I'm a longtime fan of many genre sf/f, mystery, and animated TV series and films, but have only fairly recently wandered into the greater community of fanfic writers. Shows I've enjoyed go as far back as the Adam West Batman series and the original Maverick, range widely (Remington Steele to Gargoyles to Knight Rider to the Muppet Show), include the moderately obscure (Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?) and such recent/current programs as Jackie Chan Adventures, Veronica Mars, Smallville, and just about all the animated incarnations of Batman. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it will do for a start.

What's brought me to FF.Net at present is chiefly the strong community of Kim Possible writers. I've been reading their work for some time now, and finally decided that I needed to sign up with FF in order to properly acknowledge my respect for much of what they've created. I will definitely be building a list of favorite writers and stories; bear with me as I settle in, as it may take some time to backtrail works I've enjoyed as a visitor and compile a full sampling of what I've found most satisfying.

I've been working primarily on Kim Possible projects to this point, and may wander in other directions down the line. A few words about my KP interests and biases are probably in order:

1. I am pairing-flexible; I will read K/R and Kigo with equal interest, provided the stories are well-written. If the characterization is good, I'll grant a writer a lot of working room, and I find a number of the nonstandard and minor-character pairings interesting and entertaining. As to what pairings I'm likely to write: the "Sitch in Slash" series reflects a lot of my thinking about Kim and Shego without actually being Kigo, and I have now begun a completely different series exploring the Kim/Ron/Yori triangle.

2. As the preceding comment may indicate, I value good writing very highly, though I also recognize some of the constraints inherent in the fanfic process. (Note that "good writing" is not limited to sentence structure, proofreading, and so on; the best writers, whether fanfic or pro, are simply better at using the language than many of the rest of us.)

3. I diverge from apparent fannish consensus on a couple of points of KP mythology, most notably the location of Middleton. It seems to me that Middleton ought logically to be roughly equidistant from Florida (and Nana Possible's retirement home) and Montana (site of the Crooked D Ranch). Colorado just doesn't fit those criteria; my best guess would put Middleton somewhere along the Indiana/Ohio border. Prior to Season 4's canonization of Ann as Mrs. Dr. Possible's first name, I'd also developed my own theory on that point; for details, see the notes at the very end of I Suppose This Means They Read the Fanfic.

A Midsummer Day's Nightmare
In Progress. A Muppet Show/Shakespeare crossover, initially conceived as a Yuletide NYR story, set aside for a long time, and now uploaded in response to a challenge in the "multific" community over at LiveJournal.

The Wrong and the Sickness: Director's Cut
Complete. AU; ignores Season 4. Written for the "Guess the Author #4" competition (theme: "soap opera"). Kim is about to marry Ron -- but three different foes have plans to stop her, and her mother has a potentially devastating secret that may change everything.

So Not Exactly the Drama
Complete. AU; scene/oneshot, written by request. The "out there/in here" moment from So the Drama, re-imagined as occurring between Kim & Shego.

Monkey Chi, Monkey Du
In progress; updates intermittent. Crossover with Jackie Chan Adventures. Somehow, crack Global Justice agent Will Du has been turned into a wooden puppet -- and that's the least of Team Possible's (and Section 13's) problems when Monkey Fist crosses paths with the mythical Monkey King.

A Sitch In Slash
AU series, starts late in Season 3. Shego writes fanfic; via Monique, Kim's developed a rep as a world-class beta reader. When they learn about each other's talents, a variety of complications ensue.

1 • Favor for Favor
Complete. Shego's come up with the perfect evil dilemma. If Kim agrees to beta her extra-spicy fanfic, her goody-two-shoes image will be toast; if she refuses, her "I can do anything" reputation for trading favors will be tarnished. Meanwhile, Drakken's baking fruitcakes...

2 • I Suppose This Means They Read the Fanfic
Complete. Crossover with Shaenon Garrity's Narbonic, retitled (previously "The Cross and the Beta"). The subjects of Shego's latest smutfic have targeted her for assassination from three universes over. Mrs. Dr. Possible may be able to save her -- but can she keep Kim from getting involved? And why are there more gerbils than usual on the streets of New York City?

3 • Once More With Ninjas
Forthcoming. Someone's been flooding the 'Net with graphic RPF slashfic starring Kim and Shego. Now whoever's behind it had better hope that the duo dies from embarrassment before they catch up with the mysterious author...

Seasons of the Lotus
AU series, starts two weeks after the events of So the Drama. The Lotus Blade wasn’t the only prize Ron earned at Yamanuchi; he also captured the heart of Yori, ninja student par excellence. But now that Ron and Kim are an item, what will happen when Yori makes her own feelings known?

1 • Unsealed With a Kiss
In progress. Yori arrives in Middleton shortly after the conclusion of the Diablo affair, with her eyes set firmly on Ron. Not surprisingly, Kim is less than thrilled -- but she may need Yori's help as well as Ron's when Senor Senior Sr. launches a scheme to gain control of the world's supply of chocolate.
