Welcome to here from wherever you come from. After I discovered Harry Potter Fan Fiction, it reawakened a passion for writing that I had given up for lack of time years ago. My dream is to write and publish a novel someday. I would guess that most ff writers have that same dream. But if we can't publish publically and for profit, at least we can do our writing in a thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying venue like this.

I collect and love elephants, hence the name Loxodonta-magica. Yes, I made it up. It's as close as I could get to 'Magic Elephant'. I am a wife, mother of three, and teaching assistant, and I live in Texas. That pretty much means that I have little extra time to write, but then again, the housework takes a back burner, so my house is a wreck while I do my creating/writing. If I do find myself having to do real work, I am usually day-dreaming out scenarios while I'm at it!

Thanks for reading my fanfictions. Reviews and comments are welcome and Miss Muse loves them like she loves chocolate!! If you flame, I'll just ignore it, or cast my own Asbestios Protego counter hex.This is a hobby and not meant to be anything but a romp in JKR's playhouse. She owns everything, except my soul and my children. When appropriate, I will also credit other works. I am meek and lowly and poor, so don't think I am making anything of this except practice for 'the real thing'!

I have participated in NaNoWriMo a few times now. Wow! It is so hard to write 50000 words in one month! But writing fanfiction appears to have been great training to do my own original work! I can now report that I made it once! 50,000 words of an original story! Now, if I just figure out what to do with it...

As of the summer 2009, I am working without a beta. Every effort will be made to review and edit before I post, but I am not a professional. Be nice.

Another disclaimer: all my fics are AU. I use canon events and characters, and I try to keep within certain timelines for the way things happened in the books. But when I jump off into my own universe I reserve the right to tell the story as I see it. I cannot be weighed down by some people's need to see everything in perfect alignment. It is what it is. It is fiction. It is fanfaction. It does not have to make perfect sense because it is also fantasy... my fantasy...

About my fics...

First Prophecy (FP): This story is AU and not compliant with canon after POA. I have used many events as having happened in my fic, and have left out others. For instance, Sirius is gone, and Umbridge doesn't exist in FP. This is my first efforts at fanfiction, and looking back, I cringe at some of the chapters. I intend to edit/rewrite after I am done with the sequel(s).

Best Dramatic Fiction: "The First Prophecy”

Into The Lightning: Harry goes west to get away from wizarding Britain and to guard the secrets about his own magic after the defeat of Voldemort. Severus didn't die in the Shreiking Shack and he too has gone west to begin again. It's a small world when they manage to end up in the same place!

Primoris Oraculum Duo (POD): This is the sequel to First Prophecy, and is Complete as of October 2007. Some have asked for a follow-up, and while I first said no, I am now considering it!

Search For His Soul (SFHS): At this point, I am uncertain whether or not this is merely a continuation of my one-shot The Kiss, or if it will be the third in the First Prophecy series. Miss Muse has been developing the story randomly and nothing is yet in order. In fact, I have already written the last chapter!! Therefore, I haven't posted anymore on it yet. It's not exactly stalled, but not post-able, either.

Black Phoenix (BP): This one took on a life of its own...going from its intended one-shot to a long chaptered fic! Finally finished! This was my first slash attempt, so bear that in mind if and when you read this one. Mild by comparison to most slash fics, it is a HP?SS pairing.

Haja: Began in the summer of'09. An idea that won't rest until written, born of a recollection of a short story by Stephen King (I think... may be someone else; let me know if you figure it out before I do!) Harry is an animagus, forced to transform for the first time in violent circumstances. This is the story of his journey through this and changing friendships as he readies to take on Voldemort. Update 3/17/11: My Muse is stuck. I am valiently trying to work out the bugs in the plot before I dare post again. This story is not abandoned, but rather on a hiatus of sorts.

I have a few on the back burner; another slash fic, the continuation of SFHS, (I worked on SFHS during the 2009 NaNoWriMo event, but it is still not finished) and a continution of The Portrait.

One-Shots:

A Conversation With Merlin: This is an example of how Miss Muse develops my ideas. I had this written way before it actually it fell into place in POD. It seemed like it could stand alone, so I posted it. Minor changes were made in the actual placement in the story.

The Kiss: This started out as purely a one-shot. Lots of people have told me that a SS/HG ship is icky, but I have grown to love the idea. SFHS will be a continuation/explanation of the why's raised in The Kiss. Nominated in the Darkfic category of the 2007 Quills Fanfic Contest

Sandcastle: This is just a one-shot that Miss Muse had to do! Maybe it will be incorporated into one of the stories...maybe not...

Unicorn Dreams: This is just a one-shot bit of fluff to feed my new affection for the SS/HG ship.

The Portrait: After reading Deathly Hallows, I was disappointed in the lack of closure given to the demise of Severus Snape. This one-shot came about as a response to that, and a need to have some degree of hope that his death might have been assumed, when it had not, in fact, occurred!

Liliana: A one-shot follow-up to Black Phoenix. Harry and Severus have a daughter. There will possibly be more stories in this arc. I have a few ideas about Liliana as she grows up, and the development of the family dynamics, given Harry's secret.
