RANT

What the F is with the word "shaking" as used in the sentence; "He shook his head." Now I understand the need for it when replying NEGATIVELY, but it pisses me off when n author uses it to indicate a POSITIVE remark. I have read countless stories where, at the very crux of the story they use it in the worst possible way. By this I mean:

"Marcus looked to his companion, willing for what he knew in his heart to be true to not be so. "Please Arthur, tell me Emmalynn's alive, please!"

Arthur just SHOOK his head.

Marcus felt a wellspring of joy rise in his heart, it soared above the clouds; his love was alive!

Do you see what I mean? I've come across this many a time and it's never easier to understand. Oh, and that paragraph was entirely original just to let you know, but the underlying issue is synonymous with many other stories.

Please, for my sanity, instead of using "Shook" use "Nod".

If you give a thousand monkeys a thousand typewriters and let them work for a thousand years, you'll get Shakespeare. If you give one monkey a pen, give him five minutes, and then shoot him, the reflexes of his hand twitching while dying will give you the average yaoi story on Fanfiction.net- Evilshroom

"Sir, we're surrounded by enemies!" "Great! We can attack in every direction!" -Unknown

"We are two stars out of a trinity, but for your star to rise, mine must fall." -The Three Demons of Konoha

"The worst feeling in life is waking up one day to realize that your life means nothing, and not caring enough to change it. -Me

"For all the sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are there: It might have been." -John Greenleaf Whitter

“It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.” Unknown

"In our own way, authors are more powerful than gods, for we decide what even gods do." Unknown

"Of course, even such a charming and devilishly handsome young man such as himself could wear out his welcome. He knew when he wasn't wanted. He could take a hint. The banner the scientists had strung up across the Stargate declaring "Go Away, Magical Hobgoblin!" was completely unnecessary." -Mistress Nika, Super Transdimensional Battle Wizard Hero Force

Amethyst Dragon

In the war between good and evil, a Amethyst Dragon tends to walk the fine line of Neutrality.
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon walks a fine line between Law and Chaos.
As far as magical tendancies, Magical spells come as natural to the Amethyst Dragon as breathe from it's body.
During combat situations, whether by spells or by claw, your inner dragon will do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Dragon Description:

Formed from translucent amethyst, it is an awe inspiring sight to see one in it's true form. Light passes through the dragon's body creating a deep purple glow. It's scales will magnify the light rays into bright lavender beams to highlight this effect.

Amethyst dragons spend most of their time homebound but do occasionally feel the need to take a sojourn to a far destination. These dragons love books and will often pick their destination from one of the many stories and histories they may have read. Amethyst dragons are very solitary in nature, but do keep a distant watch on the world around them. They tend to be highly intelligent, and often amuse themselves in human form by building gadgets and toys. Amethyst dragons are very learned creatures.

Favorite Story

l_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _l- This honestly has to be one of my favorite stories of all time, I actually wasn't going to read it at first because it had no title, no summary, and just looked like a waste of space. But when I read it; pure magic, if a little confusing. I highly recommend this to anyone wishing for a deep, insightful read. It's the last story under 'Favorite Stories'.
