Author has written 42 stories for Phantom of the Opera, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, A Wrinkle in Time Trilogy, and Matrix. Muses have returned, just slightly. I'm not willing to say they're back for fear of scaring them off, but hey. It's nice to have written a bit again. :) I am an avid Star Wars fan and Phantom of the Opera "phan," the combination of which gives me my unique username. I also go by the name "Dark Knight," as my online persona is that of a Dark Jedi. If you have a question about anything Star Wars canon, chances are I'll know the answer or at least know where to find it, especially if it has to do with Darth Vader. My knowledge is slowly approaching encyclopedic, though I have some catching up to do. Stupid real life cutting into my reading time! :) In other fandom news, I've been introduced to anime and it was love at first sight. While I doubt I'll write much for any of them, one never knows. FMA, FMA: Brotherhood, InuYasha, Code Geass, Rozen Maiden, Darker than Black...one of those is bound to spark a plot bunny at some point. Also on the new fandom front, I've had my long-overdue introduction to the superhero genre. Curse it all: the last thing I needed was to fall hard for another massive universe! I blame Batman and Loki, for DC and Marvel, respectively. Star Wars is and will continue to be my favorite fandom to explore, however. I've long been fascinated with the character of Lord Darth Vader. Even when I first saw "Star Wars: A New Hope," long before I knew of Luke's heritage or Mustafar's flame, I felt a sense of loneliness and sorrow for the character. Yes, he was evil, but I always felt as though there was something more behind the mask. With the release of the prequels, my musings were vindicated. Obviously, these thoughts affect my Star Wars writings considerably. I'm also utterly obsessed with TRON right now...hey, I'm a computer geek, a sucker for the heroic sacrifice, and a fan of father/son dynamics. TRON had several of those, TRON:Legacy had them all. Despite the number of works I have in progress, I just haven't had much inspiration to write lately, aside from my contest entry. Hopefully the creative juices will start flowing again soon! Some of it's been eaten up by an original project, though. As a writer, I am very slowly working on a cycle of eight Vader-centered one-shot-style pieces, centered around Yoda's famous lines: "Fear leads to anger...anger leads to hate...hate leads to suffering..." with two one-shots per step, an event and a vignette. Three down, five to go! Dark Path 3: Anger of the Deceived is finally up, after much pondering. We're almost at the halfway point of the Dark Path Cycle, and I already have the final one completed. Now, time for the anger vignette... I have a ROTJ-AU brewing which is getting quite ridiculously long, at least for me. 60+ pages so far, with maybe a quarter of the story written! It will be quite some time before that is posted. Conversations is a teaser for that story. I have a few shorter pieces in the works as well including a Luke/Vader story that's an inversion of the popular "Vader rescues Luke without Luke knowing who Vader is" idea and the requisite Anakin-afterlife story, which many writers seem to have. I also have the glimmerings of an idea for a crossover between Star Wars and Tron, of all things. The Queen and the Monster is in the same style as a much earlier piece, The Dark Lord and the Angel. I found a rough synopsis on my hard drive and fleshed it out. I still think my first attempt at a fairytale was better, but you be the judge. Masquerade is my attempt at a Halloween story in a universe that (to my knowledge) doesn't have Halloween. Not my best work, but it was nice to sit down and write something. The Christian Jedi Code is my take on something I've seen around the 'net a few times and took a crack at myself. Take it as you will. All other projects posted here have been discontinued or put in long term stasis via carbonite. I will still write about the Phantom as I have inspiration, but my interests have swung towards Star Wars, anime, and TRON for the time being, largely due to the "Fate of the Jedi" series, InuYasha, and TRON: Legacy, respectively.
