So I'm sitting here, waiting for "Skins" to come on the BBC, bored as none other, and thinking, 'Wow, my profile's been the same format since I was thirteen.' Please bear with me as I attempt to sum up my relatively few years of existence in a very small text box.

Call me Crick, as in, 'Bloody Hell! I've got the biggest crick in my neck!' I couldn't tell you about the absolute origin of my name, because it is very long and equally stupid. However, I will tell you the reason there's a '118' at the end is because 18 means life. Yay Judaism!

I love to read, occaisionally write (if I feel the need to be cathartic), eat chocolate, debate the stupidest questions I can think of, sing while alone, and listen to music most people hate. I collect quotes from books in my spare time and store them in an orange composition notebook. As of late I have become a horrible Facebook junkie, but it is really fun.

I hate txt type, Apple products, Twilight, those really stupid commercials promoting James Patterson novels, people I find annoying (which changes regularly), and too much repitition of the word 'like.'

My friend and I have a tradition regarding wearing sweater vests on Tuesdays. It's not a terribly important fact, but it probably tells you something about how insane/non-existent my fashion sense is. I'm sure this would be heightened if I told you that most of my sweater vests come from the men's department. Good thing I didn't include that...

I'm a people watcher. I don't know why, but I find people whom I don't know fascinating (once I know about them, I lose interest). Because of this, I'm fairly good at reading people. I know, I'm going to be a stalker when I grow up, but at least it'll be fun, right?

My favorite authors are Ambrose Bierce, Ray Bradbury, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Christopher Moore, Terry Pratchett, Harper Lee, Lois Lowry, Richard Matheson, Christopher Moore, Susan Juby, Jonathan Stroud, Kurt Vonnegut, and Markus Zusak. (An interesting side note: as I was perusing my GR account, I noticed Gregory Macguire wrote, as well as Wicked, Lost, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, etc., a kids novel called Four Stupid Cupids, a lighthearted romance about some students deciding their teacher needs to fall in love. It was my favorite book in fourth grade, hands down.)

I think that anyone who writes should read as much as they can, from as many different authors as possible, in order to find the genre and style most suited to themselves.

I have no intention of becoming a professional author, but I do want to work in publishing as either a book editor or work in marketing. I might also be a Chemist. Possibly a ballerina; five-year-old ambitions can still come true! Right?

I've never been out of the US, but I wish to someday travel the world; cultures fascinate me.

My favorite colors are green and brown, but the colors I wear mainly pertain to the Fall season. Yes, highlighter yellow is, indeed, considered a color of fall. Pwned.

My babies are my two Nikon SLRs: Travis (traditional) and Harold (digital). I enjoy capturing life in its quintessential form, so it's not often that I'll use photoshop to manipulate much more than saturation and balance--along with the occaisional, awkwardly-placed pimple. I tend to lean more towards inanimate objects for subjects, though...
