Author has written 9 stories for Kevin Smith, Sopranos, and Yu-Gi-Oh. UPDATE: 12/5/12 Gosh, I am so sorry to anyone who is still following The Breath of an Outside God. I DO plan to keep writing; I fell out of the habit of writing and got very busy, so squeezing in time is a struggle. But the story is not dead by any means, just on a (very very long) break. O The Breath Of An Outside God - A story about Malik, set in Ancient Egypt - in which he has to escape from the Pharaoh's city for a crime he committed. Thief King Bakura is in it! Probably the story I'm most perfectionistic about, which is why it takes so long to update. The Taste of Hemlock - Joey and Malik end up at the same college. That's all very well, but how are they going to get along with their professor? Gotta read it to find out who he is! From Joey's POV. In This Town They Kill The Weak - It's San Diego in the '80's. Malik is a bartender, Akefia is a gang biker. All that remains to be done is figure out how to kill the zombies. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy - One shot. So a college graduate and a scam artist try to get through airport security. Thank god they both speak Arabic. O O O THE BREATH OF AN OUTSIDE GOD: MEET THE THIEVES (OC GUIDE!!) AMINADAV: Former Hebrew slave from the Pharaoh's city - around 30. He and Akefia go back for a while. He is a strategist and also specializes in weapons. KAWAB: Used to want to be a soldier in the Pharaoh's army. Certain events have changed his mind. Is the youngest of the thieves; tall, handsome and friendly. MEKHU: The treasurer. Lean, intellectual, and cold. Very good with numbers. Around 35. According to Akefia, the only 'family man' of the bunch. NEFERMAAT: Former assassin from Nubia with a price on his head. A bit of an opportunist; also very irreverent and has a high opinion of himself. Is rumored to be the best man in Africa with a blade. SIAMUN: The scout. He is the slightest of the thieves. Doesn't say much, but has uncannily piercing eyes. From a tribe of nomads. TETI-EN: The magician. According to Akefia, he is from a priest family. Can be a bit mystifying. Off in his own world a lot. ZAZAMOUKH: Another thief who goes back a long ways with Akefia. Looks out for Malik. Generally does all sorts of odd jobs. O O O RECOMMENDATIONS! (If you're ever in need of seriously good reading material...) Insomnia by Tendency Jabberwocky & The River of Thought by Rahuratna Simply Biological & You're So Spoiled! by Kiski Ningen & Ningyo by Tenshi no Toki Homecoming by Fiver A Plague by Jaswinder (and these four are more funny and less disturbing than the previous ten...) Lost Among Thieves by Angael The Age of Reason by Rahuratna The Magazine by The Blonde Midget Hands Off, Malik sama by Ryou VeRua | |||||||
