OK, basic stuff to start with. I'm Beth, and live in England. Which I don't like, FYI. My birthday's February 11th, and birthday greetings/messages are always welcome, which is just a not-so-gentle hint. I love horse-riding, and really would like a horse of my own. I'm pretty easy to get along with, I think. I love the snow. I'm like Lorelai Gilmore when it comes to snow. And I LOVE Switzerland. Too much to describe.

I've been writing fanfic for quite a while, apparently. I'm a huge shipper, and tend to stick by my ships through thick and thin (and by that, I also mean departures and sometimes even death). For some reason, all the characters I really like in a show seem to leave, get hurt, die or turn into a cannibal's assistant (Zack, Kate, Jen, Jeanne, Prue, Cole, Ray, Luka, Abby, Pratt, Addison, Warrick, to name a few), so if you like none of the same characters as me, you're usually safe!

My ships aren't often canon, but you'll get used to that. I write whatever I feel like, and to be honest I'm past worrying how OOC I sound when I write. I'm also not too reliable with updates, partly because I'm often busy and partly because I don't have that great of an attention span to stick with longer stories.

I'm obsessed with correct spelling and grammar. Though there are probably mistakes all over this profile, there's no way I'm reading it! XD People who have an apparent phobia of spell check really bug me. You know what else bugs me? When people leave a review saying "update soon" or add a fic to alerts when it says "complete". OK, I've done that, I used to click all four boxes for everything I read, but then I ended up with over 1000 favourite authors. And I know I'm not exactly reliable with one-shots staying that way, but it still gets annoying.

I ramble a lot. And I don't often stay on topic too well. You'll notice that.

I'm also obsessed with quotes, which you'll find out if you get to know me. And I quote TV shows/films/actors A LOT. Especially Gilmore Girls and Bones. Did you know Jesus was not a zombie? Well, everyone I talk to does!

I love reviews. That's another gentle hint.

TV Shows, Ships, and Other Random Points

NCIS: (loyal NCIS-ers, go here) Tony/Kate, Jen/Gibbs, McGee/Ziva, Tony/Abby, McGee/Abby. I prefer Kate to Ziva, but I do like Ziva. A bit. I haven't watched past season five because I hate that Jen died. And I hate Twilight with a passion.

Bones: Booth/Brennan, Cam/Hodgins, Angela/Hodgins, Sweets/Daisy. Until season five, I didn't like Cam. I really love Russ Brennan, I think he's a great character, and wish he'd be in the show more. I do ship Booth/Brennan, but I don't want them together until the end of the whole show. I think it'd ruin the relationship too much otherwise. Oh, and the Zack/Gormogon storyline just about broke my heart (which is a muscle and therefore cannot break, THANK YOU AUGUSTUS HILL).

Desperate Housewives: Susan/Mike, Lynette/Tom, Katherine/Mike, Bree/Rex. I used to like Gabi and hate Bree, now I hate Gabi and love Bree. Also, I really do not like Orson. Never have.

The Mentalist: Jane/Lisbon, Grace/Rigsby. This is one of the only shows that has ever come close to rivalling Bones in how much I love it. Lisbon is awesome.

Numb3rs: Don/Megan, Don/Robin, Charlie/Amita. The Megan seasons/episodes are for sure my favourite. I love Megan A LOT. And Colby. I don't like Larry. I can't give you a reason behind that, I just know I don't like him.

Life: Charlie/Dani (kind of). As in, I like the relationship and tension more than I want them in an actual relationship. Damien Lewis FTW.

The Closer: Fritz/Brenda. Brenda is for sure one of the best characters on TV. Plus I love the accent.

Gilmore Girls: Luke/Lorelai, Rory/Jess, Rory/Logan. I never liked Dean. I liked Christopher in the early seasons, pretty much all the way through until season seven, except for the whole Emily/Richard-vow-renewal-fiasco. Lorelai Gilmore is EPIC.

Cold Case: (check out this) Lilly/Scotty, Kat/Vera, Lilly/Kite. I don't like Christina, but I think the episodes she's in are some of the best. Especially Wishing. And yes, that mostly is for the Lilly/Scotty fight. Also, Mindhunters, The Woods and The Road are three of the best episodes of any TV show.

The X-Files: Mulder/Scully. OH DEAR. Three of a Kind is one of the greatest TV show episodes EVER. Yes, the show did change a lot in the later seasons, and not always for the best, but it was still one of the greatest shows ever.

30 Rock: OMG LIZ LEMON PWNS MY LIFE. Yeah, um, I love Tina Fey, like, A LOT, OK? Pete is pretty damn awesome too.

CSI: New York: Flack/Angell, Mac/Stella, Danny/Lindsay. Angell died and broke my heart. Also, I never liked Aiden. Never.

Private Practice: Violet/Cooper, Addison/Kevin, Sam/Naomi. Cooper and Charlotte aren't the worst couple ever (that's Pete and Addison-SORRY), but I still think Violet and Cooper are MADE OF WIN.

CSI: Las Vegas: Catherine/Warrick, Catherine/Grissom, Wendy/Hodges, Grissom/Sara. Sara left. Warrick left/died. Grissom left. I love Catherine, but she really can't keep the show up to it's old standards.

House: House/Cuddy, Chase/Cameron. BUT OMGWTF HALLUCINATION?!

Without a Trace: Samantha/Martin. Jack stealing Clark Medina's pen is just epic. I'm sad to see the show end.

Angel: Angel/Cordelia. The whole Darla storyline put me off, so I didn't get past the second season. Plus, Kate Lockley really did rock.

Law and Order: CI: Goren/Eames. BUT OMG WHAT ARE THEY DOING LEAVING?! I'll only watch G/E LOCI episodes. Eames is LOVE.

Law and Order: SVU: Olivia/Elliot. I don't watch a lot, and I much prefer LOCI. Plus I loved Jeffries.

Friends: Ross/Rachel, Monica/Chandler, Phoebe/Mike. SUCH A GREAT SHOW. But no film, OK, seriously.

Sex and the City: Carrie/Berger, Carrie/Aiden, Miranda/Steve, Charlotte/Harry. Without Big, the show is awesome. I never got the attraction.

Sue Thomas FBEye: Sue/Jack. AWW.

ER: Abby/Luka, Sam/Tony, Neela/Ray. RIP. So sad that such a great show had to end, because I honestly think it could have lasted longer. Plus, ABBY IS EPIC.

Criminal Minds: Derek/Emily, Hotch/JJ (I have FloatingAmoeba to thank for that one; I'd never even thought of it before), Derek/Garcia friendship. I'm not a huge Elle fan. I don't hate her, I just didn't like how she went a little too crazy. Emily is awesome. So is Spencer. SPENCER REID...GEEKS FTW.

One Tree Hill: Nathan/Haley, Keith/Karen, Peyton/Lucas. I gave up halfway through the...sixth season, I think. I used to love this so a lot. The early seasons were great, pretty much seasons 1-3, but it went downhill pretty fast.

Charmed: Prue/Andy, Piper/Leo, Phoebe/Cole. I was never crazy about the show, but it was good. I preferred Prue to Piper. Definitely.

Family Law: Dannie/Joe. AWW I MISS THIS.

Firefly: Zoe/Wash. Shouldn't have been cancelled. No way. Oh, and Nathan Fillion is EPIC. (I like the word "epic" a lot...)

MASH: Hawkeye/Margaret. This is one of those great shows you can watch any time and laugh. I love it so much.

Boston Legal - Sad to see it end, but the last season was definitely the best. I love the Alan/Denny storyline.

Golden Girls

The Waltons - Much like MASH, it's one of those shows you can always go back to.

Judging Amy - I MISS THIS. And I love Amy Brenneman A LOT.

The District - Although I only watched the first two seasons, I really did love this. And I do want to finish the entire show.

RENT, Casablanca, The Way We Were, An Affair to Remember, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Lakehouse, Speed, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Sophie's Choice, Holiday Inn, White Christmas, The Horse Whisperer, The Color of Money, Mamma Mia!, Brief Encounter, Star Trek, The Guardian, Out of Africa, La Vie en Rose, Moulin Rouge, Dirty Dancing, Secret Window, Harry Potter (all). I prefer old movies to the newer ones, and love Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Meryl Streep and Audrey Hepburn. Oh, and Bing Crosby!
I read a lot, probably too much, and love Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs, Jeff Abbott, Harlan Coben, Lee Child (OK, crime novels, basically) and Nicholas Sparks (guilty pleasure) and so many more. Wicked and Without You are two of the best books ever. Oh, and I don't like Twilight, get over it. The film's only worth watching for Carlisle, Esme and Rosalie.
I like a lot of music, for example: Idina Menzel, Rascal Flatts, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Michael Buble, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Diamond Rio, Lonestar, Dashboard Confessional, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, Lifehouse, Dixie Chicks, Snow Patrol, The Fray, ABBA, Edith Piaf.

8 Music. I'm a music person, it's something I can't live without.

Satan-Wears-Prada - great friend, great writer. Just an amazing person, really. The only Grey's Anatomy stories I still read are hers.
FloatingAmoeba - because the Cold Case stories are amazing. The others are great too.
MilkMamaReturns - perfect Bones stories. Simple as that.
MoonlightGardenias - especially Love Remains The Same and the other Bones stories.
