Why, Hello there. I'm Alexa!
I'm fifteen going on thirty-five
I love bubble baths
I'm a socail butterfly with a a passion for Johnny Depp
I like the sun and reading books by the ocean
I'm opinionated
I love Star Wars and Boy-ish things
I really like talking

I'm a one-of-a-kind southern belle :D
I discovered fanfiction in, oh, sixth grade; the first fic I read was a Harry/Ginny romance. I've always been a writer, and when I found a place where I could play with my favorite characters and fit their destanies to my liking--well, I dove right in!
My forte is angst/romance, often-times rather dark. You could say i like to make people work for their happy ending.
I'm a perfectionist, though I overlook the occasional/spelling mishap because the perfectionism is geared primarily towards the quality. Hardly ever am I completely satisfied with a story. I never look at a fic and say 'wow, that's infallible'.
My writng styles range. I can characterize a person one way in one story, and switch it up in the next, it just depends on what befits my mood. Thing is, I always try to keep a character within his/her 'range'-meaning I hate major OoC. I can handle it in small doses. I LOVE angst. It's the best to write, the best to read, and so much better than--as I've stated in many reviews--fairy-tale-happy-ending-disney-channel-crap. Or something along those lines. It's not that I don't like Disney (or happy endings) It's just that I'm a realist-and the world doesn't work like that. After all, once in a while, the Princess is going to run off with the Thief.
Flames: I don't actually dislike being flamed because it "hurts feelings", Its more because flames are crude and the mark of an immature person who cannot calmly voice their dislike about a story. Should someone critique my story in an honest, composed way-- even if they don't like it -- I WILL respect that. Violent, flaming rants do not earn my respect, and I consider reading them a waste of time.

My 'Ships
I'm SPARRABETH through and through, always was and always will be. Oh, yes, I've heard all the Willabeth arguments out there. Well, darlings, the facts don't change. And the Sparrow and the Swann were born for each other.
When I occasionally dabble in other categories, my 'ships can sometimes vary, though I'll commonly go with Jean/Logan (xmen), Harry/Ginny, James/Lily (Harry Potter).
Ships I Read:
Mr. Darcy/Elizabeth (Pride&Prejudice)
Chloe/Clark, Lois/Clark (Smallville)
Leia/Han, Padme/Anakin (Star Wars)
Draco/Hermione (Harry Potter--hey, I'll read anything Harry Potter, and I avidly support R/Hr, but I'm an angst lover...and i just can't get enuffa that Draco :)
My Stories
See below for published works!
--Note: 'Goodbye', a short ficlet written for "Bourne Supremacy" is NOT my proudest moment, but I leave it up for the people who love it. 'Choices' and 'Consequences', my "X-men" fics, are my amatuer stories (so to speak). ;)
Works-in-progress:
"Fairytale Gone Bad": I want it to be a longer story, but we all know how hard it is to keep stuff alive sometimes. I don't want it to be something with a big adventure plot, becasue its set for more a psycological character study, so we'll see.
"Paradise Lost": Well, its a fic I started to publish on here, oh, a year ago that had to be taken down. I want to re-vamp it and get it fully formed. Hopefull I can start soon. Will be James/Lily angst. Definite go ahead now, go check it out!
"Longing": Throwing it around in my mind...Rosalie/Emmet twilight story; Rosalie's reflections on Renesmee (ugh). I have decided I WILL write this. ahem It is simply a work in triple progress...meaning it will happen in possibly years. :)
Oh, and a few things to remember:
A winner is only a loser who got up and tried again.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
