Hello!

I'm fairly new to fanfiction.net, as you can probably tell, but I've been writing fanfiction for quite some time. I never really liked any of my stories, but when I began "reading around" I saw that I was beginning to have a desire to share my fan writing with the world.

I've been trying to write my own book, many failed attempts had me turn to fanfiction as to still work out my skills and better myself to maybe possibly be satisfied fully with something I write. You see, I justify my want to write fanfiction as a way to use already developed characters, in my own plot and settings and of course, a style of writing I try to improve. Also, it's pretty relaxing for me to be able to express myself in any way.

I paint, and draw, I'm currently enrolled in a very nice art college, for a Illustration degree and a minor in fine arts. Now what I'll do with that degree is a puzzling question. My dream is to have my own gallery where people can come in for commissions (that's where I paint something they want, I didn't know that for a long time) or buy one of my artworks or prints or whatever.

Until that point, I'm going to probably find a job with a company that see my skills useful. I would love to go into animation, as that's always been interesting to me, but I've never been able to draw cartoons well at all.

I also would love to publish books, and maybe if I ever get good at cartoons, a comic book, but I doubt it. Though, I hope to better my writing skills here and through classes that I look forward to taking in an art college, maybe even a double major, if that's possible.

I mostly have been writing fanfiction from the works of Jhonen Vasquez, I find his work amazing and a challenge to even try and keep the characters in the way they were intended. Also trying to get in the style of the twisting and ingenious plot lines are very difficult. Plus, I've always enjoyed his work.

I've never got into TV much, except for Invader Zim and House, M.D., they are the only shows I've been able to pay attention to. Though, I dabble in some anime, like Trigun, and Fooly Cooly. Movies I've been interested in are: recently Pan's Labyrinth, High Tension, Life is Beautiful, and one of my very favorites; Young Frankenstein!

Oh God do I love books! I can't list all of the ones I like, but my favorite, I have to say, as it's usually very hard for me to pick favorites, is Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. Recently I've read The Metamorphosis, 'tis wonderful.
