A love-struck Romeo sings the streets a serenade,
Laying everybody low, with a love song that he made
He finds the street light, steps out of the shade
n says something like, "You and me babe, how about it?"

"I'll see you again, right..?"

UPDATE: The fan-fiction folder on my pen-drive has become corrupted. No idea how that happened but it's all gone. Strangely enough, JUST that folder. Which means that a large number of my fan-fictions are gone. Puff! Updates will be slow.

(This is an excuse, I know. and I'm sorry. Back-up is a necessity from now on. But on the bright-side, i have an idea where "Do you believe in destiny?" is supposed to be going. Just sucks that I lost three parts of it in the far future...)

Aerisofthewhite:

-loves Final Fantasy more than she does most people and doesn't know what she'd do with her life if Square stopped making them (probably just play the old games to death).

-loves so many other games, like Kingdom Hearts, Okami, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Atellier iris, Ico- but just can't bring herself to write fan fiction for them.

-is coming back to Harry Potter and hopes this means fan fiction (but asks you not to hold your breath).

-has become fanatical about Twilight (and because it's a new passion, she's spewing out fan fiction by the crate-load- if only she'd publish it all).

-still loves Naruto, but has been so busy with so much else that she can't start any of the fan fiction she writes (because she usually starts in the middle, and you can't start a story half-way through. You know, unless you're Star Wars. And her fan fictions aren't Star Wars- level).

-may just write some fantasy novel stuff (the Black Magician Trilogy is a possibility. The Age of the White Trilogy would be a definite- if they had a page for it here. Howl's Moving Castle is a maybe).

-is too busy with all of this fan fiction to really consider others- but if a new obsession creeps up on her, she'll let you know. She has so many- but she really doesn't want to decimate them with her fan fiction.

-is willing to do requests for people, if it is within her fandoms and she feels she is capable. So don't hesitate to ask (or be disheartened if it takes her waaay long to answer/ write it- 'cause she's a flighty person...)

At present, I'm between several fan fictions. I'm trying my best to write FF fiction (which is my big obsession) and to keep up with all of the Twilight ones I have planned and promised and started and started at the same time. And who cares that I have a rather major exam in (checks time) 2 days, 11 hours and roughly 8 minutes? This is so much more important.

And I'm apologising now for any one who reads any one genre of my fan fiction and has put me on alert. I know that the twilight is all mixed up with the Final Fantasy and it's confusing- but I can't really change it all now.

I'm writing strange angst at present, which I'm trying to give a bittersweet ending as much as possible but it doesn't work too weel a large amount of the time. I can't write humour because I'm not consistently funny in any one thing and what is funny to me isn't to the rest of the world. I'm flighty and can't stick to a single story for long. I'll usually try to have a story entirely written (or at least planned) before I post the first part. "Do you believe in destiny?" is the exception (and look how well that's going). I can't contain myself and stick to word limits. I'll sometimes make sentences last for 9 lines. I'm addicted to commas and I can't spell worth a damn. And more often than not, my titles will be song lyrics- because that's where all of my inspiration comes from. Squeal if you recognise them.

And I hate that you can't paste onto this thing...

Final Fantasy

FF-wise, I pretty much stick to the couples that Square bestowed upon us. I love Yuna and Tidus (because that's where the obsession began) and I'm trying to be good by writing for them. However, I largely refuse to acknowledge FFX-2 in any fan ficiton I write- for the sole reason that I think it's unrealistic at best. They messed up Yuna and Rikku's personalities (and costumes!) and lessened Tidus' sacrifice by bringing him back. Exception to this rule: Rikku and Gippal. That game gave us a hot one-eyed Al Bhed and that pretty much rescued the game in my eye(s). Lulu and Wakka could have been good if they'd done it right. I've been major-leagued converted to Lulu and Auron. Auron and Rikku frightens me.

Squall and Rinoa- but that should just be a given. It's hard for anyone not to support that coupling- and even if you don't, well, the ending kind of ruined everything for you. But they're just such a wonderful blend of contrasting personalities that just works. They're the couple that will out last every other- plus they are given the happy ending. How often does a couple get a happy ending in a Square game? However, I'll believe that Quistis was lying when she claimed she only loved Squall like a sister or that Seifer sometimes regrets letting Rinoa go. And Seifer and Quistis were obviously having a student-teacher fling (hello? She's got a whip. No way he'd say no). More than that... meh, wel'll see. I'm prepared to be converted. Selphie and Irvine's realtionship is on and off- because he's a little bit flighty and she's unsure- but I think they're gonna be in it for the long haul and work out their differences in the end. I support, but just can't bring myself to write Laguna and Raine- because I love them so much, but it's the most tragic tale.

Vaan and Penelo is nice in a dream- and hilarious in reality. Sometimes I'll take pity on him and support Larsa and Penelo- but I'll be too busy choking with laughter to write it. Baltheir and Fran is just... No. Balthier and Ashe is apparently an unconventional coupling to support. Why? Vaan is lucky to get Penelo and never stood a chance with Ashe. I believe I already dismissed Balthier and Fran. Penelo seems to like her men a little more pathetic and whiny. Al-Cid is a joke who get so blown out of the water if he ever proposed to Ashe that I want to write a fan ficiton about it. And Rasler is dead and Gray seems to have convinced me that she never really loved him anyway. No one's standing in their way- and Ashe is the princess, so she needs someone by the end. And Balthier is obviously getting some. Because A) he's just too hot to not be getting any, and B) you can't be that smarmy if you're not. It could be from anyone- but it's most likely to be Ashe (at least in secret). And I've actually come around to Ashe quite a bit and- well, they're the Hans and Leia characters! They've gotta get together! Princess and Pirate, it's written in the sands.

I sorta gone off FFVII right now- because although it's good, it's popularity is way too over-blown and Square have annoyed me with all of their sequels and remakes and spin-offs for this franchise. But- again, traditionally, I'm sticking with Cloud and Aerith because, I dunno, it just seems like, in a perfect world or in different circumstances, they were meant to be. However that doesn't mean that Aerith didn't love Zack (because, of course she did) or that Cloud can't love Tifa after Aerith died (even though I don't think he really deserves her after all of the unquestionable stupidity). It just means that if Aerith had lived, then she and Cloud might have made it- although I believe firmly that it's an impossible love, because circumstances will always be in the way and the world will always need sacrifices and heroes. I can't really support any other couplings. Vincent and Yuffie?? You gotta be kidding me! That's almost as bad as Auron and Rikku (somehow... Well, amybe not that bad, because she is almost 20 years younger than him and he is dead, but still...)! And on a really stormy lonely day, I may (just may) pull Sephiroth and Aerith out of my sleeve. Because- it's just so transfixingly horrific.

And as it's so popular right now (and I've loved this game for years), I only support Edge and Rydia in FFIV. Because Cecil and Rosa bore me, and Kain blew his chances out of the water repeatedly with all of the ladies in that party- and who else is there? Besides, they are the best characters. However, I've become obsessed with writing fan fictions about the two Edwards (because they have so much more in common than just their names- I wonder if Square planned it?). Squee. I'm so excited about the remake of this game!

(And OMG!! FF Versus XIII!! The guy in that looks set to be the hottest of the lot. Buying a PS3 just for it.

So no PS3 for another two years or so...)

Twilight

Again, I'm going to be conventional. I love Bella and Edward and nothing that my anti-Edward friends say can ever lessen that. I won't lie and say I'm an anti-Jacob-and-Bella writer- because I can believe fully that he loved Bella and she loved him as a friend (and loves him still). I can believe Bella fell for him while he was fixing her after Edward left and lied to herself about it. I can believe that, had Edward never come back (and it pains me to say this), she would have ended up with him and she could have been happy with him. It's easy for me to believe that, had she never met Edward, Bella would have fallen completely for Jacob and they would have been very happy (because, in all honesty, Bella's a lover. She's the person who should be in love with someone- because she'd find life pointless otherwise).

But I'm leaving it there because I feel I disagree with Stephenie on several counts. Firstly that Jacob was her "other soul-mate" (because you get one soul-mate. That's the way it works. There's only one. And Edward suits the role so much better. It doesn't matter that you are seperated by distance, race (ish) or time- because Fate made Edward a vampire and so Bella met him. That was the path that would have led them together and it happened. If Edward hadn't been a vampire and had died, Bella would simply have never met her soul mate, as so many others haven't. She shouldn't have a back-up soul-mate, in case she misses her own by a century). And secondly, that Bella will never get over Jacob (because that's the most morbid ending ever. That she would have to hurt forever, even though she's with her soul-mate? Ouch. Your soul mate should fill the void of love- and yeah, maybe she'll miss Jacob, but she'll miss her father and mother too. You don't see her weeping over them in quite the same way. But again, Bella's a lover. And so, she probably hates hurting the people that she loves).

End rant.

However (despite the passionate rant) Edward and Bella is just too over-done. I mean, they've got the entire book series completely dedicated to them, hoardes of devoted fans and now all of this fan ficiton as well? No, I'm veering toward Alice and Jasper for my fanatical writing. Because they're largely untouched and so more interesting to write about. And they're beautiful. Alice is the right blend of cheery and optimistic that Jasper needs to get over his anxiety that life is doomed and man-kind is merely selfish and bitter- I like to think that her personality is to him what Bella's sent is to Edward (only Jasper doesn't desire to drain Alice of her life-blood). And Jasper is Alice's stability- the only person she can count on to always be there, that she can always see in her future. Soppy, but true.

I can't write Esme and Carlisle because- well, the only Esme that I can imagine is too nice and a bit dull. I've speedily come around to Emmett and Rosalie because I love Emmett, and Rosalie- well, I'm beginning to see her as a less selfish and much more interesting character. Besides, this pair is pretty much left out (instead people give Emmett either a brother-sister relationship with Bella or a could-be-something-more relationship with Bella. Because you people love to write Emmett, but hate Rosalie. Poor Rosalie). Oh, and I'm giving Quil and Claire a try, because it's fun. They're the freest coupling I've ever met (apart from some of those crack couplings based on characters that have never met). I mean, you don't know Claire, you barely know Quil, you never see the two together and you can make them be whatever you want, so long as they love each other. And I'm sorry it's taking me so long...

Naruto

As I'm running low on time, I'm just going to stick with Naruto and Hinata for a while. I'd love to write some for Gaara, or some on Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto (and all the reasons why these people would never make good couples), or some on Neji (which could be partially covered through the Hinata fan ficiton) or even some on my friendship pairing, Shikamaru and Choji- or on so many others. But I've lost the plot on the television show (and have grown far too disturbed by all of the incest- shame on all of you) to really carry on any more. And even with just Hinata and Naruto, I'm on shaky ground. I may get them done in my (scarce) free time from school and other major fan fiction. (fingers crossed)

Harry Potter

I’m largely ignoring couplings, because they just explode out of nowhere in this fandom. I’m sticking with the characters: Ginny, the Weasley Twins, Sirius, maybe the Marauders maybe Lilly, maybe Snape (I’m just drawn to him in the final book), Luna, Hermione, the Black sisters and perhaps Malfoy. I’m only putting these down because a lot of the other characters are too over-done and just annoy me. But I’ll only write if the inspiration takes me and it isn’t at present.

Others

What else? Umm… I’m trying to get some Black Magician Trilogy fan fiction- I’ve half started writing some for Osen’s unrequited love for Sonea and I’m thinking that’ll be a theme (because that girl had every one in love with her: Cery, Dorrien, (in my mind) Osen and maybe even Regin- although, he’s got no chance). I’m much too loyal to Trudi to actually attempt anything for Akkarin and Sonea. All this is to make up for the fact that I’m producing so much Mairie and Rian fan fiction (my own personal crack pairing) and there’s no place to put it (cept on my LJ…). Howl… I’m getting there. I like him and Sophie and want to do right by them (even if it’s just a 50sentence fiction). I'm doubtful that any Princess Diaries fan ficiton will follow (in all honesty, I'm always yay close to removing that poem- because it proves I can't write poetry- but people keep leaving nice reviews while my hand is hovering over the button and I haven't yet...). But who knows. Book no. 9 is out soon, right?

And that’s it. My mind changes with every other pairing and I can't stick to any other topic for writing- cept for LoVe in Veronica Mars and I’m just too bummed by the cancellation to write some.

And if you read all that, I salute you!

R.I.P. to my old computer which faithfully held my writing for over 8 years and which finally died last summer, taking with it all of my work in that time. You went out as you live- with a lot of noise and some smoke.
