of myself in them and I hope you enjoy what I've written. No one (other than my beta) is forced to read what I've written, so if you don't like it and especially if you don't agree with a fundamental part of my story please don't feel the need to continue reading. I'm a big believer in positive energy and not only do I thrive on your encouraging critiques, I take your constructive criticism to heart and utilize it to make the story better. Negative energy is not welcome, though. There is no place among my readership for people who only want to break others down. I tend to write mostly romance, because in my heart I am a believer in true love. A lot of my stories are M rated because intimacy is a part of that but it isn't everything. I'd like to think that there's a healthy dose of class and style and a nice balance of romance and realism in those scenes. I despise vulgarity. I strive to write realistic characters. Because of this, you'll join the story in the middle so I can work with an already established couple, or right at the beginning of when their feelings start to develop. I think that the depth of emotion that my characters are looking for is only going to be reached after some time (or at least a few good chapters) has passed so even if it's listed as a romance, don't take that to mean the characters are already in love with each other. I don't think that a male character has to be completely emasculated to be caring, or sweet, or a good guy. We fall for them because of their masculinity. They can charm us without losing their essence. I've been a bit guilty of this in the past and I'm working to rectify this. You'll start seeing stronger male characters from me (I hope) who are masculine without giving into abrasive, offputting, alpha male behavior. I'm not actually one of those hold-the-story hostage kind of writers. I realize it's hard to infuse sarcasm into written words but if you read enough of my author notes and stories I think my irreverence and dry sense of humor will eventually come across. I don't sit here with a stack of finished chapters waiting for reviews before I post them. Your reviews tell me which stories you like best and so those are the ones I concentrate my energy on first when I get the chance to write something (which is sadly not often). Most of all, I want you to know that I've committed to doing my best to bring you good work. I've stumbled in the past but I think I've finally come into my own and I know what it is that I want to say. I'd be thrilled if you would put your trust in me and continue reading as long as I continue writing. UPDATES: Updates usually come around holidays or on the weekends depending on how I'm feeling or whether I'm inspired. This doesn't mean I won't occasionally procrastinate and write a new chapter at some random point during the week. It just isn't as likely that something will be posted then instead of on weekends/holidays. FEBRUARY 28, 2009: Highest # of hits per day and per story in my entire time on fanfiction. 2420 for Just a Dance and 2770 for the day. APRIL 29, 2009: This month has the highest number of hits and visitors for all the months since I started writing. JANUARY 17, 2011: On the author alert list of 71 members. JUNE 1, 2011: On the favorite author list of 90 members. AUGUST 13, 2011: I have archived over 145,000 words. I've just learned all the line breaks have disappeared from my stories! I don't want to mess up my stats, so just be aware that I did have line breaks and I'm hoping the problem will resolve itself. I will continue to add line breaks in future stories. Hope this doesn't inconvenience you. READER THOUGHTS: Spot where I can keep track of what I've been asked to write... a Theseus/Ariadne/Dionysus fic...an Eros-Psyche fic...another Hades-Persephone fic...Cinderella Wedding Night fic...Anastasia Wedding Night fic...full Hades-Hera fic RECENTLY UPDATED... The Battle With the Heart Isn't Easily Won (UPDATED JANUARY 27, 2012) SCHEDULE: Updates will probably (though they will not necessarily) come in this order. Things in parentheses are mostly for me. I may start leaving you messages here though, but anything plot-based is subject to change.
