Hello everyone!
My name is Angela and I love to write for fun (fanfiction!), draw, play the piano, and learn Spanish. ¡¡Me hace feliz!! During the school year I'm generally super busy with homework and other after-school stuff, so sometimes it's hard for me to keep up with writing stories and posting them, but I love to do it nonetheless.
Tip for all fanfic authors: Please, please, PLEASE check your work before you submit it onto this site. It's hard for me to take stories very seriously if they have not even been checked over for spelling and grammatical errors. A few mistakes here and there isn't a problem (Hey, I'm sure I have some on this page), but a lot of obvious mistakes shows carelessness and that is not what a reader wants to be presented with while taking the time out of his or her day to read your work. I'm not trying to be mean, but I want to HELP you make your stories more effective and believable by asking you to polish them up and make sure that they sound more realistic. Thank you for taking note of this.
Anyway, I only really have two favorite pairings in the Stargate world: Stargate SG-1: Sam/Jack and Stargate Atlantis: Elizabeth/John, although I don't mind Ronon/Teyla and Ronon/Jennifer. I am a HUGE Sparky fan! Oh wait, I also like Janet/Daniel! (Even if that doesn't really exist...)
Note: I have just bought the fourth season of Atlantis and I must say... what a disappointment. This show has gotten really predictable, for one thing, but the fact that all of my favorite characters are being tossed out the window really makes me question whether I want to continue watching the series or not. The show was the best during the first three seasons, but now it's turning into SG-1 all over again for me. Really, Weir, along with characters like Carson and Heightmeyer, really defined Atlantis and shaped it into what made it such an awesome show, but now it doesn't feel the same way. I think I'll be looking for a new show to watch pretty soon if Atlantis doesn't improve in the near future.
Other pairings I love are The X-Files: Mulder/Scully and Dogget/Reyes. I'd probably write something for the X-Files, but there are sooo many fics out there already that it would take forever to look through them all to make sure I had something original. Beverly Hills 90210: Andrea/Brandon (Cutest. Couple. Ever. Period.).
Anime and manga are pretty cool too, although I think I'm moving beyond that and into studies of "real" literature as I begin to take more advanced classes in school. Bleach might still be a guilty pleasure of mine, though. ;)
As far as my own work goes... I don't care much for writing, or reading for that matter, really angsty fics. That doesn't mean I don't like serious stories, but when they are just full of overly-emotional despair... it's just not my flavor, I suppose. I think I actually tend to throw humor into my stories without realizing it, because it just seems more realistic to me, more "human," if that makes any sense. However, my opinions of my writing may very well differ from your own, so I really appreciate reviews of my stories, even if you only have a couple words to say - I'd love to hear them! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you soon! ;)
