Anything that doesn't look like it was in the original game... it probably wasn't. Unless, however, the content was taken from a mod; if that is the case, then all credit to the creators of said mod.
Heh... just got around to thinking, maybe I should put some stats up here since that's generally what a profile is, yes?
Gender: Male
Age:20
School Status: Junior at Oregon State University
Major: Computer and Electrical Engineering
Interests: Reading, playing in big Halo 3 parties with friends, getting my degree, helping out with my church's youth group and youth programs, RPG's and/or strategy games, playing harmonica by myself or the congas with some guitar and piano, hunting, weight lifting and of course, writing and reading Baldur's Gate 2 fanfiction.
Personal reading/reviewing policy: I generally try to reply and thank anybody who's nice enough to drop a review for my stories, as long as you're signed in. If you're not... well, it makes it kind of difficult. So if you want me to reply, please sign in before you review. Or not, if you don't care to have me reply back, I personally don't have a preference. In fact, if you don't want me to reply, just let me know in the review or by email and I'll be happy to oblige. Although if you have a problem with any of what I'm writing or want to voice some complaint, please be signed in so I can reply back and possibly answer any question/complaint. Thanks.
Concerning my own writing style... well, it's a bit eclectic. Sometimes I feel like writing heavy on the description, other times on the dialogue. I guess the thing to say is that I write what I think will be enjoyable for both the reader and myself. If it's not the kind of writing you care for, that's quite all right. Trust me, there are numerous other authors here that are way more talented than me.
I think that's enough about me... though if anybody feels the desire to chat or ask me anything, don't hesitate to drop me a line: I generally check my email a dozen times a day, so odds are you'll get a response fairly quickly.
Interestingly enough, when I first got the idea to write a Baldur's Gate 2 novelization/fan-fiction a few years back, I was naive enough to think I was one of the first people to come up with that idea. Right... So! After finding this little cache of stories and writings which so quickly popped that certain fantasy of mine, I only recently got the courage to post my own little tale amidst these talented and amazing authors' works.
College life is a bit on the time-consuming side, so this BG2 story might be the only fic I ever post, but it will be finished, that much is certain. Even though it's grown beyond all comprehension and possible reason, I will finish it. Ideally, I intend to post the TOB section for Tale of the Bhaalspawn as well, along with a third and as of yet unnamed story, Post-TOB, to wrap up my own little Trilogy that's been bopping around in my head. Whether I get the time to write and post all of that is a little uncertain, but rest assured I'll do my best.
Update on Tale of the Bhaalspawn: Sigh... well, it turns out that writing styles change over the years. Funny, right? Tale of the Bhaalspawn has been a long work in progress, spanning a number of years. Looking back at some of the first few chapters I posted of the story... eh... not so good. So as a quick apology, I understand the first few chapters aren't so great. I fully intend to revise them as soon as I get some free time. Odd how things picked up after Chapter... 3? 4? Either way, if you're someone who starts reading and is turned off by some cheesiness or corniness in the first few chapters... give the rest a chance. Trust me, it's better. Well now! Finally got some time to rewrite Chapter 1! With any luck, I'll manage 2 and maybe 3 some time soon... but don't hold your breath.
New Addendum: Concerning the series of humorous shorts under the main title of Breaching the Screen, I have to give some credit where it's due. Steve Haskell, my friend, thanks for the awesome times chatting up BG2 and all the laughs you gave to me, inspiring these little stories and hopefully in turn, giving some laughs to the folks reading it here. You've got a wicked-awesome sense of humor, man... a big thank you for the ideas and letting me use your BG 2 character for this fic!
My very best to all the fantastic writers out there who have entertained me with new takes and new worlds involving these favorite characters of mine, and a special thank-you for those who have seen fit to check out and review my own contribution to the realm of fan-fiction.
Regards and God bless,
Captain Incredible
In this world, you must be either oh-so-smart... or oh-so-pleasant. For years I was smart. I recommend pleasant.
