Becoming Tifa status:

I am so sorry for such a long delay between chapters. I want to finish the story, but I don't want to rush the last chapters just so I can say I am done. I have always had the overall idea of what was going to happen in mind, but getting it into interesting chapters for some reason right now is a struggle. I have not abandoned this story, it will be finished, but I am sorry that is it taking so long to get the words our right for each chapter. Thanks for your patience.

So I decided to reread my story as a whole to make sure there is still continuity and that it has the same feel after two years of writing. I decided to add a few things to the third chapter when Reno is introduced. It basically just gives more insight on why Tifa feels how she does about Reno, along with a few better descriptions of characters and other minor things. I feel better about the chapter and about hopefully quelling a few questions that don't really need to be asked throughout the story, at least in my opinion. Feel free to check it out if you like. Overall I think it helps the story as a whole and I am happy about that. I still plan for a massive editing session when it is completely finished, but this is something I wanted to do now since the issue was so fresh in my mind.

Chapters so far: 42

Still editing my Lockheart to Lockhart and Barrett to Barret mistakes! But I am still not done (sorry about that!) I will still be doing a full edit at a later time, right now those mistakes were the focus. I must say it has been helpful to go back to chapters from long ago, helps me to keep every part of the story fresh in my mind. In any case thank you for your continued patience with this, it is still so humiliating but a least I am getting the chance to rectify it.

Change to Ch. 25! Readers were having trouble following Tifa's phone conversation so I made a change to see if that helps. So if you had trouble following, please look at it again and then let me know if I just need to try a different way or if that little change helps get you through the conversation better. Thanks very much to the reviewers for their honesty.

Just a quick recommendation, if you have a chance at reading chapters 22 and 23 together or in a short time frame is probably best. These chapters have definitely given me my most...interesting reviews to date so please keep them coming.

Field of Dreams- Wrote it quickly in honor of a party one of the forums I frequent were having and it is just a brief glimpse at how seeing Cloud's ending in Dissidia inspired me to show what I think may have happened after the credits rolled. :)

To Be In Your Shoes-This story is for my friend The Sacred and Profane and is a work in progress.

For the Forgiveness of Sins- I am going to try for an all out JoMax and Clic Saga due to the hack job done to my Clic and the in limbo situation with JoMax. If Guza can't ever give me anything I want on GH I will just write the characters into situations I want to see. It is very theraputic to be able to write about what I want with GH characters, let me tell you!

What Now?- This is my first attempt to tackle the world of FFX and X-2. Yuna and Tidus are one of my all time favorite couples and FFX is one of my favorite games of all time. X-2 I have mixed emotions about. It was fun and it had it's moments but I found the new Yuna to be...well too new and it was a little to Charlie's Angels without the cool part of Charlie's Angels. But I have been reading a few really good fanfics about after the end of X-2 and have decided to try and write one myself. I am going with a little bit different storytelling style where I throw the audience in the middle of something big and then go back in time to see how we got here. Not sure how it will go but I am always trying to challenge myself so we will see what happens. Rikku and Paine will have a really big spotlight in this story just so you know.

Down Came the Rain-So I have ventured into writing about a potential couple on General Hospital. I had sworn not to get back into that show but those pesky writers had to go and tease JoMax and get me checking in from time to time. Grr...anyway so I wrote a oneshot about Maxie and her developing feelings for Johnny so if you happen to be a fan of GH and those two characters, feel free to check it out and tell me what you think.

Another oneshot I have is called Shooting Star. Yes shockingly enough it is a ReTi story. Sacred is to blame once again heehee. In any case this was the first time I actually tried to write Reno and Tifa in a completely fluffy tone. It is a nice break from the major angst but I think that I still have the most fun writing a mixture of angst and fluff with my own idea of comedy mixed in there somewhere. That being said I did have a lot of fun with this piece, I find a genuinely romantic Reno extremely adorable. Hope everyone will check it out, enjoy it, and tell me what they think.

Just Perfect is a ReTi one shot that I wrote from a request from fellow author The Sacred and Profane. I was a little nervous trying to write mostly humor but hopefully it is an enjoyable piece.

My Protector. The summary pretty much explains it but basically one of the forums I go to had a Secret Santa event and those who participated had to give a gift that could be given electronically. So that meant fanmade video or fanart or fanfiction...whatever you wanted to do and the person each of us gave three things the gift had to include. The person I was given asked for Aerith, Rinoa, and Yuna to be involved somehow. So that is how this all came about. After the reveal I asked her if it would be okay to put it up here and she said yes so here it is! :) It was a lot of fun to write.

Chapter 7 of Cloudless is now up. So technically it is all done but I think in a few weeks I will be doing one final re-edit to try to truly keep the mistakes at a minimum. If you have a chance please check it out, my first story (with some upgrades) needs love! :)

I owe everyone a huge apology!

So I don't think I have ever been as embarrassed when it comes to my writing as I am right this moment. Somehow I had it in my head ALL THIS TIME that Tifa last name when spelled accurately was spelled Lockheart not Lockhart. I remember going around to different sites and thought I had rechecked the original game for the correct spelling but somehow what I embedded in my head was completely wrong. I love FFVII the most out of any games and so many of the characters hold a dear place for me. Tifa is one of those characters and to think I have been writing her last name with the incorrect spelling all this time...well it is down right humiliating. I can't imagine what you all must think of my research and compentency right now. Again I apologize for this, hopefully I will not loose your respect and you will continue to come back and enjoy the new chapters.

On a quick side note in regards to Tifa's eye color. I put a quick note about it in the first chaper just recently to tackle it right away for those who find the story at this time or in the future however for those of you who have been reading for a long time now please know that I am aware that in the original game and in Advent Children Tifa's eyes are brown, however I loved her character design in KH2 (not what they decided to do with her in KH2 but that is another rant for another time) when they chose to give her red eyes and I decided to go with that change. I have been meaning to talk about that for a long time and hopefully for any of those who were wondering why I kept referring to them as ruby eyes will now understand my choice a little better.

I don't believe there are anymore horrible errors, just little ones :) but please if you find something that is extremely wrong please send me a message or tell me in a review, I want as much continuity as I can because in my opinion it makes the story more enjoyable. Again thank you all for continuing to come back and read my stories and for taking time to read this as well. I really love writing and Becoming Tifa has been especially fun for me. To find that others are enjoying the story too just makes it that more special. Take care everyone!

Huge news, Becoming Tifa has gone through a ratings change and is now rated M. Due to the upcoming content from chapter 11 on I just felt this was necessary. I truly hope no one will be turned off by the new direction but I wanted to go in this direction to see if I could write it. Therefore I could use feedback more than ever since I am now in uncharted territory.

4th story in progress: It is a Tifa story but I will say it is very ReTi as well. I have had ideas for a story with the two of them for a long while, I was inspired by other ReTi fanfics and authors that I have on my favorites list. My one shot really hooked me on making more stories with these two characters. Hopefully this new story will be interesting and exciting. I don't plan for it being mushy, focusing more on each character's personal journey but let's see if I can write a nice balance of action and romance. Unlike my other stories this one only has a an outline for what the story will be so feedback would be a huge help as I go along. :) For those who have not been by in a long while, you may want to look at chapter 4 again to make sure you are up to date on the changes. The chapter is very different from my original one.

And please note that it's a first draft so editing will be very less than perfect and I could add and take away little things here and there as I go along. This is new for me so please be patient with me.

The fanfic subjects I like the best: Stories that have the pairings of Cloud and Aerith or Reno and Tifa. But I am willing to check out any of the Final Fantasy series (exceptions: No Squall/Rinoa focused stories-do not like either character and loathe them as a couple. No Cloud/Tifa-love both characters but them together, just not my cup of tea. Besides that I think I would be open to almost any couple if the story is well written. Also now I am big into anything JoMax related from General Hospital.

As for favorite games I am a huge Final Fantasy fan (which you probably guessed). I also enjoy the Chrono Series and the Kingdom Hearts series.

Favorite shows: My all time favorites are Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. I enjoy or have enjoyed a lot of others over the years but no others come close to my Buffy and Angel :)

My other loves are hockey and football. That pretty much sums me up, not very exciting I know.
