Author has written 49 stories for Supernatural, Andromeda, and Smallville. G'day All, I can't believe that it is nearly a year since I updated my profile!! Shocker!! Okay I prefer to be called Shelly but ephiny is a name I have had for over ... well let's just say I have had it for a long time now! LOL I am 46 years young and a fan of the show Supernatural... yes even at my age! I am a writer and have just finished my 3rd year Bachelor of Arts in Film, Art and Literature and Philosophy and Religious Studies in a double major. I am doing honours this year. My honours thesis is going to be on horror movies, specifically Vampire movies from their very first ones through to today and why they have never faded away and why we keep wanting to be scared. Interesting!! So now I have finished my BA and on to the next phase honours, then who knows...I am looking at eventually doing my doctorate. I live in Australia, single and no kids - just me and my dog now, Rusty is an Australian terrier, a totally pampered pooch! I enjoy writing fanfiction as a side line to my novel and studies...I will be posting more, also in different shows, such as Andromeda etc... I am currently editing a finished manuscript for an ebook on Lulu.com and will be up for sale very soon... oohh nerve wracking, it is a thriller set here in Australia, I have two more ready for editing so I am hoping that they will be ready very soon. And maybe next year have them published as hardcopy books. I am a shocker at replying to reviews and I am going to really try and rectify that this year, but I would like to place a blanket and heartfelt thanks to all of those who take the time to review my stories, I take each and every comment to boost my enthusiasm for writing fanfiction, especially Supernatural. UPDATED DECEMBER 12th 2008 Hey all just a little thing I wanted to share, well after a few days of contemplation I decided to share, I recently won my first short story competition. Aside from all of the others I have entered and not won this was a unique one. Not going into detail as such but it was for Something Naughty Erotic Short Story Competition, the main reason I brought this up is because I used one of my stories from here. If I prick you... I had to take out any reference to Supernatural, Dean and Sam but other than that the story is essentially the same, just the last paragraph really. Anyway thanks to the inspiration of two very sexy young men especially one extremely tall and cuddly one ... yes I can say that honestly!! I was able to win a competition... UPDATED FEBRUARY 9TH 2009 For those who don't know and for those who would like a bit more of an update, I had been on a waiting list for nearly 5 months for surgery, more specifically a radical hysterectomy (sufferer of endeometriosis for over 30 years). So finally, on the 29th January I had my surgery and have spent the last week or so getting back on my feet so to speak. Still a long way to go but I am getting there; I will be updating over the next few weeks so please just be patient with me. I still get tired really quickly. UPDATE ADD ON On Saturday we had a devastating day where I live in Victoria, Australia; after suffering a three week long heatwave where temperatures soared to nearly 50 deg Cel. which is I think around 120 deg F. and 100 km/h winds couple that with drought conditions we have had no rain for over 2 mths and that was nothing to get excited about when it did rain, and well let's say it was terrifying. Fire has spread across most of the state and where I live - Bendigo, in central Victoria was threatened by a major blaze, it came very close to where I live and I had to evacuate my home on Saturday night, it was one block away. Bendigo is a large country city, population of 100,000 approx and the fire headed towards the CBD at one stage. Suburbs as well as surrounding bushland were flattened. We lost one poor soul who couldn't get out of his house in time. The rest of the state is still under seige basically, two towns have been wiped out, over 200 lives lost the devastion is no where near realised yet. So if you could please add a thought for the lost souls and for those who are now homeless in your prayers it would be greatly appreciated. UPDATE TUESDAY MARCH 3RD 2009 Just a quick update, and an apology, for the second delay, although this one was entirely out of my hands and is still is as it is now in the hands of the Omnbudsman and I have a new phone company supplying my connection. I just had to wait for nearly two weeks without a home phone or the internet. Next, I want to say thank you for all of the well-wishes and positive thoughts I have received, thanks again. I am getting better though it is a slow and steady progress, I'm having a slight complication but nothing to worry bout. I am back at Uni this week but I will still update each week, as I need to have something to write that is not involved with Uni at all, especially my thesis or essays. So that's it for now, I guess I should get back to the writing, now I have finally caught up with the updates, I haven't written a lot of reviews coz I just wanted to catch up as quickly as possible. I promise that I have faithfully read each and every one I have been reviewing regularily and will continue to do so from now on. YAY for Supernatural and Smallville, both shows have been renewed for another year ... just remember that no matter which brother we love, and for whatever reason that we do, it is a TV show and the boys need our support not our derrision. Fanfiction, is just that fiction, stories are products of imagination and not reality, thank the writers for giving their precious time and talent to us and not berate them for what they write. For without the writers we would not have FanFiction. On a personal note - Just bear with me, I will be updating as often as I can.
