Author has written 11 stories for StarTrek: Deep Space Nine, Jericho, Bewitched, and Battlestar Galactica: 2003. Hello again. I'm not sure how to change it, but I'm also listed here under the Nightbird. I have no idea what my old e-mail was then so reregistered. There are a couple of Star Trek DS9 stories on the very end of the list that were uploaded from that account. The titles are Limited Options and Interlude and they are on the last two pages of the DS9 listings under The Nightbird. No luck from the admins to change the name but they are mine. Life took a turn and I didn't do too much writing for a time but am trying to get back into it. I have a lot of stories that were posted on the old usenet group startrek.creative which never got posted so I will have to add them. I have been reading over several of the series stories I did, and will be posting them as I revise. Not reading something for a few years gives you a whole new perspective on it. I'm currently revising and fixing a VERY long novel called Legacy, which is one of my AU's about how the feds lost the Dominion war, or at least some of them. Its being posted now. There are four parts. I will probably do it in four sections since they are long. Year 1 was written. I still have about half of Year 2 which will have to be finished again after a hd/system crash from a short which even took the keyboard with it. I have a website with almost all the trek stories. http://thesnowleopard.net/arch1.html Please note that I am editing the stories on this site to post and eventually will get them updated as I conplete a story. This used to be on geocities and my friend transfered it so it would not dissapear. With Legacy, I discovered there is a bad file on Chapter 12 there and may find others. I hope to also post the stoires there on this site in updated/typofixed form, along with the next parts of the series. The versions here are being updated but I hope to eventually get them revised as well. One, Surrender, is rated R and deals with the absolute loss of the Dominion war. It is the first of three parts which will happen when I finish with Legacy. But it is kind of a sister story to Legacy and many of the same oc characters appear in that and other of my stories. The R is more for violence than sex though there is violent sexual content. Not sure where to put it on ffnet. It probably will be M I would really really love to hear from you if you like my stuff or not. I really hope you do but would like to know what didn't work too. Since starting to write again I've gotten a bit... obsessive about it. I have x number of months before it gets winter and turns cold again and want the house remodle FINISHED but its hard tearing myself away from my word worlds. I get so much joy and satisfication from writing its very important. My stuff tends to be alternate histories so don't be suprised if I blow cannon out of the picture. I am fascinated by the darker shadows where most commercial stories won't go. I like to take my characters to places they have never been and see what they are made of too. I'm not much for romance or laughs, but will give you a look at parts of a character which most tv never will dare. My themes tend to be mature, and there are several where the Federation or parts of it lost the Dominion war, and I write about what their lives came to be. Having a fascination with history, I did considerably research with diaries and writings of those real people who have experienced this calamity and hope I have done well enough in painting their worlds. I have a few Jericho stories which will be posted as well, all (mostly all) somewhat alternative. Since CBS didn't see to pick it up to continue past the second season, it has lots of fascinating places to go. I have used some of the background from the alternate reality game which was playing out as well. I have an au of the events following season 2 and haven't read the comic since I don't want to be influenced. My Jericho is a bit different too. Sometimes everyone was just a bit too nobel. I go with what I read in real peoples diaries of how they behave. I love to write, but also lots of other creative endevors. I crochet, sew, do tapestries, and have been making furnature. Don't even ask about my obsession with the Food Channel and experiments in spices. I see myself as someone who hangs around the edge of the crowd and watches, rather than the life of the party. Sometimes I read my own stuff and am astonished by the things I didn't know I was saying. I've been active in science fiction fandom and since moving to Oklahoma am looking forward to finding like minds here, who understand my out of the box world. I am also a lover of filk, and have written a few songs. I'm a terrible guitar player but I have fun (mostly in private lol) I truthfully am in the middle of renovating my house, so do not have the time to beta read, but eventually will be done and would love to then. But while I never took a writing class, my friend Paula and Gabrielle taught me with their through reviews how to paint the right pictures and have done a lot of it with others. I am glad to be back.
