Allo. I'm a musical freak known as Whiskii by my freinds. Nice of you to stop by.

If truth be told, I know way too much about musicals, Miz, Camelot, Jekyll & Hyde, and Phantom (ALW's) than can, by any stretch of the imagination, be called "healthy". Which is actually kind of weird, because I used to be completely and utterly obsessed with Phantom of the Opera and was convinced that Emmy was a wonderful singer.
Yeah. I promise.
But anyway, somehow I came round. I think it was [bows head in shame Wicked that did it. I would go on forums/ff.net every day and see all these people going "OMG I'M SO ELPHIE" and I was all "Wha...?" and eventually I went on youtube and saw Kristin do Popular, and...yeah. This was all about September 06. In any case, I grew insanely obsessed with Wicked through about mid-October, at which point I [hem obtained the 1990 JH concept album and went nuts for it. I also started listening to On My Own and became, essentially, an under-educated Eppie-bopper, as I didn't have any idea what Miz was about, really. (Also, while reading the synopsis, I was distinctly unimpressed with Javert's character. I imagined him to be rather weasly, with an irritating tenor voice. Riiiiight.) Anyway, that went on for a while, and I got to know a ton of other musicals. But then over Christmas, we were driving way too much, and I just played the CSR of Les Mis over and over, and got to really, really like it. I was seriously, unhealthily obsessed by January. Haven't changed since. I'm the sort of person who will--seriously--go buy the sixty dollar watch because "But Mom, it's got RED HANDS!" "..." "AND BLACK NUMBERS!" "...feelign okay, honey?" Anyway, I know way too much about Broadway, etc. Esp. Miz, but I already said that. This summer we all went over to NYC and...well, it's complicated, but let us say that I passed up super-cheap tickets to RENT, Wicked, POTO, and Curtains in order to immerse myself in Miz three times straight.

So anyway, I used to write a lot of (read: two WHOLE pieces of) POTO-related fic, but recently (read: since January) I've been doing more Miz-related stuff. Only I don't write well or fast, so it's just 230 words so far. Be impressed...Anyway, of the characters, I'd have to say I'm most obsessed with Javert. And I wish I was a baritenor, but I'm a mezzo, and that's not likely to change anytime soon. But a girl can dream. In any case, I think the musical underdoes his character. (Yes. You read that right.) They don't make the S make any sense the way Hugo does. For the musical, it's just "oh dearie me. Valjean was nice. And Oh look a BRIDGE! I know, let's JUMP!" rather than "my whole mindset is utterly demolished, all systems overload". [stops self from ranting interminably on the subject But I don't try to write the character, I stick to Zelma, Ponine, Fantine, Cosette, barricade boys, etc. Because I would do it wrong, and then I'd never be able to forgive myself.

Oh, and I'm on LJ under the name wing[underscoreof[underscorefancy. If you see me around in a comm or something, go ahead and tell me who you are on here, and I may well add you.

Le Stories:

Angel of Music: Yes, I am aware that I have used what must be the single most overused title in all of PotO fanfiction. I wrote it in July '06...basically it's an angst-party. shrug

Devil's Child: Yes, I am aware that I have used what must be the second most overused title in all of PotO fanfiction. My take on Erik's past. Unfinished, unlikely to ever be continued.

The Lark: a 240-word (or something in that region) thing written for the revolution_but_ LJ challenge. I'm rather proud of it, as I banged it off in 8 minutes and it actually--gasp--doesn't suck! Too horribly, that is.

Also, anyone bouncing around the Les Mis fandom will have seen Shadows, my incredibly angsty and OOC Fantine fic. It's deleted now, but I'd just like to tell the people who reviewed telling me to get over myself were absolutely right. I'm trying to be better at the characterization thing now. But probably failing miserably. Whatever.

Le Ships:

Okay, I used to be a bit anti-slash, but recently I've come round to it. I won't say I'm a huge fan of the whole H/D fandom, but I do ship some Gelphie and Cosette/Ponine.

Anyway.

Phantom of the Opera:
R/C, mostly. I am not fond of E/C fics unless they're done exceptionally well. I have seen way too many Gerik/MarySue fics for my liking. The same thing for R/E fics: Too many "OMG, Role is such a foppppityfop!" for me. Otherwise I'm basically fine with any ship.

Wicked:
I already said I ship Gelphie. I'm also fine with Fiyeraba and Gliyero, though. Not fussy.

Les Mis:

I. Loathe. Eppie/Marius. Really, REALLY loathe it. It is almost always OOC. If you can do it right, great for you. But if you can't...just...no. The same for the endless Enjolras/random barricade boy stuff. If you can do it right...yay! if you can't, shut up. Anyway, I'm also fine with most LM ships too.

HP:
I'm fine with most ships. :-) Though if I see one more insipid H/Hr fic, I will not be responsible for my actions. .

Other fandoms, I don't care particularly.

I am generally regarded as a bit of a rough reviewer. Understand that I'm trying to help. At first, that is. Until you bite my nose off, at which point I am no longer trying to help, shall we say?

1. The Lark reviews
Written for the revolutionbut July Flash Fic challenge Eponine reflecting on CosetteThe Lark. Can be construed as faintly femmeslashy. Bookverse, with musical overtones. Or some I'm told. Reviews greatly appreciated.

My personal theory on Erik's past. Loosely based, in later chapters, on the ALW sequence of events. Very little ECR triangle. Chapter three up, on hiatus. May not ever be finished.
