I'd just like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about each of my stories than the summary space allows me.

The Mysterious Master

This is just a cute little one-shot about a very different way James and Lily may have gotten together. It's set during their seventh year at Hogwarts. Involved in this story are the Maruaders, a secret society dedicated to a challenging game headed by an unknown and skilled master, numerous bets that could rob the Marauders of their prized possessions, and a subtle yet powerful admittance of feelings.

Current status: Finished, though I'm thinking of revising it because it was written so long ago.

Lily the Waitress

A medium-length story about the love between Lily and James. Lily disappeared from the wizarding world when her family was attacked by Death Eaters. Her parents were killed and her house was burned down and the wizarding world believed her to be dead. James of course takes this news the hardest, struggling for months to cope with her loss. His friends try to get him to get on with his life and abandon his unhealthy obsession with his grief, but the most they can manage is to get him to go out to dinner with them every Friday. One Friday they pick a muggle restaurant and James seems to develop a crush on their waitress. Sirius jumps at the chance for his mate to move on and inadvertently puts everything in motion. Contains lots of drama and a bittersweet ending.

He Loved Her First

This story was imagined before the seventh book, so it contains my version of the Marauders first day of Hogwarts, not J.K.'s. In my version a shy Remus Lupin met Lily Evans a few minutes before his rambunctious best-friend-to-be. This allows him to stake more of a claim on the desirable red-head because he fell in love with her first. Remus is also lucky enough to be the object of Lily's affection, unlike his best mate James Potter. Remus could only hold out so long before he disregarded his friend's feelings and was selfish for once. However, Remus and Lily's relationship changes things and people...

Current status: Being ignored... though writing this blurb reminds me of all the ideas I have for this story and how much I love it, so you might see an update for it soon! ;)

It's Better to Have Loved and Lost

This is my masterpiece. It chronicles James and Lily's relationship from the end of sixth year until that fateful October without succumbing to the popular cliches such as an instant love between the pair and an easy relationship. James and Lily suffer doubts, arguments, and jealousy, but somehow always seem to rise above it because love matters most of all. However, their love isn't limited to each other; their friends are a big influence in their lives and have a sizable role in the story (but Lily's friends are magically perfect for all of James's friends). Of everything I have written I am most proud of this because it's detail-oriented and fairly accurate, but also AU, which allows me to put my own spin on things! I know that forty-something chapters are daunting, but don't be afraid to dive in!
