My name is Ann, I'm a sixteen year old girl, and I adore slash. That is why I frequent this site, as a matter of fact. I've been through so many fandoms since I joined it a couple years ago, and each one gets more mature and more bizarre as I get older...but right now, I'm haunting ships of:

Star Trek: The Original Series
K/S and, for the most part, ONLY K/S. Call me weird. Call me cliché. It's been said that it's the first ever slash pairing, but all I can say is that I think it's the best. Ever since I got into TOS, I've been smitten with this pairing. I mean, it's practically canon! LOOK AT HOW CLOSE THEY STAND TO EACH OTHER, ALL THE COVERT LOOKS AND TOUCHY-FEELY AND JUST ACTOR CHEMISTRY IN GENERAL. I MEAN THAT'S NOT A TYPICAL CAP'N/FIRSTOFFICER RELATIONSHIP IS IT?! AND HAVE YOU SEEN THE FILMS? SLASHTASTIC!!1!! :blushes: I'm sorry. I'm a geek and a fangirl combined, and the result is rather scary.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
FordArthur. Because, the quintessential H2G2 fangirl question: Why did Ford bother saving Arthur? It drives me mad, AND WE SHALL NEVER EVER KNOW. (I don't count the movie as canon, though the slashy bits I rather liked. Just the out of character Ford Prefect I did not.) And they have their moments.

I am...a science fiction geek.
And it's not just slash. I definitely ship het parings as well. I just feel that slash is more special, for some reason. I'm a shipper. A fangirl. And loveisloveislove. Even in the most unconventional formats.

I had sworn off of writing fanfiction for a while, because I thought that it was to be seen and not heard, and I had better things to do but waste my time. But I'm inspired; empowered now. After sifting through all the crap to get to the gems, I have taken it up, and it's not seriously crappy crossovers laden with crappy inside jokes and OCs with hidden agendas. Right now, I've got an H2G2 fic, and an ST:TOS one is next, I hope; I want to do a fairly short one-shot for each of my OTPs based upon the reasons why I slash them, and not necessarily make them hardcore slashy, mostly on the cusp of BL-ness. I'm certainly going to be concentrating more on my own personal OTP, Cero and Eva, from my WIP (for almost four and a half years now...) Tales of Something(the title is still a WIP too...). I've got a 100 Themes challenge going for them, and need to take a break from slash for a while to flesh out their characters even more and perhaps FINISH MY DAMN BOOK.

But until I update again, fangirls and fanboys, I have one thing to say: Live long and prosper. :)
