Author has written 7 stories for SeaQuest. Mar 3 2009 I can't believe I wrote all that three years ago! Doesn't time fly when you are having fun? I have really enjoyed playing around here and finding a place that allows me some creative outlet for the nonsense in my head. It was kinda strange to realise just how many other people there are out there like me who like making up stories about characters who almost feel like family. I know some people would never understand it but this is actually a very cool place - or else you are all just as nuts as me! Anyway I don't have any further stories in the pipeline at the moment as I just can't commit the time to do anything justice. I really hate starting to read a story that drops off in the middle and it's clear by the date that the author is not coming back to finish it. I ran into trouble with my last story as I couldn't get the storyline out of my head but really didn't have time to spend on it. Finishing the things I should have been doing at 3 in the morning is not so smart! Yes I know - you've done it too but I'm getting too old to last for long on 3 1/2 hours sleep so for the time being I'm signing out from writing. One day I hope to be back here writing again but in the meantime you may like to look over my favourite stories. I deliberately haven't listed any favourite authors as I prefer to list favourite stories instead. Some writers write in different genres and I don't always read all their stuff; particularly if it's a show I don't watch. But if I listed a story it's because I really enjoyed it. You will probably see from my favourites that I like all sorts of things so I hope you enjoy the ones that appeal to your taste. And yes - I do have a strange sense of humour so be warned! 2006 I'm an Aussie mum who loves pretty much any sci-fi. Battlestar Galactica started it all when I was a kid! I have recently bought seaQuest off ebay and introduced my kids to it. I just wish Season 3 hadn't happened so maybe this is my way of extending the first season :-) I have always loved writing but haven't done much for a while. I only discovered fanfiction by accident while searching for something one night. I came across a post by someone saying they made up stories about their favourite tv show and I thought I've been doing that in my head for years. So I followed the white rabbit down the hole and ended up here. So far it's been fun getting back into the swing of writing again. I started with seaQuest because I liked the characters and found I could write realistically about most of them. I always loved the connection between Ben and Lucas as well as the relationship between Bridger and Lucas so that will probably dominate my writing for a while. I'd love to be able to write more on Jonathan and Miguel's characters but so far I've only managed to get them down as a side character. I'll have to work on that one because I really liked them both. I love getting your feedback as it tells me where I've got it right and where I need to work on it. I'm always looking for new ideas so feel free to drop me a message if you want. Oh...one last thing...I use Aussie spelling but try not to use local slang. Sometimes it creeps in though so sorry if it does. Thanks for reading my stories - I hope you enjoy them. | |||||||
