TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I've thought it over a lot (and I'm sure some of you saw it coming) but I've decided that I am 'retiring' from fan-fiction.net (and this will most likely be permanent) as a writer. I will, however, be keeping my account so that I am still able to read/review other people's stories. The decision I've made is based on the following reasons:

1. Lack of inspiration, among other things

2. I don't have the patience to sit and plan it out like I thought I did; frankly, I'm bored with the whole idea, and it's gotten to the point where I realized I'm
nitpicking over silly things and I just have kind of lost my enthusiasm (and it's not the first time this has happened, either)

3. I'm trying to reinvent myself as a writer: in other words, I'm attempting to leave behind the world of fanfiction and focus on writing regular fiction. I started writing fanfiction when I was about 13-14, and now that I'm less than a month away from turning 20, and I've learned a lot of things about writing and myself as a writer, I don't feel the need to write fanfiction anymore. But you can bet that I'll still be reading other people's stories and reviewing, like I said before. And of course, you can feel free to email me or PM me for whatever; I always enjoy talking to other writers on this site :)

Thank you all so much for your support; it's been fun and even though it sounds horribly sappy, I wouldn't be the writer I am today without the experience I've had on fanfiction. :D

Hiya! -waves-

I'm 3DG, but of course, that's not my real name; my real name is Amanda. I'm 19 years old (almost 20), a Sophomore in College, majoring in English with Creative Writing. I live in a small town in upstate New York with my parents and little sister and our two pets (a cat and a bird) I'm a nerd at times, freakishly hyper on occasion, but for the most part, I am just your average girl/nerd :D.

I've been on this site as a writer for almost 7 years, but recently, I decided to 'retire' (see the note above) and try to transition into writing regular fiction. My one ambition? To be a published writer, of course.

I've left some old stuff of mine up, but I plan on taking it down eventually. And even though I won't be writing fanfiction anymore (unless by some miracle I decide to make a comeback; but if I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath xD) I will still be reading/reviewing other people's stories :)
