Author has written 8 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender, Code Geass, and Bleach. Time for an update to my profile and a little information about the stories I have written for this site. First of all I am an Avatar Mom. My daughter first got me hooked on the series during season two. I love the show and love the characters. It has been years since I watched any anime series, and this one is perfect. I fell into fan fiction by accident. I had heard about the site and started to read the stories. I decided to write one for my daughter, but never intended to submit. Of course one thing led to another and here I am writing away. I am older than many of the writers on this site, and that does make me feel embarrassed at times, but I look at it like I'm living proof that you are never too old to follow your dreams, I have always wanted to write, and this has given me the courage to do it. And honestly, one is never too old to enjoy good stories, and I find that anime is riddled with incredible storylines and characters. Here's a little info on my stories and some art that I found that I liked to refer back to for inspiration: The Road They Were Destined to Take (Complete) ~ this was my first story that I wrote for this site. I love to go back and read it from time to time but it is in dire need of editing and revision. Maybe when I have some time I'll clean it up. It takes place after The Desert and deviates from canon after that. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/40124896/ The Walls between Them (In Progress) ~ this is the follow up to The Road They Were Destined to Take. I have this story planned out in my head, but sadly have not been able to find the drive to finish it. I would like to if I can so I have not pulled it from the site. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/43481924/ Cast Me Gently Into Morning (Complete) ~ I wrote this after season II ended. I wanted to restore hope in Zuko, and I thought what better way for him to grow than to work through the seven chakras. This story is also very special to me because it strongly mirrored events in my life at the time. I was working through my own betrayal like Katara, and I had to learn about forgiveness and second chances in relation to someone very close to me. As a result I poured a lot of myself into it. http://tempest-in-blue.deviantart.com/art/HC-Angsty-Goodness-46690841 Better Days (In Progress) ~ this is the sequel to Cast Me Gently Into Morning. This story follows Zuko and Katara through to the birth of their first child. It is based loosely on Zuko's visions of the future that he saw when he opened the Crown Chakra. Making Nice (Complete) ~ This one shot sat on my computer for quite awhile before I submitted it, and has been totally revamped from what I had first intended. It takes place after Episode 313, and is just something I would like to see happen. I found inspiration for this story from a few sources but an essay by MizSweet and some art by GreenifyMe really set the tone. http://greenifyme.deviantart.com/art/Zutara-Start-Over-74252057 http://mizsweet.deviantart.com/art/309-311-Making-Connections-71061313 Also a few great videos that also got me in the mood: http://www.livevideo.com/video/3E4D4988B5664418931D93859E2FF0A0/journey-to-zutara-canon.aspx | |||||||||
