Hello and welcome to my profile. You guys can call me Mega, since it's what I go by online, usually.

There isn't really anything too remarkable about me. I enjoy a bit of writing and roleplaying every now and then, but, otherwise I have a generally normal life. I do wish to be a game designer some day, however, and as far as fanfics go... I've had a bit of a block lately, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Additionally, I adore Kairi, and firmly think Zex isn't emo, but more on that later in my profile.

With that in mind, I might as well give some thoughts on pairings.

Now, when it comes to Kingdom Hearts, I firmly believe that there are no canon pairings. Nomura himself likes to leave things open, so no, Sora/Kairi is not canon, Riku/Sora is not canon, and Zexion/Demyx is absolutely not canon. Frankly, what bothers me above all else are elitists to their supposed OTPs who get angry when Riku and Kairi get paired together, or when crack ships are written. More-so, I do not support Sora/Kairi, Roxas/Namine, Riku/Sora, or any of the "popular" pairings, but I do not despise them (well, I really dislike Roxas/Namine, but that's neither here nor there). If it's well-written, that's all that matters to me, which is why I WILL read goodfic of ships I don't necessarily like.

Though, if you wanna know what KH pairings I support, here they are...

Zexion/Kairi, Riku Replica/Namine, Riku/Kairi, Riku/Kairi/Sora (though mostly as friendship).

Short, sweet, to the point. For Riku/Kairi I just find it more interesting than Sora/Kairi, which I personally believe to be a cliched love that is much akin to any optimistic hero/innocent girl pairing in fiction. Not only that, but I just don't see Sora as a romantic type, as I find him to be a friendly character who can see the good in just about anyone. Pairing him up would just seem awkward to me, and he's also a hero, so it's not like he'd have time to settle down. Plus, Riku, in KH1, at least, is very dedicated to Kairi and even allowed himself to sink into the darkness for hers and Sora's sake, although even when he was jealous of Sora being the Keyblade Master, he remained focused on Kairi.

Zexion/Kairi...well, that's a long story there. I got into it over a year ago when I read two wonderful fics by Shirozora. I would recommend these to anyone who's interested because the pairing was pulled off in a way that not only worked, but was fairly tragic. Of course, roleplaying peaked my interest in the ship, and now I value it as one of my all time favorites. Someday I wish to write a fanfic about it, although it may be difficult to work with, since they never meet in canon.

Riku Replica/Namine, to me, is just generally better than Roxas/Namine because it has more depth, to me. It could be because I adore Re:CoM and Riku Replica, but it's just a sad pairing that, though sometimes very onesided, has plenty of canon hints in Chain of Memories and Re: Chain of Memories. Roxas/Namine seems too rushed, really, and it's also incestuous, for Namine is Sora -and- Kairi's Nobody, according to the Ansem reports. Though, moving on...

ZEXION IS NOT EMO

If there is one thing I despise about the majority of KH fangirls, it's the assumption that Zexion is "emo". I, for one, have played Re:Chain of Memories, read the CoM manga, and read the CoM script, and I can ASSURE you that he is not. Not once does he seem to show any sign of "depression", nor is he quiet. Zexion talks a LOT, guys...almost as much as Xehanort's Heartless. In addition to this, he smirks a few times and is generally a manipulative character, who is also highly sophisticated. Now, I'm not saying that emos can't be smart, happy, etc, but the general stereotype of emo is of people who listen to loud music, cut themselves, etc, though the term in itself is supposed to apply to someone who is highly emotional, which Zexion is not, anyway. MARLUXIA IS MASCULINE

Another thing that irks me is how people assume that Marluxia is flaming gay due to his element and hair color. This makes me question how many people even bothered to research Chain of Memories because Marluxia is FAR from this. Rather, he is a cold, ruthless character, who wants nothing less than domination over Organization XIII. He is cunning, violent, and STRONG. Not once does he act giddy and like a pansy. Please realize this, people. Also, what's up with Vexen/Marluxia? KAIRI DOES NOT SUCK AS MUCH AS YOU THINK

I'm absolutely tired of the Sora/Riku fangirls' view on Kairi. She is NOT a bitch, nor does the "get in the way" of Sora and Riku. Newsflash: they are ALL friends. The three of them. Yeah, they all care about each other, thus how can she get in the way of people she cares about, who also care for her? More importantly, KH has no canon pairings, so there's nothing to get in the way of. Plus, Kairi is one of the sweetest characters in the entire game. She may not do much, but in what little screentime she has, she is shown to genuinely care about both of her friends. That, and in Kingdom Hearts II, she is willing to step into a dark corridor to who-knows-where, face Saix without any weapons, jump down a BALCONY to get to Sora, despite the heartless, and even was willing to help Sora and Riku during the final boss, but...it's obvious that she and Mickey were left behind, and then she ended up back on the island. In short? Kairi is a character with unexplored potential, and it's a true shame that people hate her so much.

RIKU REPLICA IS NOT RIKU, AND HE IS A REAL CHARACTER

People. The Riku R. filter is not for Riku, nor is it for Riku. It is for the Riku Replica, a character from Chain of Memories, who is severely under appreciated. Sure, he may look like Riku, but he has his own personality, in a way. This is coming from someone who has, again, played Re:CoM, read the manga, and read CoM's script; I know what I'm talking about. Unlike Riku, he is a lot more arrogant, sarcastic, and VIOLENT, too. Plus, his fake memories give him something Riku does not have--- a need to protect Namine at all costs. Plus, as soon as he found out he was a fake, his entire world practically shattered, but even then, he came back for Namine...to protect her. THAT is dedication. Additionally, being a replica, there's just a lot for him to deal with. Eh, maybe I'm biased, since he's my favorite character, but I wish he'd get more fanfics written about him...provided they're IC and not mindless yaoi. ._.

KH IS A DISNEY AND SQUARE ENIX GAME, BUT DISNEY IS THE MAIN PIECE

It irks me to no end, the way people neglect the Disney aspect of Kingdom Hearts in fanfiction. Donald and Goofy are staple characters, for one, and Mickey too, plus most of the worlds are Disney...not Squeenix. What I think is that most people neglect Disney because it's "OMG KIDDY D " or "no bishies ;;"...but honestly? That's ridiculous. Disney has so many worlds left unexplored, and a lot of remarkable characters. Final Fantasy, in comparison, is very unimportant to KH, sorry to say. Not that it's bad to write FF people, but I just think Disney needs more love. :x

READ THE SCRIPTS, WATCH THE CLIPS, DO WHATEVER...BUT PLEASE BE IC!

As a final point I would like to make, characterization is important. See, I'm not trying to insult anyone in particular, but, from what I've seen, a lot of the fics for KH are, um...well, not good. :x A lot of people do stuff just for the 'omg hot buttsecks', or character bashing, which just doesn't seem right. It's okay to support yaoi pairings, or yuri, or het, or anything, but is it really that hard to go to gamefaqs or KH vids to look up how a character reacts to things or even speaks? A character isn't a character without their personality, after all, thus, even in a pairing, that should be maintained. So, if you like Sora/Riku, it'd be nice if you kept the aspect of their friendship, rather than turning it into mindless fluff or smut, or Axel/Roxas with the actual snark that Axel maintains. That said, genfic is wonderful, too... cuz not everything needs romance.

Kingdom Hearts II: Dual Destinies.

Summary: Basically, this is an alternate version of the KH2 plot. Though it starts out similar to the actual game, there are enough differences to keep it from being exactly the same. Plus, as it goes on, a LOT of things will be different. One big thing in the prologue that alters the course of the plot is the fact that Roxas doesn't fuse with Sora. But, I won't spoil anything else. _~ Oh, and as a warning... the prologue is bloody long. 44 pages. But that's cuz I'm putting all five days(yes, five. I didn't want to do six. XD) in one chapter on here. Oh, and one thing: this fanfic is my first KH one, so go easy on me. =P

I have a Sonic related one, but I'm debating whether to put it up or not. It's pretty much AU, as it's based in a fanverse that mixes the games with SatAM, a bit of SU, and original ideas. It's Shadouge, btw. If anyone is interested, though, I'll add it. =) I'll have to revise one chapter, though, cuz it has a character in it that I do not affiliate with the paticular fanverse, but another one now. That, and I wanna keep OC's out of said fic. -shrug-

~Zexion is rather confusing in this story, you will find, though his over all intentions are evil.
