An artist with a huge heart... I dedicate all of my fics to him, his friends, to the RENTheads, and to the rest of the bohemians that populate the planet. Thank you, Jonathan, for righting all the wrongs. I am in love with RENT. I saw the film in late November/early December of 2005 on a whim,not knowing what to expect, and it had me in its grasp from SOL right through the credits. It made me laugh,it made me cry. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Period. A fucking masterpiece. Angel is my absolute favorite character in RENT. She is cute, sweet, funny, loving, giving, lovely, consideratre,...GAH! She is everything I want in a lover, and everything I want to be. I could go on and on. She is perfection. I love Angel equally as a male and as a female. I refer to Angel as both 'he' and 'she' in my fics because I feel she is comfortable as such. I also feel she makes a sexy girl and an extremley cute boy and we do not see enough of her out of drag...in her natural form. I have a huge crush on her and I'm actually quite convinced that my crush has turned into an sick,twisted (yet fun) obsession! ;) For the most part, I will never,never, EVER kill her off in my fics...I just love her too much and I'm still mourning her death (I still can't listen to 'I'll Cover You: Reprise'. That scene traumatized me.). 99 percent of my fics will be Angelcentric. I also enjoy RPing her. In my opinion, the best portrayals of Angel are done by the following actors: Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Justin Johnston, and Telly Leung. FAVORITE CHARACTERS: (in desending order) 1. ANGEL!! Roger, Joanne, Benny By the way, I'm going to include Jonathan Larson in a good number of my fics as if he were a 'character'...he needs to be appreciated. If I were to rank him on the scale I have, he'd be tied with Angel...maybe even slightly above her. There is no RENT or Angel without him, after all. Now,for some more fanatic ranting about Angel! ;) She is about the cutest lil' thing I've ever seen! When I saw her as a boy,drummin' on that pickle tub, then helping poor Collins in his time of need, I cried out "Awwwwwww!" and melted into a puddle from cuteness overload from that kid! My jaw dropped at her sexiness and beauty as a girl (of COURSE I loved her as a girl)...yet, her natural beauty and cutness as a boy (remember,this is a lesbian talking! This was quite the shocker!). It's amazing. I've NEVER felt that way about a guy before. Angel was my first (and is my only) boy crush. I was literally sitting there in shock going "Wait...I'm a lesbain! WHY am I feeling this way??" Bascially, when I call Angel a 'he' I just mean she's out of drag. And 'she' means, well, in drag. You'll notice that I write my stories with Angel being out of drag a lot. And I'm sorry if I seem to make Angel rather Mary Sue-ish in my stories. I mean no disrespect. I just love her so much! I was captivated by her sweetness...I just love to exaggerate what I worship about her. My fics will be shameless vehicles for Angel and her greatness! ;) As far as pairings go...I will always be a sucker for Angel/Collins. I'm a fan of Angel/Mimi as well. If Angel is in a fic, I will probably read it. I also like...Angel/Maureen. I know, I know...it's a guilty pleasure of mine... When it comes to writing , I'm much more comfortable with humor than the more serious stuff. Please be gentle when reviewing one of my drama-genred stories. :) I will only write for RENT. Hair is pretty amazing, too...seeing as it served as somewhat of an inspiration for Jonathan to write RENT. I'm dying to see Superbia someday, Jonathan's first big show. La Boheme has my respect, even though I'm not a fan of opera. Celebrating the spirit of RENT/Jonathan Larson: Personally, I want to spend the rest of my time either donating to, working for or volunteering for charities/causes that I care about. Obviously, they're all equally important...but there are literally millions of them out there...and that's overwhelming. Anyway, I strongly urge that you guys pick a cause you're passionate about and just go for it. They can either be RENT-related or not...just the fact that you're helping someone/something is good enough. RENT is all about hope and love...and when you're giving that to someone else, it makes life a little easier to take...for all of us. You know what I'm saying?
