(1/09) 'Hate To Love You' lives. Hopefully the next chapter won't take a year. Reviews, as always, are love.

MY FICS

- Hate To Love You (IN PROGRESS): Slightly AU S&S; what if Scott and Shelby grew up together? The two morph from childhood friends to competitive, cold enemies. They both end up at Horizon in the same ways and with the same problems they originally did on the show. Originally written in 2001, left incomplete following eight chapters. Re-write and revisions began in 2005; currently stands at eight chapters, only halfway through the re-write of the original.

NOTES: If you read and/or were a fan of the original HTLY, my vision and direction concerning where the story is going has changed. I want to dig deeper into Scott and Shelby as characters, as opposed to creating ridiculous, "soapy" drama. That being said it's possible that, Juliette's step-sister may not appear in the story, as she did in Chapter 8 of the original version.

- Shelby's Return (COMPLETE, BUT...): Shelby returns to Horizon, post 'One of Those Days' - begins with her undisclosed letters to Daisy.

NOTES: Originally written in 2000 (while the show was still airing new episodes, le sigh) before the Fox Family Channel denied us a second season. In retrospect, this probably worked out for the better as Hayden would have been too busy being Anakin Skywalker, and frankly, there is no Higher Ground without Scott. The story was originally a one-shot of Shelby's letters to Daisy following the end of "One of Those Days" It became a two-parter, exploring Shelby's POV as we didn't get to see leading up to her return in "Falling Up" Due to reviewer interest, it became a full fledged, multi chapter S&S fic, involving original characters, lot of angst, guns, and comas.

This is where the "BUT" part comes in. It is entirely possible that the story may be replaced in the coming months by a new, better written one-shot, detailing more of Shelby's letter's to Daisy (and perhaps Scott's reaction to reading them, prior to bursting into Peter's office and declaring "Shelby is in hell!") and more of her perspective (as well as Scott's) during her return in "Falling Up"

- Not Mike Brady (COMPLETE): Alternate ending to "Best Behavior" ; what if Shelby had met up with Scott at the docks as planned?

NOTES: This is a one-shot. Period. It'll never be anything more ;) Sorry guys!

FICS I ENJOY

I like fics that are well written and true to character. They don't have to be novel-esque or exceptionally wordy, but I like it realistic.
