I frantically looked around the room, searching for a way out, to find some way to keep living, but it was hopeless, she was going to get me, and there was nothing I could do. Oh, what would Charlie think and Renee and Edward, oh my Edward. I couldn't give up. I had to fight. I grabbed my desk chair and held it in front of me like a weapon. In this case it was my weapon. I looked out the window, ready to face my attacker, wishing I could see Edward one last time- And then I did. I screamed in shock and promptly dropped the chair on my foot. From "Of Brainlessness and Bras" (Twilight, Complete, sequel to Dimness): "I was going over wedding plans for you in my mind and I knew I was missing something, so I thought it would be best to take a peek into the future and see what I still needed. Imagine my surprise when I see you, a still human Bella, getting down and dirty with no-nonsense Edward, my brother." I could feel my face flush scarlet. This was so not good. "You have no right to look at things like that," I snapped. But Alice just continued on like she hadn't heard me. "Of course I didn't watch for long because that would have been horribly rude and not to mention a little disturbing, watching you and my brother, I mean. But one thing that I could not get out of my head was what you were wearing. I mean honestly Bella, this will be your first time and you can't just wear any old bra and panty, you have to show off a little." I now knew where this was going. "Oh no," I said, dreading the thought of it. "Oh yes," said Alice happily, speeding up a bit. Which is how an hour later I was getting out of the car and being pulled into Victoria's Secret by a very enthusiastic Alice. From "Welcome to My Life" (Twilight, Complete): Charlie's mouth dropped open in shock. He'd obviously thought I'd cave and go to Florida. "Then, where will you go?" To find them I thought. To beg him to take me back. To get Alice to help me change his mind. Maybe I'd start by looking for him in Alaska, with Tanya's clan. Maybe they would have some news. "To Alaska," I told Charlie. I knew as soon as I said it that it was a good place to go. It felt... right. Charlie's mouth dropped open in shock. "You are not!" "I am so!" "And just when are you planning on going," Charlie asked, his face going red. I thought about it. The idea of finding Edward was so good to me... a smile formed on my lips. "Now," I said, and I ran upstairs to pack my bags. "What!" From "Shy" (DOTM, Complete): "Look Serena, the real reason that we are having this meeting is because we wanted to talk to you about you and..." "Stanton," Serena interrupted them. Everyone looked at her strangely. "Yeah, I know that you want to talk about Stanton. I'm a mind reader, remember?" "Oh," Tianna said cheerfully. "Then you also know that we want you to break up with him," Tianna asked her, thinking Serena took the news pretty well. "You what!" "Or not," Tianna mumbled. From "Shadows on the Wall" (DOTM, Complete, Sequel up): She stopped suddenly in front of some lockers. Of course, me being the big idiot that I am, kept on walking until I heard her go, "Hey." Because I am just so cool like that. Wow, wait to go, moron. After I sheepishly came back to her, she pointed to the locker in front of us and said, "This is your locker." Wow, thank you captain obvious. Like I couldn't have figured that one out on my own after having obliviously walked right past it. No, really, I thought we were just randomly stopping for no reason. Catty pointed to the locker right next to the one she so skillfully called mine. "This is my friend Jimena's locker. If you have any questions you can ask her." Right, because that's the first thing I'd do. I put my stuff away. "So where are you from," she asked me. "New York." She looked at me for a moment. "I can see that," she said. I looked at her in surprise. "You can," I said. "How?" She smiled. Again. I was starting to get sick of all this peppiness. Maybe she was a cheerleader. I made a mental note to ask her that later. "I could tell because you have an accent." Oh. That would explain it.
