Author has written 47 stories for Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, Final Fantasy VII, and Bleach.

NEWS:

Profile updated as of June 2009.

This account is used for LOTR/Hobbit/Silmarillion, Final Fantasy VII, and Bleach fanfiction. Other fandoms are found at my other account, Tegril1.

I'm not as active as I once was due to RealLife getting in the way.

Yes, I know—I’ve a couple thousands of things that need to be written and typed…it’s getting harder because I’m being forced into a rather small bottle called “time restrictions” when what I need is a big tub—no, make that an ocean. If only God had deemed a day to be thirty-six hours only, not twenty-four…

Two of my stories, Dark Times Approaching and Thorongil, Eagle of the Star, have been taken down. The first story will be rewritten entirely, but the other is forever gone from this site, and will be removed from other sites as well.

Apostate's Ruse and Edraith Gwador will be the last two WIPs I write. After they have been completed, I will only submit completed stories. WIPs are much too exhausting for me at the moment. I'm writing now, but don't expect updates anytime soon.

Main Profile:

For more of my profile, go here and here (Where there are lists of the fandoms I'm in, the pairings I ship, and my interpretations of canon).

I've been writing fanfiction for three years now, and I have no plans to give up yet. It's become more than just a leisurely hobby; more like another life that I enjoy too much. ;)

I'm no longer dwelling in only the LOTR fandom; FFVII has become another steady fandom that I was drawn into. And as of April 2009, Bleach fanfics will be published under this penname.

I don't flame people. I give concrit, yes, but no flames shall come from me. I don't have the guts for that. But I can be a bit harsh. :)

I'm not easily offended and I don't mind concrit (In fact, I crave it). But I can be sharp if you get on my bad side or by repeatedly flaming my stories when there is nothing to flame. I've got enough time on my hands to argue with you over something if I must. I'm fond of using sarcasm at times...

And yes, I have read slash before and know what's involved. It's a personal decision when I say that I do not care for it. I do read M-rated het stories on occasion if they're written by people I trust. Have I encountered slash writers who can actually write? Yes. Through my time during the fandom I've peek at G, PG, PG-13, and once even a R, and found they're not bad. But slash is not my thing. I can't "get into" it. Part of it is due to my upbringing, and another part it due to my stubborn nature.

I try my best to follow my own advice, but remember that even the best of the purists/nazis (and I'm not one of them) are not infallible. No one is perfect; all are human. I try to avoid being a hypocrite. If you think I'm being unreasonable about something, email or PM me--I don't mind.

ON BETA-READING: See this post before reading my beta-reader's profile.

On Canon:

When I read a fanfic, canon isn't so important as the plot and the message of a story. Canon is great, but sometimes I'll overlook a few things if the plot makes up for it. I'm not a Canon nazi, nor do I wish to be known as one.

Genres I read/write (All fandoms):

Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Family, Friendship, Adventure, Drama, Suspense, Humor, with Romance on the side. Good crossovers are also on my list. Ratings are G through R, or K through M as this site puts it. NC-17...if that's for violence, I'm all right. It's the smut and crude remarks that annoy me.

I usually don't ask, but, please--if you've read my works, express your comments, both good and bad. They mean a lot to writers, and lately, the review count has been going down for everyone. Perhaps it's a lack of interest in good fanfiction these days. For those of you who do review--it's greatly appreciated and you have my eternal thanks.

Author Notes relating to all of my writings:

None of my stories will ever be slash, yaoi, or yur. They will not imply or infer to ANY slash, yaoi, or yuri content. There is a line between friendship and romance, and I swear I will never overstep from the former to the latter. Please do not interpret any of my writings as anything else except what I have put down.

Will I ever put in an A/N that reads "Whichever love you think the story portrays is up to you"? The answer is a no.

I simply don't believe that m/m or f/f pairing are canon or true when it comes to LOTR and FFVII. Disagree with me if you wish. I have nothing against the people who read/write slash; we are not all alike. I'm prudish, not narrow-minded, and I won't condone you if you like slash. Blatant incest--no. Absolutely no to that. I'm sorry, but that's the way I feel about it. I only just tolerate the entire Túrin/Nienor thing.

As for romances, I prefer the canonical pairings. Occasionally, I do read canon character/OC romances if they are tastefully written, presented well, and if the smut level is low. My own romance stories are often oneshots, and usually romance is not even the focus of the story.

Stories still unwritten/in the works but I plan to write and you will see in the future:

-Either one or two sequels to follow Apostate's Ruse.

-A Thorongil story originally for Teitho that became too long.

-Two oneshots with Thranduil and Legolas (Since Dark Times Approaching was taken down by me, not FF.Net, for a number of reasons, and I need/want to do a couple more stories regarding these two characters. Legolas was my first love, after all...)

-500 words oneshots for the OAA prompts.

-Various FFVII fanfictions

-Dissidia fanfiction once I can find a good copy of the script.

Stories Not Posted on FF.Net:

When I was Young: Arwen's Diary. Inspired by OAA prompt 136, ‘Young.’ Written for Lady Roisin’s birthdays, as a reply to her challenge. This is Option 2, though I, er, didn’t exactly follow the requirements. Style differs from “The Qualities of a Ranger.” This fic is reserved to my LJ and SoA (though only for the moment because I may post this at HASA or OSA in the future) due to formatting that FF.Net doesn’t allow. It’s not friend-locked, so anyone can comment. And in the beginning, yes, spelling/grammar errors are deliberate.

The Librarian's Daughter: an Erestor/OFC fic written for NiRi's birthday. Four parts, nearly completed. Reserved to my LJ (It's not locked) and a couple other places because I don't want to post here and deal with the hassle. Maybe give me a few months and I might consider posting it here.

Other Information:

The icon I currently use as my avatar/image is not mine. It was a photomannip made by Cactuskim, who graciously allowed me to crop and resize it for my use. Thanks, Kim! :)

I manage a C2 on FF.Net, and staff another one. The first is a nearly complete compilation of short stories that include my favorite characters--with no slash or romance. The other is a C2 of LOTR oneshots. I also own a Final Fantasy VII C2 here.

Navaer, mellyn!

Farewell, friends!

BTW, if you're still reading this, I'm amazed that you had the patience. Now go and read my stories instead of this monster profile!
