I've always been interested in writing, but until this story (Life Changes), I've only written for my own enjoyment. This is actually the first story that I've finished. I retired from the Air Force after 20 years then became a cat groomer, running my business out of my home. I'm in my 50's with one child out of the nest and two more to go. Writing is my stress reliever and I guess you can tell I like writing slash and MPREG. My favorite character, as you have already noticed, is Commander Feral. There wasn't much fiction on him until I came along. I always felt he got a rather raw deal in the series.

23 Oct 07 - Thought I'd just update my profile a bit. Well it's nearly the end of the year again and wow! I've written 46 fics. I'm finishing my open stories as fast as I can. I promised myself I wouldn't have any of my old stories open. Have at least three new stories in the works. I'm also a beta for four different writers (yikes!). Good thing I'm an extremely fast writer. LOL

12 Dec 07 - I've certainly accomplished a lot in a year since I started writing, from my one paragraph long story to my multitude of stories, 53 at last count, wow! Hope I'm just as productive in the coming year.

Well it's finally 2008 - I managed to close my open stories before the year ended and now with the new year, I closed two of my more recent stories and managed to begin and post a new one called Beyond the Shadow of the Moon. I'm sorta stalled on Werekats Revisted and Psychic: Alien Invasion. Hopefully I'll get motivated on them soon. Managed to put more on Clandestine series, posted a short fluff piece called The Interview. So far a very productive start to the new year.

15 Feb 08 - I've finished Beyond the Shadow of the Moon and got a real winner on my hands. It's only been posted about a month and its over 1300 hits so far, amazing. I'm amazed at what I can put on paper so quickly...some are duds and others get wow reviews...its fun no matter what the response. A reviewer begged me to make a sequel to this story so I did. It was called Bloodnor's Vengeance. It sorta tied up the loose ends.

Still have to finish Werekats Revisited and Gender-Bender in Reverse as well. As if that wasn't enough, I'm a beta for six authors. I'm busy and loving it.

16 March 08 - Well I seemed to have run out of steam for a bit. Can't really complain, after all I did just poured out a huge batch of stories. Still stalled with Werekats Revisited but did finally post a couple of more chapters for Gender Bender Revisited. Have written up an outline for an epic. I was inspired by Kantos the Slayer's mega piece he's got running right now. Wow! Mine will be about a madman trying to take over the planet Aristal. He is using innocent soldiers and turning them into weres to be his army to kill world leaders in his first step to take over. It's up to an altered Feral and the SWAT Kats with special ops teams to stop the madman from making more were soldiers and carrying out his world domination plans. Hope I can pull it off.

28 Mar 08 - Surprised myself. Actually finished Gender Bender in Reverse and then started a new fic. Posted the first chapter for my epic but still stalled on my Werekats Revisited. Got to do some research to get on with epic. I beta for eight authors now.

23 May 08 - Wow! I can't believe I've written so many stories. Today I got the chance to do a collaboration. It was a very short story for a gal I've been beta for. She wrote the top half and I wrote the ending. I had to beta it, of course, but it was cool how we came together so well on it. It's called 'Bloody Valentine" by Jovianwolfgirl and me.

28 Jul 08 - Well our vacation to San Diego is behind us and now my family is concentrating on moving to the other side of the state next summer. Will take a year to pack, prepare our house to sell, and look for a new home. This means my writing will be a lot of hit and miss. I will try to close the old stories I've had sitting for so long before I get too busy to be on the computer. Thanks to all the wonderful readers out there and those that were willing to review. You are what keeps me going.

Homophobia and You

Well it's October 08 already. I've finally got my muse back after losing it for a couple of months. Now I hope I can close all the open stories I have. Wow...do I have a lot. Add to that, my brain is coming up with all these new ideas. However, I think I'm finally reaching the end of my Feral fetish (I think?), anyway, I do have one more major story with Feral that I'm planning before I move on. Looking to do other characters in short pieces and maybe a Harry Potter/Harry Dresden crossover. Stay tuned all my loyal readers to see what I come up with.

30 Nov 08: Well Thanksgiving has passed and we had a great one. Xmas shopping is done and so is wrapping. Got out tree day after turkey day and its waiting to be trimmed. So nice to get things done early...means more time to enjoy the season. I can't believe it, I've written 100 stories since I began writing and posting in August 06. Utterly amazing. Now I have to work toward reaching 200. LOL I finally did write a Harry Potter/Dresden Files crossover and it has been nicely received. All in all a great way to end the year.

18 Jan 09 - Well we're finally into the new year and I've managed to close four stories. I've been watching my readership numbers and it seems everyone is really interested in my A World Beyond Dreams and A Spy in the Night, so I guess I better focus on those and get one finished and the other moved on. Thanks to all my loyal fans out there who keep me going.

22 Apr 09 - Wow! How much a few months can change things. We have to put our move to the other side of the state off until next year. The present financial picture is to blame. So I've had to reconcile myself to just doing things around her to prepare the house for selling next year and finishing my open stories. I have also begun my first baby steps toward becoming a published writer. I've joined WE Books and The Writer's Meow to begin posting things for experienced writers to read and give me some idea how to move from fanfiction to original writing. Two of my first attempts are posted on my Live Journal (http://ulyferal.livejournal.com/) and Deviant Art site (http://ulyferal.deviantart.com/) as well as on WE Books. I don't think I'll stop writing fan fiction though, I enjoy it too much. Will be posting a Harry Potter/Dresden Files story very soon.

8 Jul 09 - Since we are stuck here another year, I went ahead and had my wrist and foot operated on. Healing nicely a month later. Going to visit the west side of the state tomorrow and Silverwood Theme Park next week. Trying to make it a good summer for our kids who can't get work due to the extremely bad job market in our town. Financially, we are doing okay, thankfully. On writing, I have a Harry Potter/SWAT Kat crossover planned but present working on sequel to my Welcome to America Harry Potter right now. Have far too many open stories. Really have to get busy and close them. Am very surprised that my story the Definition of Peace is still going strong and I haven't figured out when to end it yet. It was supposed to be an epic and it looks like it actually is. Also, Wolves of Arcanus is shaping up to be a long saga as well.

9 Oct 09 - Been a while since I've posted anything here. I've only managed to close one story in all that time and written a batch of one shots. Still I can't complain since I'm nearly to 140 stories posted. woohoo! Anyway, I came on here to post another little gay piece from another writer here who got it from a friend. This one is more sarcastic humor (tongue in cheek) and I enjoyed it lot. Hope you do to.

Being Gay Is Wrong

01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

ARE YOU SMILING YET?? AREN'T WE JUST A WONDERFUL COUNTRY OF HYPOCRISY? THERE ISN'T AN UNTRUE STATEMENT IN THE LOT DESPITE THE TONGUE IN CHEEK HUMOR IN THE WORDS THEMSELVES!
