The Author:

My name is Barbara a/k/a Babette. I'm a late bloomer to writing fan fiction. I just started writing this year (2009)! I’ve always loved superheroes, movies about superheroes, television shows about superheroes. You get the idea. I freely admit... is a geek!

I love Clois, too. There's no other way to state it. I'm a Superman fan from when I watched the old "Adventures of Superman" television show in reruns in the 1960s. I was just a little kid, but I've always loved this character and how Lois Lane was the one person in the entire universe that he felt any real and lasting connection. I've always wanted to write about them, and now I am doing just that. The words are flowing freely and I'm going with the flow. I seem to be good at multi-chapter stories. I’m not good at one-shots. The one-shots that I have done are for a continuing story that I finished. They’re epilogues to update my readers about where the characters are and what they’ve been doing since my last post.

My current obsession at the moment is Clark/Lois of any Superman verse. The characters are my favorites and have been for a very long time. I would like to write about other shipper couples, but the words aren’t coming right now. So, I’m enjoying what’s coming and I’ll run with it for as long as I can.

In between writing fan fiction, I'm in the middle of writing my very first novel, tentatively entitled The Best Man. It's a big undertaking and I'm very proud to say that I'm about a third of the way into the story. Hopefully, I will have it completed and prays I can get it published by mid-year 2010. Life with the Kents ~ Clark/Lois/Superman (Smallville AU): Multi-chapter story and an update to A Lot to Talk About centering on the family adjusting to the twins (Lara and Jonathan, now 5 years of age) coming into their powers and everyone who may or may not be affected by these revelations. The first chapter has been posted. Look for updates every Saturday. Check it out!

Try Not to Panic ~ Clark/Lois (Smallville AU): A one shot and an update to A Lot to Talk About, written for the Livejournal 12Days_of_clois community challenge "Summertime Food" with the prompt ‘pickles.’ Lara Ellen and Jonathan Clark Kent, Lois and Clark's twins, make their first appearance in this story.

I’ll Be There for You ~ Clark/Lois (Smallville AU): A one shot and an update to A Lot to Talk About, written for the Livejournal 12Days_of_clois community challenge "Somewhere in Metropolis" with the prompt 'city marina.'

A Lot to Talk About ~ Clark/Lois (Smallville AU): Multi-chapter story, set after Smallville Infamous 8.15. It's my interpretation of their relationship as it continues from that point forward. This story was my very first fan fiction story, and I'm very, very proud of it.

The Real Clark ~ Clark/Lois (Smallville AU): My fan fiction writer's block 'broke' through briefly with this one-shot. The Search for Lois Lane ~ Clark/Lois/RBB (Smallville AU): Multi-chapter story, set during and after Smallville Doomsday, 8.22. It’s my interpretation of the events of that episode and what happens next. The final chapter is now up! Bring on S9! The Story of the Century ~ Lois/Clark (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman AU): A one-shot written for the Livejournal 12Days_of_clois "Endless Possibilities" community challenge with a prompt of The Infamous Superman Interview. Completed and posted to my LJ and my writing journal.

A Chance Encounter ~ Teri/Dean (Actor Fic): A one-shot real life 'what if' story on the relationship of the actors Teri Hatcher/Dean Cain, written for Hanakt on her Birthday. Completed and posted to my LJ and my writing journal (see link above).

SUPERMAN RETURNS (AU):

SR - Healing Hearts ~ Clark/Lois/Kal-El (Superman Returns AU): Multi-chapter story centering on their relationship and how it affects Jason, Richard, and everyone else close to them. This story is a complete revamp and retelling of the movie and what happens after the movie ends. Chapter 12, the final chapter is now up.

Come Back to Me ~ Clark/Lois/Kal-El/Richard (Superman Returns AU): A one shot and a primer for my new story SR - Healing Hearts, written for the Livejournal 12Days_of_clois community challenge "Sounds of Summer" with the song prompt ‘Come Back to Me,’ by David Cook. The story is set between SII and SR.
