carnageincminor is a major geek.

I stole this username from a Transformers episode; not a particularly good episode, but one in which Soundwave was practically the main character, and I adore Soundwave. Plus, the name sounds cool (yes, yes it totally does). I'm also very fond of Starscream (who really seems to be the fangirl favourite) so I guess that makes me a Decepticon at heart, eh? I'm a G1 snob even though I wasn't born when it first aired, and I'm also a snob when it comes to music because most punk rock aficionados tend to be snobs anyway.

I'm a fairly big Batman fan because I love the darkness of his character, the universe of Gotham City is wonderfully crafted, and the Joker is probably the best villain ever invented. In fact, the Joker made insanity look cool. Like the old-school snob I am, classic Joker of the comics/cartoon variety is still my favourite (with the Mark Hamill voice -- AWESOME, and ironic since he's also Luke Skywalker HA), though I do respect Ledjoker for being the one who does the character most justice in film. As for the Dark Knight himself, Bale is tops.

I don't watch a lot of TV these days but the only series I tune into religiously is Supernatural -- and to be honest, I'm not really sure why because I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of it. My interest started out shallow (cougheyecandycough) and I don't always like the plot, but the bond between the brothers is the real driver (and recently, Castiel). And that's where a lot of amazing fanfiction gets spawned, some of it a lot better than canon.

Watchmen -- I'm surprised I've gone so long without any knowledge of it because it's very much my kind of thing. Favourite character is no surprise (Rorschach) due to his baddassery and mask and voice (props to Jackie Earle Haley), even though he's practically a Nazi, which is conveniently overlooked. But in spite of his flaws he has some great character attributes and a tragic childhood to boot, so as a fictional character, he sits at 17 on a 1-to-10 scale of interesting.

Good Omens -- a fantastic book, and the funny thing is that being around fanfics so long, I'm automatically seeing Aziraphale and Crowley through slash glasses. They're an adorable duo, and Crowley is the coolest demon ever (Aziraphale's up there too, but he's got more competition by way of other cool angels like Tyrael and Castiel).

I'm not much of a writer, but I love reading fanfics. I tend to write slow when it's an episodic piece, and I also have a tendency to try too hard to sound edgy. But, well, nobody's complained yet. ;)

I watch a lot of movies ever since I lost the attention span to hold a book (that isn't a textbook). When I used to read, a lot of it was Stephen King (who is a pure visionary), a lot of it was Matthew Reilly (putting action films on paper!) and the rest were modern classics that I'd like to think have made me pseudo-intellectual. I've been a gamer since the DOS era and in recent years have developed a fixation on flash adventure/room-escape games. Like I said, total geek.
