Author has written 4 stories for Stargate: SG-1, Harry Potter, and MacGyver.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears ...

I've been a reader/writer of fan fiction since the mid Eighties (Doctor Who), when the stuff was published in fanzines (yes, on printed paper of all things! Very, terribly twentieth century and quaint nowadays), and have been reading on-line fan fiction since 1997 (initially The X Files and then later Ranma 1/2, before moving to Stargate: SG-1 and then Harry Potter, Jane Austen, and a little bit of Stargate: Atlantis more recently). Some of my first fan fiction when I was younger was based around The Dukes of Hazzard! I'm male, which is why writing "Lady of the Gate" is proving to be an interesting challenge! And I'm not American, which is why I'm expecting to get pinged when I make an error with regard to American culture, history, or geography when working on my SG-1 fics.

I have a LiveJournal account (赤い太陽の昇る) here. There you can find updates about the status of individual chapters, teasers of material from upcoming chapters, and other possibly less exciting stuff.

You will have already noted, hopefully, that I am writing my SG-1 tales in large chunks (roughly 10 000 words each), so expect further chapters of similar length. Currently "Lady of the Gate" looks to run to about 18 chapters depending on my muse and how long it take to wrap up certain threads, while the glacial progress of "Behind Enemy Lines" and "The Hunting of the Jack" at this stage doesn't allow for visible finish lines.

My Harry Potter adventure comes in simpler, 2 500 word chapters, with the current plan to at least cover Harry fifth year ("High Inquisitor" being an OotP AU). This is currently on hold due to Deathly Hallows killing what enthusiasm I had for the series that had survived after Half-Blood Prince (DH is an average book, but in my opinion doesn't work as the finale to a seven-book series). I will admit that the concept/idea of the Harry Potter universe appeals more to me than the books themselves, most of which I've read only the once.
