Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Twilight.

Greetings, my dear readers and those dropping through, and welcome to my profile!

A small bit about me, The Iman Lestrange -

I was formerly know across the Net as Nadiya Iman Lestrange or Princess Lestrange, and while this remains true most places, in other places - such as here and my LiveJournal - it does not. I've been through quite a bit in the past year or so and like all people, I wanted - perhaps, needed - a change, a recognition of how I've grown and changed as a person. So, if you see a Nadiya Iman Lestrange somewhere or a Princess Lestrange somewhere, rest assured it's still me. But, a different me.

When it comes to writing, I have been writing since the sixth-grade, but it was only a few years ago, around 2005 that I became brave enough to throw myself out into the fanfiction world. The rush I got from seeing my very first fic being posted - a horrid piece of something, I can admit - was awesome and I find that it continues to be there, each time I post a chapter or a new fic. I like that feeling and that is why I will continue to write fanfic for years and years yet.

A bit about me and fanfiction -

I got my start in fanfic through the Harry Potter fandom, where most of the fanfics I write are devoted to. As the fandom cools down, I sadly find that the fics I have ongoing aren't getting as much readership or reviews, though this might have something to do with the fact that I have not updated or made a concerted effort to work on or complete any of them. I'm valiantly trying, since I know there are folks out there who are highly interested in what I have written, but it is a long and difficult and winding road. So, as I've asked before, stick with me! I am seriously working to make it all pay off.

Recently though, I have found myself enchanted with the Twilight saga, and have come across several exquisite fics that have drawn me in and refused to let me go. It is quite a challenge to write a story that is comparable to what Stephenie has already given us, but there are a few who are succeeding and quite well, I must say. I, too, hope to be apart of this growing legion of Twilight fanfic authors. I was incredibly afraid of putting anything out there, fearful that what my imagination has thought up isn't quite matched with all the other fics I've read, but already, I've gotten a review or two telling me how wonderful they think it is. I am quite obssessed right now this fic and know that I am seriously going to enjoy writing it, as much as I hope you will enjoy reading it.

For a list of my works and what I have planned for them, as well as what I think about them, can be found in my LiveJournal, the link to which is at the top of this profile.

A bit about my shipping taste -

I am a notoriously fickle shipper. Anything and everything goes, as long as it is intriguing, well-written, and plausible.

Within Harry Potter, I pretty much ship everyone. I will slash anyone at a moment's notice. (Though my number one love remains Harry/Draco, with Harry/Severus on close on its heels.) I am not quite attracted to femmeslash, though I'm not adverse to giving it a try. And, without a doubt, I am more than willing and even encourage contesting, protesting, and detesting the established canon couples. For as wonderful and amazing and inspiring as J.K. Rowling is, I refuse to outright accept or force myself to like a canon couple, simply because that is how she wants it to be. Y'know, freedom of interpretation, imagination, and all that jazz.

When it comes to Twilight, though, everything that is canon is worshiped by me. I will admit, I am somewhat bored by Bella and Edward, simply because we already got their stories within the actual novel. I am a naturally exploratory person and without a doubt cannot resist asking, "What if?" Though I may be alone in this, I hated the way the Jacob-Bella-Edward triangle was resolved. In fact, I don't believe that it was a resolution at all, but instead a cop-out. So, expect nearly all of my fics to feature a continuance and much deeper exploration of what I feel is the heart and backbone of the series - the complex and complicated but undeniably wonderful and warming love triangle of Jacob Black, Isabella Swan, and Edward Cullen.

A bit of closing -

Basically, I am a pure and true writer who cannot think of anything else I want to do with my life. Nothing makes me happier than writing, I feel most at peace when I'm writing, and I take comfort in writing, for I know undeniably that no matter what happens in life, if I say so, there will be a Happily Ever After.

I hope you enjoy everything I write and tell me what is you think about it! The most rewarding part of writing, indeed, is having others know - and tell you - that they like and are entertained by what you create.

THE MIGHTY SEVERUS/LILY GENDER-SWITCH CHALLENGE

Write a fic in which Severus and Lily are the opposite gender - but, not that way through a magical accident, such as the cliched "accidental spill in Potions class" or a backfired spell. They have to have been born this way. The purpose of this challenge is to show how life and their relationship would have been different, how much would have changed and what would have changed, how much would have stayed the same and what would have stayed the same, or how much would have never occurred at all and what would have never occurred at all, had Severus been born female and Lily had been born male.

However, you must follow the rules, otherwise, the challenge won't be as...well, challenging.

RULES:

1. Severus Snape and Lily Evans must have reversed genders. Not through magical accident, but because they were born this way.
2. Nobody else is allowed to have their gender reversed. No, not even James Potter.
3. However, this is not to say that there is no slash allowed - James is perfectly allowed to pursue, fancy, and win the affections of male!Lily.
4. The style and genre in which it is written does not matter. Alternate Universe is obvious, but from there - humor, drama, angst, romance, tragedy, PWP; novel-length, novella, short-story, one-shot, ficlet, drabble. It doesn't matter. As well, it can take place at anytime in their lives - childhood, the Hogwarts years, post-Hogwarts, whenever. It merely has to emphasize how their lives would have been different.
5. Their gender-reversed names must be Severina Snape and Evan Lily. (Optional alternative: Evan Lillian.)

An optional bonus, but not mandatory:

- The story echoes canon almost exactly, including male!Lily dying for her/his son through the inadvertent actions of female!Severus.

Have fun, be creative, and share with all your fellow Severus Snape-Lily Evans fans!
