Author has written 40 stories for Phantom of the Opera, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and A Wrinkle in Time Trilogy. I am an avid Star Wars fan and Phantom of the Opera "phan," the combination of which gives me my unique username. I also go by the name "Dark Knight," as my online persona is that of a Dark Jedi. If you have a question about anything Star Wars canon, chances are I'll know the answer or at least know where to find it, especially if it has to do with Darth Vader. My knowledge is slowly approaching encyclopedic, though I have some catching up to do. Current tally: 106 out of the 230 EU books read for certain (I've read most of NJO, but I can't remember which, so I'm re-reading them all). 20 of those have not yet been released, which means I'm just over the halfway mark. Phew! In other fandom news, I've been introduced to anime and it was love at first sight. While I doubt I'll write much for any of them, one never knows. What have I seen? Well, I've seen all of FullMetal Alchemist and am doing my best to keep up with FMA: Brotherhood, both of which are probably my favorite thus far, though InuYasha is giving it a serious run for it's money (I'm only twenty-some episodes in, so that's subject to change). Avatar: The Last Airbender was good, and I'm looking forward to the movie, though I'm not sure when it comes out. I've seen part of Death Note (and all three movies), plus a few episodes of Serial Experiment Lain (which I might come back to) and the first three episodes of Bleach (which I'll definitely come back to someday), along with most of Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom (dark, but good in small doses) and an unspecified number of episodes of Naruto (hilariously funny thus far, with just enough seriousness thrown in), both of which I'm planning on finishing someday. InuYasha's going to be my main priority, however, since I'm very badly hooked...got through the first 27 episodes in three days! Star Wars is and will continue to be my main obsession, however. I've long been fascinated with the character of Lord Darth Vader. Even when I first saw "Star Wars: A New Hope," long before I knew of Luke's heritage or Mustafar's flame, I felt a sense of loneliness and sorrow for the character. Yes, he was evil, but I always felt as though there was something more behind the mask. With the release of the prequels, my musings were vindicated. Obviously, these thoughts affect my Star Wars writings considerably. As a writer, I am slowly working on a cycle of eight Vader-centered one-shot-style pieces, centered around Yoda's famous lines: "Fear leads to anger...anger leads to hate...hate leads to suffering..." with two one-shots per step, an event and a vignette. Three down, five to go! Dark Path 3: Anger of the Deceived is finally up, after much pondering. We're almost at the halfway point of the Dark Path Cycle, and I already have the final one completed. Now, time for the anger vignette... I have a ROTJ-AU brewing which is getting quite ridiculously long, at least for me. 60+ pages so far, with maybe a quarter of the story written! It will be quite some time before that is posted. Conversations is a teaser for that story. I have a few shorter pieces in the works as well including a Luke/Vader story that's an inversion of the popular "Vader rescues Luke without Luke knowing who Vader is" idea and the requisite Anakin-afterlife story, which many writers seem to have. I also have the glimmerings of an idea for a crossover between Star Wars and Tron, of all things. After seeing Phantom of the Opera in the theatre (not the silver screen) a crossover idea has taken a rather firm grip on my imagination. Nothing written yet, but much in the way of ideas. We'll see what happens. Masquerade is my attempt at a Halloween story in a universe that (to my knowledge) doesn't have Halloween. Not my best work, but it was nice to sit down and write something. The Christian Jedi Code is my take on something I've seen around the 'net a few times and took a crack at myself. Take it as you will. Conversations is a snippet of my much longer story. Mostly posted because I couldn't resist posting something on 9-9-09. :) All other projects posted here have been discontinued or put in long term stasis via carbonite. I will still write about the Phantom as I have inspiration, but my interests have swung towards Star Wars and anime for the time being, largely due to the "Fate of the Jedi" series and InuYasha. Enjoy my work, check out my favorites, and above all, remember this: the Force will be with you. Always. His deeds will not be forgiven, until he merits... | |||||||||
