I suppose that I ought to write something here, if nothing else, so that my profile is a bit more informative.
After reading fanfiction voraciously for about a year, I finally decided to attempt my own, mostly because a few ideas just wouldn't leave me alone.
Half-Blood Prince shocked me, and has caused me to lose faith in J.K. Rowling. I can just see that Snape (my favorite character) will turn out to be irretrievably evil, and Harry will die before the end because he turns out to be an Horcrux. But, if otherwise he were to end up living happily-ever-after with Ginny and having a herd of red-haired children, I think its better that way.
The descent into apparent cliche-dom is what has made me so upset. Snape is ugly, thus he is evil. Harry has always been set up as a tragic hero, in every sense of the word. He seems to completely lack any sense of self-preservation. If he really is as stupid as he appears in the books, I hope he dies, just to put him out of his misery.
One may have noticed that Harry is not my favorite character.
On the personal side of things, I love wine and birds.
