As a resident of Minnesota I would like to express my deepest remorse for the people involved in the I-35 bridge collapse, and for the families and friends of the victims of this terrible tragedy. Please know that there are people across the nation praying for you, including me. On the night of the disaster I watched more news than I have before in my entire life, and I am still in shock. I cannot imagine what the experience must have been like, but I commend those who made it through the wreckage to assist in any way they could, and those off site who helped however possible. Thank you.
Just so you know, a while ago I changed my pen name from Dr. Allison Cameron to Dr. Temperance Brennan.

Name: Rebecca

If you think those kids should just give the Rabbit his darn cereal put this in your profile!
If you have ever pushed on a door that said pull copy this into your profile!
These are two out of a list of seven funny things courtesy of xXxPrincess of DreamsxXx.
I found this fantastic list on the profile of 9ud9ir190ne6ad;
You know you live in 2007 when...
1.) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave.
2.) You haven't played solitaire with real cards for years.
3.) The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is they don't have a screenname or myspace.
4.) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the buttons on the TV.
6.) Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job.
7.) As you read this list you keep nodding and smiling.
8.) As you read this list you think about sending it to all your friends.
9.) And you were too busy to notice number 5.
10.) You scrolled back up to see if there was a number 5.
11.) Now you are laughing at yourself stupidly.
Put this in your profile if you fell for that, and you know you did! I certainly did!
(Fanfiction) Writer’s Questionnaire
Estimated number of stories written: 14, 11 are posted.
Longest story was (how long): Bosses, Babies, and Brutal Honesty. 14 chapters, 16,091 words; on hiatus.
Shortest story was (how long): Maybe That’s Why People Married. Drabble, 370 words.
Preferred genre: Romance.
Weird habits when you’re writing: Resting my feet on the sharp metal edge of my desk.
Word processor or notebook? Word processor.
Open/Private about writing? Open.
Published? Only on fanfiction.net.
Favorite fandom: Can’t choose just one, even tie between House M.D., Bones, and CSI.
Favorite story: Mine- top three; A Future in the Past, Not Done Falling, Life Is Unpredictable. Other writer- I seriously have to choose? This one’s going to require my top five; Nothing to Fear, Second Chances, Mommy Issues, Saints and Saviors, and Beneath the Surface.
Favorite line: Whoa…that’s super difficult. I’ll give two from mine, and one from somebody else’s. Mine- “For now, Temperance Brennan was happy to simply have the love of her life, the father of her child, laying next to her on a hospital bed, promising her a future- a happy one, with him.” and “He hated it and loved it at the same time, the way she could make him feel was different from anybody else, and she made it look effortless.” Other writer (this is a bit more than one line, but it’s fantastic) - “Fear can do amazing things to people. In the midst of a crisis, fear can produce a surge of adrenaline that allows the ordinary human body to perform superhuman feats of strength and daring. Fear can also cause a person to freeze, unable to move either forward or backward. In Dr. Gregory House's case, fear of loss and betrayal had caused him to close himself off from anyone who might threaten to breach his carefully built walls.”
Writing music? Usually don’t listen to anything; screws with my concentration.
Hardest to write: Angst.
Easiest to write: Romantic relationships/dialogue.
Pet peeves in others’ writing: Bad spelling and/or grammar.
Prefer 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person? 3rd, in fanfiction, but 1st for novels and such.
Ever created a Mary Sue? laughs at self Yes, but that fic is no longer posted.
Which is hardest to write—beginning, middle or end? Middle, because I always know how I want my fics to start, and how I want them to end, but I have trouble getting from point A to point B.
Best thing about writing/being a writer: Other people telling you that reading your work made them happy.
Worst thing about writing/being a writer: Time restraints when attempting to complete fics.
Writing—hobby or addiction? Hobby.
Longest case of writer’s block: Oh, geez. I’ve been stuck on this one story for more than a year…but I don’t go more than a couple of weeks without getting a new idea, even though I don’t always write them down.
In my opinion, any decent fanfiction writer should be able to easily answer all of those questions. How can you present your work to others if you yourself don't know what you were thinking when you wrote it? How can you expect readers to understand your writing, if you don't understand it? Personally, I think my answers were honest, and well thought out. Thanks to L'ange de Vie, who's profile I used to copy the questions.
My favorite TV shows include but are not limited to;
House, M.D. (check out www.wounded-hearts.net if you're a House/Cameron shipper- which I am! Also, please sign this petition encouraging the writers for House, M.D. to bring back the love interest between House and Cameron- www.petitiononline.com/07072007/petition.html), Bones (a popular website for Booth/Bones shippers like me is www.beyound-bickering.net), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Grissom/Sara is my ship of choice- I'm sure all of those shippers know about www.grissomsararomance.net. I'm so happy that Sara survived!! Sadly, she left the show shortly anyway...too bad the spoilers weren't wrong. I no longer watch CSI, but will leave it on here due to the fact that I used to love it.), Who's Line Is It Anyway, The Nanny, Golden Girls, Will & Grace, and most of the shows from Fox's Sunday night line-up.
My favorite books are;
A Great And Terrible Beauty , Rebel Angels , The Sweet Far Thing, The 1-800-Where-R-You Series, the Mediator Series, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, and The Other Boleyn Girl, I also love Kathy Reichs's books (due to my love of the TV show Bones)
I love so many movies I couldn't possibly be asked to pick favorites, but I do like Dramas, Comedies and Romances, or any combination of the three! My music taste is all over the place, though I prefer soft rock or pop rock. My favorite artists and songs change from week to week!
Lucky for me I have an I-pod (a blue video nano) so I can listen to all of my favorite songs from one tiny, portible device.
www.quizilla.com - A cute site for quizzes! There are Bones quizzes on there, apparently, I'm most like Zach Addy...that can't be good (which we've recently found out isn't, in fact, good). For CSI, I'm most like Catherine or Sara, though I'm not nearly as beautiful as either of them. For House, M.D., I'm most like Cameron (I hope they're talking about season 1 Cameron, not season 3 or 4!) or Wilson.
I have both seasons of Bones on DVD, three seasons of House (I don't believe the fourth is worth buying), and seven seasons of CSI (didn't watch season eight, didn't see the point).
I hope to eventually get some Bones quotes on here- but I don't have much free time to find a ton of good ones! I used to have House quotes before I got mad at the writers for ruining the show and deleted them all. I do, however have a quote related to House from one of my friends. This came about when we were playing Apples to Apples. I read a card saying, "Arrogant- egotistical, overconfident, conceited" and she said, "We all know who that is." (She's obviously familiar with the show)
Thank you to everybody who read my first fic ever, "California Dreamin'" Though my other fics were not as popular I have decided to delete it. The spacing is wrong, and for a lot of the chapters I forgot a disclaimer and had to put in a junk chapter apologizing. I've met a lot of wonderful people through the story however, and I hope I'm not upsetting anybody by getting rid of it. If I re-space it and come up with a good idea for how to continue it I will re-post. Thank you once again. I also deleted my 2nd and 3rd fics- A 13 Year Old Secret and The Reason, because even though I finished them, I turned into a House/Cameron shipper while writing them, so it isn't really appropriate for me to have them up now, seeing as how they were Cameron/OC. They weren't that popular anyway. I've been extremely disappointed with House this season, and I can only hope it will improve soon. Though I will not be removing everything having to do with House that I am involved in on this website, please don't expect anything new from me for that fandom. Now here's some more information about me;
I'm on the computer a lot; I enjoy writing and reading fanfics, playing games like Sims, The Game of Life and free downloadable ones. If I'm not on the computer I love to swim, go to movies, and hang out with friends -when they're not busy! My friends are hard to get in touch with, so I don't get to see them very often outside of school. I don't play sports and I'm kind of a nerd, so the computer is always a great friend to me!
You can probably picture me by now and you're thinking- 'Why am I bothering with this girl anyways, she IS a nerd!' but please don't ignore me or my works. I'm smart- (A honor roll, student of the month- all that jazz!) , nice , and a really good friend!
I live in a suburb with both of my parents who have been married for about 18 years . I'm an only child, but I have a Shih Tzu- it's a kind of dog for those of you who don't know.
I'd love to be a pediatrician when I get older and I aspire to go to this early collage in Massachusetts- you can actually begin collage at 16- without a high school degree. I hope to get into a good medical school- I know I won't go to Johns Hopkins or Harvard Medical- but it doesn't hurt to dream!
Well, I hope I haven't sounded too braggy or down on myself- I can do that sometimes! That's all I can think of to say, so thanks again for stopping by and check out my House, M.D. community- Read, Loved and Obsessed About! and my House fanfics- Truly Beautiful, Spooky Scares, Costumes and Free Candy, or is it? Bosses, Babies and Brutal Honesty (which is in production, but on hiatus), The Good Doctors, Last First Words, Not Done Falling, and my newest, extended oneshot, Life Is Unpredictable. I also wrote a House, M.D. songfic, so that can't be put on the site, let me know if you're interested in reading it! Here's a link to the music video that a friend I met on this site made for me using the song from it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJnPQA5bTlo and another House/Cameron vid she made using a song I requested- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQkzdodTXhU Please take a look at my Bones fanfics too- Loosen Up (which is currently on hiatus), Scared of the Storm, Maybe That's Why People Married, and A Future in the Past (formerly Do We Know Each Other? which was on hiatus, but is now complete) Thanks!
End note- I finally found a way to explain how I feel about the current situation of the show House, which means...it's RANT TIME!
Short list of things I don't like;
Cameron's personality transplant
The sudden, unexpected twist from House/Cam moments to House/Cuddy and Chase/Cameron moments
The formulaic tendencies
The Chase/Cam "relationship" (it makes Cameron seem bitchy and Chase seem needy)
The character/actor problems; the characters have become cliches of their first season selves, it's like their most notable traits went into overdrive and made everything they say sound incredibly rehearsed, whereas in a good show, the actors don't seem to be acting, when they are on the screen, there isn't a clear distinction between themselves and who they are portraying.
The plot problems; instead of introducing a new person that stays on for an entire season, or creating a recurring plot line, they have plot-arcs that end just as randomly as they began, resolving and changing nothing. Also, the "blond vegan," she was so insignificant to the show, that when she was brought up in conversation, I didn't know who the other person was talking about. She was just meant to confuse and annoy the audience, perhaps intrigue as well, but an irrelevant character is the lowest, least creative way to keep viewers tuning in.
Seeing as how that rant was about season three, I suppose it's time for me to complain about season four;
I. Hate. Thirteen. She's just a clone of third season Cameron. And now there's a ship for House/Thirteen. Gag. I miss Cameron, and even Chase, as strange as that seems. House and Cameron have such natural chemistry, it's so cruel to split them up! At least, my House/Cameron shipper mind believes so. Ugh...I just...I don't want to watch it, but it's become a habit. I can complain all I want but the truth is...I'll probably watch the show to the very end, even if I hate it. Sad, isn't it?
Here's something to give you an idea of how much I talk about my dislike of the current status of House. One night, at an end of the summer sleepover, my friends and I were playing Apples to Apples, and a friend of mine gave me these fantastic quotes without even thinking about it;
(After I read a card saying "Casual- easygoing, blase, nonchalant") "How about Cameron and Chase's sex life?"
(After I read only the word "Easy" from a card, keep in mind this was the only word read) "Cameron"
Hope you liked those- I got a great laugh out of them.
Well, it was good to get all of that out of my system! Even if nobody reads all of that, at least it's out there on the internet so people can agree (or disagree...I guess) with me on the subject.
Thanks,
Rebecca
