Author has written 11 stories for Harry Potter, Smallville, and Star Trek: 2009.

Well, let's see...I'm male, 40's, Southern American, overeducated and read far too much fanfiction. So, obviously, I decided to write some. Once Upon A Cedric was started in response to a request for a story that didn't kill off our favorite sex-on-legs Hufflepuff, so I had to come up with some way for him to survive the AK in the graveyard. The story was actually begun before the Deathly Hallows but just lay around until recently when the plot bunny bit me--again. As will be seen, it's not epilogue compliant (thank Merlin!) and is essentially complete...but the bunny keeps gnawing me. I'll keep writing it until the bunny leaves or the computer finally dies the final death (should be sometime next week, at the rate it's going--the computer, not the bunny).

As of today (November 18, 2008) the story (for Once Upon a Cedric) that I had intended to write is complete. However, it's taken on a life of its own and refuses to just die...so, I'm now writing about the boy's summer fun. I'll try to keep cranking it out as long as the bunny keeps gnawing on me, but since I know myself too well (and HATE incomplete fics...fictus interruptus is a BAD THING) I don't think I'll publish the summer fic until it's almost finished. Since I'm posting a chapter a day and only writing 1/2 of a chapter a day on most days, you see the difficulty. I will, however, say that the summer fic is considerably lighter (so far) than the original--it's the whole 'trying to avoid a Dark future' thing, I think. Plus, having one of the two main characters be alive rather than dead is a definite plus.

As for the rest...who knows?

So, here's some stuff about little 'ole me:

Fav fiction authors: David Weber, Eric Flint, Laurell Hamilton, Robert Heinlein, Alan Moore, Naomi Novik, Ayn Rand, David Drake, S.M. Sterling, Harry Turtledove

Fav fiction characters: Honor Harrington, Lt. Leary and Mistress Mundy, Laurence and Temeraire, Merry Gentry, Night Owl, Prince Roger

Author I'd most like to beat with a rubber hose to make them write faster: David Weber (close second: Naomi Novik)

Fav music: anything by a group with 'Philharmonic' in the name, the Radio Paradise playlist

What I want to be when I grow up: Supervillian, with a sideline in stand-up comedy. Alternate: host of my own food show

Fav time-wasting pastimes: Travian, fan fiction

Fav all-around pastime: reading reviews from all of my wonderful readers

UPDATE 12/7/08: Smallville drabble posted, just because. The sequal to "Once Upon a Cedric is going fairly well, now almost twice the size of the original and still growing. I'll probably start posting in sometime the week of Dec. 15th as a holiday gift for you wonderful readers.

UPDATE, 12/21/08: First chapter of One Wizarding Summer (sequal to Once Upon a Cedric) is up. It's not finished yet, but I've got enough up to start publishing it...plus, it's a holiday gift to all of you who asked for it in reviews. Unlike Once Upon, I probably won't be publishing a chapter a day, but the chapters will be longer. This is the story where I explain some of the inconsistencies I find in the canon works, so bear with me. There should be MUCH less pure exposition than Once Upon required, so it should be a better read. I hope so, at any rate.

UPDATE 12/31/08: Ways to Cheese your Lover is up--this is a Generic Universal Slash Fan Fiction story suitable for Harry Potter, Smallville, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Supernatural (and many others). It's just a bit of extreme silliness carried to, well, extremes. Yes, it's absolutely horrible, and I hope you like it! Also, Chapter 7 of One Wizarding Summer is up...Happy New Year! It's been a wonderful time, and I look forward to more of the same in the next year. Be well, all!

UPDATE 1/23/09: Well, One Wizarding Summer continues to go well, but the posting has been a bit slowed down...sorry, kids, but I've also just finished a screenplay (Yeah! Fat Man does happy dance! House shakes!) for a movie to be made this summer (we hope, cross your fingers) have another screenplay project slated for fall that I've got to start on, a new business to try to get started, and my own fiction to work on along the way. Plus, several other fanfic stories that need to be finished. Don't worry, though...One Wizarding Summer is almost finished, and I'm starting to plot out the next segment (Harry's 5th year) in my head. I'm having too much fun with Harry & Cedric to let them go now.

UPDATE 2/28/09: One Wizarding Summer continues, but I'm almost out of pre-written chapters. There may be a slow-down in postings in the near future as RL bites into my fanfic writing time, but the story will (hopefully) not languish too long between posts. I seem to be a victim of my own success, as it were...I've got more (paying) work to do, and I can only write so much every day. I've started giving Shout Outs! to my non-USA reviewers in the end of chapter notes. Why? Well, considering what President Bam-O and the Damnedocrats are bound and determined to do to the USA's economy, I figure that before too long I'll be needing a place to stay. Might as well start sucking up now... sigh Note to Self: Buy gold, keep passport handy! Also, make Sign: Will Write FanFic for Food. Of course, they're only doing it "for the greater good". sigh Just like Albus Dumbledore...

UPDATE 6/27/09: A new last chapter is up for Once Upon a Cedric, which tells what happens back in the 'other' universe. Also, a new avatar is up, provided by of serendip (to whom we are very grateful). Obviously, this shows Ced and Harry as they are at the end of One Wizarding Summer, rather than the author snicker. One Wizarding Summer is finished and the final chapter will be posted either later tonight or tomorrow, and the sequel (working title: Harry Potter and the Veil of Destiny) should begin posting in 2-3 weeks. Last word of One Wizarding Summer: 'spanking'.

UPDATE 7/24/09: Well, Dating the Captain was well received, so I wrote a not-sequel heh. The prequel, which takes place during the first part of the ST:2009 movie is nearly done, and the first chapter of The Win-Win Scenario is posted. Now, you can find out what REALLY happened to the simulator Jim's third try at the Kobayashi Maru scenario. Sorry it's taken so long, but life keeps wanting me to do other things besides write fanfic. Still, ideas for the sequel to One Wizarding Summer are coming together, and work on it has begun.
