Author has written 10 stories for Digimon, Mighty Ducks, Saiyuki, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Danny Phantom, Chronicles of Narnia, and Star Trek: 2009.

Okay, so...Star Trek. Why didn't anyone ever tell me about Captain James T. Kirk? I had no idea such a character even existed! He's...well, he's perfect, isn't he? And if he and Mr. Spock aren't the granddaddies off all things slash, then I don't know who is.

I'm serious, you guys. I'm having fangasms. There's a giant cork board in my office covered in tacked-up 3x5 cards detailing the EPIC story that occured to me somewhere between my second and fifth viewings of this movie. If I haven't started posting it by mid-August '09, feel free to bother me, Potter Puppet Pals-style. How is a universe this perfect, with so many wonderful characters to poke and annoy (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, SCOTTY), even legal?

When I die, I'm not coming back until I can join Starfleet.

…The more I write for this fandom, the more I absolutely freaking love it. I have this vocabulary, you see, and I never get to trot it out. But here! O, here! I just wrote the phrase "trading covert hand gestures of success" and because it's Spock's thought...I'm going to get away with it. Eventually I have to figure out a situation where Spock can legitimately use the word floccinaucinihilipilification—

No wait:

“Captain, this man’s floccinaucinihilipilification of life is quite illogical.”

Jesus. I love this fandom. Can I marry a Vulcan?

LATER THAT SAME DAY:

(This popped into my head fully formed. Like some kind of cracked out Birth of Venus. Remember these radio commercials? I haven't heard one in ages. My brain is weird. If this thing ever pops up somewhere else, I'm gonna laugh my freaking ass off.)

REAL MEN OF GENIUS

Today we salute you, Mr. Unspecified Word Processor Dictionary Programmer Guy. (You know which one we’re talkin’ about!)

Without your devotion to all words processed through a dictionary, we would never have been lulled into a false sense of accurate spelling security that led to our own tragic homophonic doom. (Gotta watch the homophones!)

Yes, Mr. Programmer Guy, you alone have given us a platform that recognizes words like Spock and floccinaucinihilipilification but comes up blank for spork. (What the hell is that about?)

So here’s to you, Mr. Unspecified Word Processor Dictionary Programmer Guy. Have a cold one on us. (Mr. Unspecified Word Processor Dictionary Programmer Guy!)
