Author has written 16 stories for House, M.D., Bones, and CSI. Hello everybody! Thanks for visiting my profile! I am now a beta reader! If anybody needs a beta for a Bones or CSI: Crime Scene Investigation fic, let me know! Name: Rebecca State: Minnesota Grade: 11th Age: 16 Courtesy of xXxPrincess of DreamsxXx: If you have ever pushed on a door that said put this in your profile. If you think those kids should just give the Rabbit his darn cereal put this in your profile! Courtesy of imagine.life.sweeter: Nerds are cool. Nerds are smart. Nerds will one day rule the universe. If you are a nerd and proud of it, copy and paste this into your profile. Ninety-eight percent of teenagers have tried smoking pot. If you're one of the two percent that hasn't, copy this and paste it in your profile. If you have an increasingly sophisticated and extensive vocabulary, situate this in your characterization. If you know Booth and Brennan were meant to be, add this to your profile. A large percent of authors do not know the difference between 'your' and 'you're.' If you do know the difference, copy and paste this to your profile. Courtesy of mustanggirlz07: Girl: Do I ever cross your mind? Boy: No Girl: Do you like me? Boy: No Girl: Do you want me? Boy: No Girl: Would you cry if I left? Boy: No Girl: Would you live for me? Boy: No Girl: Would you do anything for me? Boy: No Girl: Choose--me or your life Boy: My life The girl runs away in shock and pain and the boy runs after her and says... The reason you never cross my mind is because you're always on my mind. The reason why I don't like you is because I love you. The reason I don't want you is because I need you. The reason I wouldn't cry if you left is because I would die if you left. The reason I wouldn't live for you is because I would die for you. The reason why I'm not willing to do you anything for you is because I would do everything for you. The reason I chose my life is because you ARE my life. If you find this incredibly cute and touching, copy and paste it into your profile. I found this fantastic list on the profile of 9ud9ir190ne6ad; You know you live in 2007 when... 1.) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave. 2.) You haven't played solitaire with real cards for years. 3.) The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is they don't have a screenname or myspace. 4.) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the buttons on the TV. 6.) Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job. 7.) As you read this list you keep nodding and smiling. 8.) As you read this list you think about sending it to all your friends. 9.) And you were too busy to notice number 5. 10.) You scrolled back up to see if there was a number 5. 11.) Now you are laughing at yourself stupidly. Put this in your profile if you fell for that, and you know you did! I certainly did! (Fanfiction) Writer’s Questionnaire Estimated number of stories written: 22, 16 are posted. Longest story was (how long): To Love a King. 15 chapters, 19,390 words. Shortest story was (how long): Maybe That’s Why People Married. Drabble, 370 words. Preferred genre: Romance. Weird habits when you’re writing: Resting my feet on the sharp metal edge of my desk. Word processor or notebook? Word processor. Open/Private about writing? Open. Published? Only on fanfiction.net. Favorite fandom: Can’t choose just one, even tie between Bones and CSI. Favorite story: It's too difficult to choose. Out of the fics I've written, any with more than one chapter qualifies as a favorite. When it comes to other authors, just take a look at my favorites. Favorite line: I honestly have no idea. There are too many fantastic ones to choose from. I'll give you the most poetic group of lines I've ever written, which come from my CSI twoshot: "When they pulled apart, they looked into each other’s eyes and saw something infinitely better than a fountain show- love. Unending, uncompromising, enduring love. And at that moment, they both realized an irrefutable truth. Fate brought them together, and destiny would keep them together. For the rest of their lives, their hearts would dance together, never slowing, and never stopping." Writing music? Usually don’t listen to anything; screws with my concentration. Hardest to write: Angst. Easiest to write: Romantic relationships/dialogue. Pet peeves in others’ writing: Bad spelling and/or grammar. Prefer 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person? 3rd, in fanfiction, but 1st for novels and such. Ever created a Mary Sue? -laughs at self- Yes, but that fic is no longer posted. Which is hardest to write—beginning, middle or end? Middle, because I always know how I want my fics to start, and how I want them to end, but I have trouble getting from point A to point B. Best thing about writing/being a writer: Other people telling you that reading your work made them happy. Worst thing about writing/being a writer: Time restraints when attempting to complete fics. Writing—hobby or addiction? Hobby. Longest case of writer’s block: Oh, geez. I was stuck on this one story for more than a year (I eventually took it down from the site)…but I don’t go more than a couple of weeks without getting a new idea, even though I don’t always write them down. Thanks to L'ange de Vie, who's profile I used to copy the questions. I'm glad I was able to answer them, they made me feel more confident in my abilities as a fanfiction writer. At least I know what I'm doing! My favorite TV shows include but are not limited to; Bones My second obsession! Seasons one through three are mine! A popular website for Booth/Bones shippers like me is www.beyond-bickering.net. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation I got hooked on CSI from watching one repeat on Spike. I now own seasons one through seven. Fellow viewers (and Sara Sidle fans) understand why I didn't watch most of season eight. Grissom/Sara is my ship of choice- my favorite fansite is www.gsrforeveronline.com. I'm so happy that Sara survived! GOD BLESS TPTB FOR GIVING GRISSOM AND SARA THEIR WELL DESERVED HAPPY ENDING AND BRINGING SARA BACK!! House, M.D. Read season rants at the bottom of my profile. This show was a central figure in my world for over five years, and now, in my eyes, it's gone. Out of respect and appreciation for those who have followed my House works, and the time and effort I put into them, I will leave them posted. However, I will not be writing for or reading the fandom anymore. I also enjoy Who's Line Is It Anyway, The Nanny, Golden Girls, Will & Grace, and most of the shows from Fox's Sunday night line-up. My favorite books are; A Great And Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, The Sweet Far Thing, The 1-800-Where-R-You Series, the Mediator Series, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, The Other Boleyn Girl, the Twilight Series, and Good in Bed. I also love Kathy Reichs's books (due to my love of the TV show Bones). I love so many movies I couldn't possibly be asked to pick favorites, but I do like Dramas, Comedies and Romances, or any combination of the three! My music taste is all over the place, though I prefer soft rock or pop rock. My favorite artists and songs change from week to week! Lucky for me I have an I-pod (a blue video nano) so I can listen to all of my favorite songs from one tiny, portable device. www.quizilla.com- A cute site for quizzes! There are Bones quizzes on there, apparently, I'm most like Zach Addy...that can't be good (which we've recently found out isn't, in fact, good). For CSI, I'm most like Catherine or Sara, though I'm not nearly as beautiful as either of them. For House, M.D., I'm most like Cameron (I hope they're talking about season 1 Cameron, not season 3 or 4!) or Wilson. Thank you to everybody who read my first fic ever, "California Dreamin'" Though my other fics were not as popular I have decided to delete it. The spacing is wrong, and for a lot of the chapters I forgot a disclaimer and had to put in a junk chapter apologizing. I've met a lot of wonderful people through the story however, and I hope I'm not upsetting anybody by getting rid of it. Say goodbye to Bosses, Babies, and Brutal Honesty. Despite the amazing outpour of support for the fic while it was being updated, I haven't even looked at it in years. Obviously, I don't do well with chapter fics. Thank you once again. I also deleted my 2nd and 3rd fics- A 13 Year Old Secret and The Reason, because even though I finished them, I turned into a House/Cameron shipper while writing them, so it isn't really appropriate for me to have them up now, seeing as how they were Cameron/OC. They weren't that popular anyway. I have now removed my fic "Loosen Up" from the site. Though it was a successful Bones fic, it has been on hiatus for so long that I know it won't be continued. Thank you to all who read it. Now here's some more information about me; I'm on the computer a lot; I enjoy writing and reading fanfics, playing games like Sims, The Game of Life and free downloadable ones. I volunteer at a hospital every Friday and work every other weekend as a receptionist. If I'm not otherwise occupied I love to swim during the summer, go to movies, and hang out with friends -when they're not busy! My friends are hard to get in touch with, so I don't get to see them very often outside of school. I don't play sports and I'm kind of a nerd, so the computer is always a great friend to me! You can probably picture me by now and you're thinking- 'Why am I bothering with this girl anyways, she IS a nerd!' but please don't ignore me or my works. I'm smart- (A honor roll, student of the month, academic letter- all that jazz!), nice, and a really good friend! I live in a suburb with both of my parents who have been married for about 20 years. I'm an only child, but I have a Shih Tzu- it's a kind of dog for those of you who don't know. I'd love to be a pediatrician when I get older. I'm not sure exactly what college I'll be attending, but I know it'll be a good one! Right now my dream college is Johns Hopkins. I have all of the right credentials, but I need a superb ACT score. I hope to get into a good medical school as well. Well, I hope I haven't sounded too braggy or down on myself- I can do that sometimes! That's all I can think of to say, so thanks again for stopping by and check out my House, M.D. community- Read, Loved and Obsessed About! and my House fanfics- Truly Beautiful, Spooky Scares, Costumes and Free Candy, or is it?, The Good Doctors, Last First Words, Not Done Falling, Life Is Unpredictable, Five Times a Dreamer, My Eyes, and To Love a King. I also wrote a House, M.D. songfic, so that can't be put on the site, let me know if you're interested in reading it! Here's a link to the music video that a friend I met on this site made for me using the song from it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJnPQA5bTlo and another House/Cameron vid she made using a song I requested- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQkzdodTXhU Please take a look at my Bones fanfics too- Scared of the Storm, Maybe That's Why People Married, and A Future in the Past (formerly Do We Know Each Other? which was on hiatus, but is now complete). Thanks! End note- I finally found a way to explain how I feel about the current situation of the show House, which means...it's RANT TIME! Short list of things I don't like; Cameron's personality transplant The sudden, unexpected twist from House/Cam moments to House/Cuddy and Chase/Cameron moments The formulaic tendencies The Chase/Cam "relationship" (it makes Cameron seem bitchy and Chase seem needy) The character/actor problems; the characters have become cliches of their first season selves, it's like their most notable traits went into overdrive and made everything they say sound incredibly rehearsed, whereas in a good show, the actors don't seem to be acting, when they are on the screen, there isn't a clear distinction between themselves and who they are portraying. The plot problems; instead of introducing a new person that stays on for an entire season, or creating a recurring plot line, they have plot-arcs that end just as randomly as they began, resolving and changing nothing. Also, the "blond vegan," she was so insignificant to the show, that when she was brought up in conversation, I didn't know who the other person was talking about. She was just meant to confuse and annoy the audience, perhaps intrigue as well, but an irrelevant character is the lowest, least creative way to keep viewers tuning in. Seeing as how that rant was about season three, I suppose it's time for me to complain about season four; I. Hate. Thirteen. She's just a clone of third season Cameron. And now there's a ship for House/Thirteen. Gag. I miss Cameron, and even Chase, as strange as that seems. House and Cameron have such natural chemistry, it's so cruel to split them up! At least, my House/Cameron shipper mind believes so. Ugh...I just...I don't want to watch it, but it's become a habit. I can complain all I want but the truth is...I'll probably watch the show to the very end, even if I hate it. Sad, isn't it? Here's something to give you an idea of how much I talked about my dislike of the status of House during seasons three and four. One night, at an end of the summer sleepover, my friends and I were playing Apples to Apples, and a friend of mine gave me these fantastic quotes without even thinking about it; (After I read a card saying "Casual- easygoing, blase, nonchalant") "How about Cameron and Chase's sex life?" (After I read only the word "Easy" from a card, keep in mind this was the only word read) "Cameron" Hope you liked those- I got a great laugh out of them. Time for my season five rant! Okay, so it's not so bad. I just had to get that out of the way. Getting to see Chase and Cameron again has been fantastic, and their relationship no longer bothers me, now that it's more than just a sexual arrangement. Though I wouldn't mind a House/Cameron relationship if it were to develop, I don't care nearly as much as I used to. In fact, I'm convinced that she deserves better. Cameron is even back to normal! She's intelligent, caring, and confident, but not arrogant and mean. I was also absolutely floored when she solved a case. For those of you who weren't paying attention, she came up with the final diagnosis for the hostage case. I still don't approve of House/Cuddy, but you never know what changes time may bring. At first I still disliked the new team, but as I watch them more, I'm beginning to warm to them- even (stunningly) Thirteen (refer to previous rant to see why this is stunning). The cases are interesting too, so it's shaping up to be an entertaining season. TPTB better not let me down! Season six: Well, what can I say? I started the season with such high hopes. Chase and Cameron were back, sparks were flying, everything was as it should be! Then Chase killed a patient and all of my optimism for the season imploded. From the destruction of the Chameron relationship to the continuation of the Huddy arc, season six ended up being nothing that I wanted. Moments ago, I watched Cameron leave PPTH. Her speech was beautiful and heartbreaking. The loss of my most beloved character is, after all of the trials and tribulations of the past three seasons, the reason I will no longer be watching the show. As she admitted, Cameron loved House, and she loved Chase. She feels bad for them because there's no going back from what they've turned into. True fans of Cameron loved her through every season, and I know we all feel bad for the show, because there's no going back from what it has turned into. Well, it was good to get all of that out of my system! Even if nobody reads all of that, at least it's out there on the internet so people can agree (or disagree...I guess) with me on the subject.
