Name: Calliope-Elizabeth Seeing as everything I am ever obsessed with has to do with superheroes or characters that who have inhumane powers, martial arts (karate and kajukenbo) are my biggest passion! When I'm not either writing & reading fanfiction or writing novels or reading novels, I am probably training - YAY!! Twilight makes me so inferior, but I remind myself every day that BATMAN IS HUMAN (with no superpowers whatsoever)!! And he could totally take down James or Victioria or Jane or Aro from Twilight!! And so could Chun-Li and the heroine in the Thai movie "Chocalate". I am fascinated with and obsessed with the idea of Stockholm Syndrome, but as actual true love/romance, not a DISEASE I used to be obsessed with incest. Now I'm just extremely fascinated by conjoined twins, and twins in general. Why do you think Katy Perry's song 'Hot and Cold' had the line, "We used to be just like twins, so incinct."? DUH, because twins have that powerful, beautiful connection that I am looking for in love. All twins have the potential to fall in love. Interests: martial arts and creative writing. martial arts being the more important one. For some strange reason I like it when characters are wounded. I think its because I want to read about them overcoming them or pretending they don't exist...hence the reason I read LOTR and Batman fanfiction. I used to be overly obsessed with fantasy and the unreal, perhaps because of the intense passion that drives me, but that always made me feel inferior and I finally found something I can obsess over and not feel like its a complete waste of my energy. Like I said, as long as the hero is HUMAN, I'll read it. If the hero's not HUMAN, count me OUT. That's ironic since when I was obsessed with Twilight I absolutely refused to read AH stories but now I am reformed and am the opposite. I just DON'T GET why SOOO many of the Batman Begins/The Dark Knight fanfictions focus on the Joker instead of Bruce Wayne/Batman; Joker/OC stories make NO SENSE AT ALL because the Joker CANNOT and WILL NOT love, he can't even understand love. Bruce is a much more interesting character than the Joker: his endurance, his willingness to make many sacrifices, his pain tolerance, the disparity between his two different personalities (something fanfictions should explore but at the same time I hate it when fanfics make Bruce appear only strong when he's wearing the Batman armor...that makes absolutely NO SENSE WHATSOEVER, bruce has martial arts skill and training, it isn't the batsuit that makes him strong and powerful, the batsuit just offers him a degree of protection from knives, impact, and bulletfire)...et cetera. So much interesting about Batman...um, I mean Bruce. And everyone knows that Selina Kyle/Catwoman (or, who knows, even Talia Al Ghul) is a far better match for Bruce than selfish RACHEL. Just a little last minute note, don't count on anything being finished that isn't in the Batman begins/The Dark Knight section or any other Batman section. I'd love to finish them - my Smallville ones, my Twilight ones, Life With Dereck ones, any other fandoms I have flirted with - but I really don't have the time and want to dedicate the little time I have (what with doing a double major in Chinese and Fiction Writing at the same time as extensive martial arts training) to writing about one character set - Batman and company - and stick with it and try to leave an impression, change a few minds, on anyone who reads my stories. I am sorry about the other stories I started, and know what it feels like to read a fifteen chapter story that isn't finished and hasn't been updated in seven months, but my life has to take precedence to fanfiction SOMETIMES. In any case, if there is a story I didn't finish and you want to know what would have happened, message me and I'll tell you what would have happened if its not guessable (but I'll still tell you, even if its guessable, I'll justbe shocked you didn't figure it out.) And I fully intend on finishing every Batman story I post - this is an obsession that will LAST because it will not (I will not let it) leave me feeling depressed and inadequate. Smallville does, Twilight does, even Life With Derek does for a reason I can't tell anyone but might be obvious, and I need to focus my energies on something more (yes I know it sounds crazy) realistic. I might (emphasis on might) start a Batman/Degrassi crossover focussed on Ellie and Craig and Ellie becoming Batgirl and that being what finally helps her to completely end her addiction, but I don't know, its only a page so far and am completely lost as to most of the Degrassi characters, i think it would mainly be a Batman story and Ellie and Craig would serve as Batman OC's, it would probably be a Bruce/Ellie/Craig triangle (or is Ellie too young?
