This means every story that I put up here involve characters, places and things that do not belong to me. Please use your brains to consider this and your eyes to enjoy the free entertainment. The only payment I get are your faves/alerts/reviews... and fanart?! What to Expect of DF's Fanfiction: I'm a satirist at heart. Humor is my 2nd most common genre, but that doesn't mean I don't write the occasional bloodbath. The most common way I write is 3rd-person omniscient and I abuse commas. If I do not like a character/show I will not bash/flame. If you are impatient/romanticist/prefer stories with indisputable endings you are most likely not going to enjoy my stories. I am a horrible updater/hardly romantic/write very openly. Do not fret if you fear unfinished stories, because I won't leave any of them incomplete. Romance: Canon/popular pairings do not guarantee a good story. If you want to write a story with your favorite pairing (or a threesome, foursome, etc...) make logical situations that will move the characters where you want. Making the characters OOC for the sake of your favorite pairing looses the emotion and meaning to your readers, wondering why you enjoy that pairing in the first place. If you aren't sure if your pairing is acting realistic try to think from your fellow anti-pairing fan's point of view. Why do they think that pairing is bogus? What kind of plot can you make to fix that? First Language Comes First: While I'm aiming this at the Anime/Manga fandoms, this rant goes for any misused language. If you are writing a story in English, it goes into the English category. Writing in rōmaji does not qualify the story to go into the Japanese category. Rōmaji is used for English speaking beginners to learn how to pronounce Japanese, not read it. If you are like me and tend to watch and read things in their original format, you know that some things don't translate. Those are ok to use in fanfiction, because there is no English equivalent. However, if you insist on 'spicing' your story up to impress your friends, at least use them correctly! Ohayo gozaimasu is good morning, Konnichiwa is good afternoon, Konbanwa is good evening, and Moshi-moshi is for answering the phone. If you love the language like you claim so much, don't insult the people who actually know how to use it. Flame vs Criticism: Please don't tell someone that their story sucked because the main pairing wasn't your favorite. Explain to them why the story doesn't work for you. Give them suggestions to how they can make the pairing somewhat believable to you. And even if you are only praising someone's work, try to spell to the best of your ability. Unless you are friends with the person who wrote the story, that tends to kill the message you are trying to send out. In the end, flames only change the minds of the young or new folk. This is the Internet, lying thrives/we've already seen worse things/we've already been scarred for life/temper tantrums are not new and insightful. Feedback for Myself: I don't mind not getting reviews. I just have to look at my alert/fave/C2 to see how successful the story is. However, a fave does not tell me why it's enjoyed. If you do have free time to do so, I would love to have your opinion on what sucked/what didn't and why. Believe it or not, constructive criticism helps improve my writing. Requests: I am more than capable of writing any genre. However, romance is not a simple concept for me. Unless it's humor/canon/parody no one is just suddenly going to love each other. So when you type your request, "OMG! Write AxB!" you better attach some plot/ideas that will help your goal out because, my God, leaving me to my own devices is going to leave you with something you hardly recognize, and not so candle light dinner. You don't have to type me a detailed account, I love working out plot holes. Also, do not request if I cannot pm you back. I will wish to send you samples of my rough draft so I know we are on the right page. Do not request a multi-chapter. I can barely update my own, let alone disappoint more people.
